My best friend moved away after my freshman year to live with his mom a few hours away. He enlisted into the Army and we never really talked. In 8th grade he liked me but I was interested in someone else. Anyways, in May I saw him for the first time since freshman year(2 years ago). It was so nice seeing him because I missed him so much. Three weeks ago he messaged me and told me he was coming back to our town for the week. When he came to our school he went around telling everyone his story. In Afghanistan he almost was killed by a suicide bomber. That night I told him that I actually liked him freshman year and he agreed that he did as well. I haven't talked to him since tonight. His status was "truth is", so obviously I liked it. He wrote on my wall "truth is, i used to like you". Then he messaged me "and I still might". I told him that I might too. He told me he doesn't want to go back to Afghanistan. He said when he is done with his time in the army he is going to move back to my city 
just to see me.<3
