Married in High School? - Chapter Thirteen

After looking up his address on my phone and plugging it into my GPS, I drove to his house which was surprisingly only five minutes away. Pulling up to a house similiar to mine, I was surprised. I had assumed Jesse  had lived in...well...a different house. I marched up to the door and knocked, hoping someone was home to answer. A woman with blonde hair opened the door, and she looked about the age of my mother, so I assumed it was Jesse's mother. "Yes dear?" she asked me. She was dressed in nice slacks and a blue blouse that went well with her skin tone. I liked her immedietly.

"Hi, I'm Olivia Hall, Jesse and I go to school together. Actually we were paired up for the new senior project," I babbled. "So I was wondering if he was home?"

She smiled at me, and nodded, opening the door wider. "He's the third door on the right." She pointed towards the stairs. "I've tried to wake him up three times this morning," she shrugged. "Good luck."

I smiled, thanking her, before quietly walking up the stairs. The walls were lined with pictures, and it seems as if they were in chronological order. There was a wedding photo at the bottom of the stairs, followed by pictures of pregnant bellies and babies who turned into toddlers and young men. I noticed that Jesse had an older brother and younger sister. Counting the doors, before rounding a corner and coming to his, I had expeced stolen road signs and dangerous cross bones, but it was a plain white door. I knocked on it, quietly at first, before yelling his name and banging on the door. I sighed when there was no answer. I looked at my phone, and I saw I had ten minutes before I had to leave. This field trip had taken a little bit longer than expected. Trying the door knob, it was unlocked. Did I dare to go in? What if he got angry? What if his room smelled? And God forbid...what if he slept naked?!

I pondered the possibilities before deciding that his mother wouldn't have sent me up here if he was indecent, so I cautiously opened the door, and poked my head in. "Jesse?" I whispered, seeing a bed with a sleeping figure in it. Noticing a window directly across from it, I yanked the shade up and let the light pour in. I did the same thing to the other window, but no reaction. "Jesse!" I yelled, clapping my hands together loudly. "Time to get up!" I yelled, and I saw him slowly stir and turn over, his eyes squinting in the light.

"The light...it hurts..." he mumbled.

"Well sorry to break it to you Mr. Vampire but we have things to go, children to watch so get your lazy butt out of bed and put something decent on." I guess he didn't realize that I was standing in his room until that moment.

"What the hell?" he said, standing up quickly and facing me. "What the f/ck are you doing here?"

"I called you earlier, you hung up and then didn't answer. Thanks to google I found out where you lived, and the nice blonde woman downstairs let me in. Now yo uhave five minutes to get dressed before I want to see you downstairs and ready to go."

He sat down on his bed and rubbed his face. "Go to hell princess."

"Actually, I would like to go to work, and if you don't come with me I will tell Ms. Poe that you refused to comply." I waltzed out of the room and down the stairs. I heard him swear and slam the door. I met his mother at the bottom of the stairs, and she was laughing.

"I'm surprised he woke up. Then again, if I saw a pretty girl in my room, I would be surprised too."

I laughed, "well thank you. I'm going to wait in the car, if he comes down, will you tell him where I am?" she nodded, and I thanked her again. Feeling generous, I started the five minutes from the time I got into my car. I was surprised once again when I saw the front door open and Jesse walk out.

Married in High School? - Chapter Twelve

I woke up with a smile on my face the next morning. It was the best date Collin and I had shared in a long time. The sun was shining through the window, and I felt rested after an exhausting week of school. Collin had even texted me "good morning" while I was sleeping. As soon as I went downstairs however, the world wasn't as perfect as it seemed. I realized I had to go to work in an hour, and I had to call Jesse to see if he was coming. I also found my mother sitting at the kitchen island, on the phone and ferociously scribbling in a notebook. Rubbing my eyes, and patting my cheeks to try and wake up, I grabbed a coffee mug and put a cup in the Keurig. By the time I had put the cream and sugar in my coffee, my mom had slammed the phone down on the counter making me jump in surprise. "Good morning," I said quietly, blowing on my coffee.

"Oh, Olivia, good morning," my mom said, as if she hadn't seen me walk into the room. "I was just on the phone with your principal. You know if she didn't get divorced over the summer, this stupid project wouldn't even be in place."

"I didn't even know she was married," I said, surprised.

"That's the point. It says here that she got married June 23, 2011, and filed for divorce August 26, 2011, and for the reason? 'Unreconciled differences'" she slammed her hand down on the paper again. "Do you know what this means?"

"That she shouldn't have married her now ex-husband?" I said, use to my mum doing this. She went to law school, and as far as I knew she was a successful lawyer until a few years ago when she quit her job and became the head of the school board, furthering imersing herself in my life.

"Exactly! And now she wants everyone to feel her pain." She shook her head, shuffling through more papers.

"I have to go get ready," I said, as an excuse to get away before she started ranting again.

"Are you working today?" she asked me, and I nodded. Grabbing my phone from the counter, I jogged upstairs into my private bathroom. I shudderred at my racoon eyes, I had forgotten to take off my make up the night before. Grabbing the make up remover and sponge, I wiped at my eyes and dialed Jesse's number. Praying he wouldn't pick up, I was surprised when he answered.

"Hello?" he grumbled, and I looked at the clock next to me. It was 9:30, and I was annoyed that he wasn't awake yet when I told him we would be working this weekend.

"Uh, yeah, Jesse, hi....it's Olivia." I said, stuttering. "Um, I'm going to the daycare today, and I was wondering if you wanted me to pick you up on the way there?"

"What?"

"For the marriage project? You have to go to the daycare because I picked the activity?"

"Oh yeah, pick me up at noon princess."

"I can't pick you up at noon-" the connection was cut, I assumed that he had hung up. I tried calling again, but I was sent to voicemail. I sighed in frustration, grabbing my brush and yanking it through my hair. Whipping it up into a bun I threw open my closet doors looking for my work tshirt and a pair of shorts to match. Trying to think of a plan, I decided I would just drive to Jesse's and then to work. If I left now, I would have 20 minutes of driving time to Jesse's and still be early to work.

Okay so this part was split up into two chapters, I will be posting the other part in a bit!
Married in High School? - Chapter Eleven

We sat down at a table in the corner, and I looked around remembering about this night two years ago. I was so nervous to go out with Collin I had actually wrote down conversation topics on my hands. The night had went smoothly though, until Collin tried to kiss me and I squealed and ran into the door. I reminded him of this and he started cracking up. "I thought you were so weird," he laughed, tears almost coming to his eyes he was laughing so hard.

"I was sixteen! And I had never been kissed," I laughed. "I freaked out."

"Yeah, and then you walked around for a week with a bruise on your forehead," he shook his head, laughing.

"Ohmygosh that was so embarrasing. I told everyone I fell and hit my hand but I couldn't stop blushing every time I said it. You weren't so smooth about it either," I teased him.

"I was super cool," he laughed. "You just couldn't see that."

"Well all I knew was that you were super cute," I winked and he smiled at me. Our food arrived, and before I knew it we were back in the car, discussing where to go next. "Well it's only 9:30. I have until midnight."

"We could go back to my house," he suggested casually, and I agreed. It was a short ride there, and I was pretty quiet the whole entire time. "It's so warm out," I said, after getting out of the car. "Oh Collin, look!" I said, pointing towards the dark yard. Fireflies were going off everywhere. "Let's go!" I said, taking his hand in the darkness, the car lights had shut off automatically.

"Hold on," he said, disappearing into the garage, in the short time he was gone I felt so alone in the darkness, until his hand found mine again. "I wanted to get a blanket for us to sit on. You don't want that pretty dress getting dirty," I smiled, squeezing his hand. Walking back into the giant yard, he laid the blanket down and I sat down next to him.

"Ohmygosh," I whispered, leaning back. "Look at the stars."

"Why are you whispering?" he said, laughing and laying down next to me.

"I don't know," I giggled. "I always whisper when it's dark. It's so the bears can't hear us."

He snorted, "I'll protect you from the bears."

"Thanks honey," I leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"So." He said, after a few moments.

"Yes?"

He leaned over so his lips were tickling my ear. "I love you."

I giggled, "I love you too," my fingers traced the lines of his face. His jaw bone, his cheek bones, the ridge of his nose. In the dark, I couldn't see his face, but I knew exactly what it looked like. I knew his brown hair was just cut, a little too short to my liking but it was okay, his brown eyes would be fixed on me, his pink lips waiting for me...

"Will you just let me kiss you already?" he groaned, pulling my closer.

"I guess so," I whispered, closing my eyes when my lips met his.

Okay! Here's the deal lovelies. I'm feeling kinda...writing-blockish, and it's taking me forever to write even short chapters like this. So I would ask that you would all comment an idea for the story! PLEASE!

Married in High School? - Chapter Ten

From: Collin
Are you almost ready?

I smiled at my phone, and looked back up at the mirror. I twisted a curl a little bit, and took a makeup sponge and wiped under my eyes for any missing makeup. Picking my phone up again, I quickly texted him back telling him I was ready. A few months after we started dating, Collin started asking me before he left if I was ready so he didn't show up and I still needed 20 more minutes. Then he had to have awkward conversations with my parents, and it was this whole big thing. This way it was much easier, and it always put a smile on my face.

I grabbed my purse off me bed, looked into the mirror and smiled, then shut off the light and walked downstairs to see my parents in the kitchen, their heads close together in deep discussion. "Hello," I said warmly, looking at the two of them.

"Hello sweetheart," my mom said, standing straight and bringing the coffee mug she had in her hands to her lips. "What are you up to tonight?"

"Collin's taking me out to dinner," I said, looking at my nails and then back up at her. "He should be here in a few minutes." I had gotten my light brunette hair from her, but hers had grown darker over the years to cover her grays. My hazel eyes however, I had recieved from my father.

"We should have him over for dinner again soon," my dad said, which took me by surprise. He wasn't one to plan events, or really offer to spend the evening with my boyfriend. He doesn't really dislike Collin, but as the boyfriend of his only daughter, you can see why he's not too interested.

"That sounds lovely," my mom said, picking up her phone and looking through her calendar. "I have a school board meeting Friday afternoon, about that horrid marriage project," her nose wrinkled in disgust. "But we can do something saturday night. Let him know, okay?"

I nodded, seeing Collin's car lights pull into the driveway. "He's here, I'll be back later."

"12 am is curfew!" My mother called after me, and I waved, knowing what time I was supposed to be home. Collin and I would be done long before than, but I always tested the limits, showing up at 11:58, 11:59, etc. Collin was standing at the hood of his car when I shut the front door.

"Well don't you look gorgeous," he said, taking my hand and spinning me around. I giggled as the skirt of my dress billowed out.

"Why thank you," I smiled, leaning in for a kiss. "You look handsome as well," I said, pressing down the colar of his polo shirt. He took my hand and lead me to my side of the car, opening and closing the door for me. "You're so cute," I laughed, when he got into the car.

"What?" He smiled, looking at me before looking behind the car as he backed up.

"Opening the door for me," I laughed as he turned a little pink.

"You're my girlfriend, and that's what I'm going to do," he said, sticking his tongue out at me.

"That's fine," I laughed. "Where are we going?"

"Our favorite resteraunt."

"Which is...?"

"You're telling me you don't know what our favorite resteraunt it? I'm insulted," he said, teasing me.

"I really have no idea," I laughed.

"We're going to Sun-n-Surf."

"Awww!" I said, looking at him. "We're going to the place where we first went on a date! That's so awesome!"

He laughed at me, shaking his head. "I wasn't expecting quite a big response, but that's okay," he laughed again.

"Well it doesn't matter where we go, as long as I'm with you," I smiled, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek.

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the delay! Any comments? Any ideas for the story PLEASE?

Chapter Nine of Married in High School? was posted last night! Go here to read it: http://www.wittyprofiles.com/q/5905207

if you don't know, my new story Married in High School? is about Olivia Hall, a senior in high school. All she wanted to do was get good grades, get into the college of her dreams, and maybe take her relationship with her boyfriend, Collin, to the next level. But when an unexpected graduation requirement is thrown in, Olivia is in for a ride.
Married in High School? - Chapter Nine

After the meeting, I had to go to the most dreaded class- math. I don't understand why math teachers insist on teaching new material the first week of school. We should get a grace period to get back into the swing of things. I know personally, I could go for a venti mocha frappachino, I was about to fall asleep at my desk. "Ms.Hall? Do you have the answer to number 23?" Mrs. Winters asked me, and I look up at her, paniced.

Oh no, she had caught me daydreaming. "Umm..." I said, looking at the notebook in front of me, I assumed she was talking about the homework we were assigned yesterday. Of course, I had stopped at number 22, I think that's when Collin called me. I would much rather giggle on the phone with my boyfriend than do math homework.

"Ms.Hall?" Everyone turned to look at me this time. I felt my face warm, and I knew I was tomato red. I looked at my notebook again, at least I had wrote down the problem, it was an x equals equation. "X equals 1/3?" I said, making up a totally random number.

"Close, but not quite," she said, moving on to her next victim. Sighing, I sunk back into my chair and let the attention be re-focused off of me. For the rest of class I made sure to answer questions and write down notes, so I wouldn't get on Mrs.Winters' bad side so early in the year. When the bell rang, I was so happy to get out of there. "Olivia?" She said, right I was about to walk out the door. Oh no, I was going to get it now.

I walked over to her desk, where she was grading papers. "Yes, Mrs.Winters?"

"Please try to finish all your homework before class, and try to stay awake, okay? I know it's boring but if you want to graduate..." she looked up at me expectantly.

"No, I know. I was just a little busy last night. I'll make sure to finish everything in the future. And stay focused in class."

"Hmmm...that's interesting. That's the same answer Collin Harrison gave me earlier today." She smiled at me and I laughed. "Have a good rest of the day," she said, and I thanked her, and walked out of the room. I took my time walking to my last class, which was Art, and due to my actual art teacher having a baby a few weeks ago, Mr. Longos was filling in for her.

"Sorry I'm late, I was talking to a teacher," I said to him, and he nodded, accepting the excuse. He was an art student at the local university, and I guess he's undergrad was a teaching degree. He was maybe 22, and definitely was one of the bros around here. I sat down at my easel and closed my eyes, focusing on my project. It was a free for all, and at the moment I was just sketching my design out. I had one small circle in the middle, and lines coming out from there. Is it a flower? If so, what kind? A daisy, daffodil, rose, or maybe a lily? If not a flower, then is it the sun? A star? I had no idea what was. I started sketching again, small lines, thicker ones, I decided it would be a flower, but since I still didn't know how I wanted the petals, I worked on the stem and the background. I was so focused on my work, I didn't notice someone had stood behind me, watching the whole entire time.
