When Forever
Ends
2
part two
I walked outside, and went to the nearest
park, thinking about how I would re-invent myself. I was
thinking about dying my hair, getting colored contacts, and
maybe even finding a new boyfriend. Not even bothering to tell
my mother, I went to my hair salon, and told them to completely
change my hair.
"You mean, anything?" The lady, named Amanda,
said.
"Yes, anything. Color, cut, length, bangs, anything,"
I replied. She just shrugged and got to work. By the time it
was done, it was already 4 PM. I needed to get to the mall to
order my contacts. The color I picked out was a dark Caribbean
blue. They looked good with my new "red-velvet
cupcake" hair. It was still the same length, just
trimmed a little bit to look healthier. The gave me side bangs,
too. I looked different, but in a good way. The only
problem would be my mother. I drove home quickly, and walked
right in the house. Ty, Jake, Parker, and my step-dad all
stared at me, like I was crazy. I just laughed at them and
found my mother. She was in the kitchen draining a pot of
spaghetti.
"Hey, mom," I said, casually.
"Oh, hey, sweetie," she said, not even bothering to
look at me.
"Like my new look?" I asked. She turned around with a
confused look, and dropped the spaghetti all over the floor.
Her jaw dropped, her eyes widened, and her joints
tightened.
"Why?" She simply asked. I knew she wasn't mad,
but I couldn't tell if she liked it or not.
"I needed a change. You dragged me here, so the least you
can do is let me keep myself this way," I said.
"I-I guess. But, just the hair. That's all," she
stated.
"Oh, well I already ordered the contacts. . . . "
She just sighed. I took that as an agreement, and walked out of
the room, satisified. After I got my contacts, and found a
friend or two, I would go to the mall to meet guys. I was
looking forward to the start of my new
life.
