Epilogue

"Rylie, you need to go to sleep." I whispered, slowly stroking her hair.
"But mommy, Santa's coming tonight!" She shouted clapping her hands. 
"He won't come unless you get some sleep, alright baby?"
"But I didn't get to say goodnight to daddy." She pouted.
"Daddy had to take care of some things. He'll be here when you wake up, I promise." I whispered to her. I kissed her forehead and walked out of the room. 
I left her door open so there was some light coming into her room.
I walked to the kitchen and got myself a glass of water.
"What's the matter, hunny." I heard Jace ask from behind me.
I jumped and spun around to face him. 
"Holy crap you scared me." I said my hand to my heart.
"With those werewolf senses you'd think you'd be able to hear me coming!" He chuckled.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to him. I snuggled into the crook in his neck.
"How's Rylie?" He asked.
"Tomorrow's Christmas. Do you think it was easy to get her to bed?" I giggled.
"Sorry I couldn't be here." He whispered.
"It's no problem. You had some business to take care of." I replied.
He pushed me backwards and my back hit the counter.
I wrapped my legs around his waist and pulled him closer to me.
"I don't want Rylie to be an only child anymore. I want her to have a sibling." I mumbled into his chest.
"Okay. But this time I want a boy." He smirked.

"Jace hurry up!" I shouted up the stairs to him. "Everyone's going to start arriving and you're still getting ready!"
Rylie was in the living room playing with her new dolls she got for Christmas.
After Jace and I were together for about 2 years we deicded to start trying for a child.
It took a bit of time but finally here we are 5 years later with an amazing 4 year old little girl.
I wouldn't trade anything that's happened in my life. I know I've had trouble with Colton, but that doesn't matter anymore.
Jace's parents treat me like their daughter. I still miss my parents, but they've been helping me.
Especially his mom. She's been absolutely lovely. She helped me throughout the pregnancey and when Rylie was a lttle girl.
I heard a knock on the door and walked to open the door. Of course Jace would be late.
I opened it to see Cammi and her mate Jack standing there with gifts in their hands.
"Cammi! Jack! Come on in!" I said opening the door welcoming them in. "Sorry Jace's late, like usual."
"CAMMI!" Rylie shouted running for the door. Rylie jumped into Cammi's arms. Rylie absolutely adored Cammie. They were like sisters it was crazy.
Rylie was tiny for her age and had long light brown hair. She had some light freckles and green eyes, just like her dad.
I heard another knock at the door and excused myself to go answer it.
"You guys made it!" I shouted to Jace's parents.
"Of course we did!" His mother smiled.
"Jace is still upstairs getting ready. He can be such a girl sometimes." I laughed.
"Hey! I heard that!" He shouted walking down the stairs.
"C'mon guys! It's time to eat!" I shouted ushering them to the kitchen.
After everyone was settled and they were eating I decided to speak up.
"I have some news for everyone!" I said smiling. 
"What is it mommy?" Rylie asked, her mouth full of mashed potatoes.
Jace raised an eyebrow at me.
"I'm pregnant!" I shouted.
Oh my god's and congrats went around the table.
After we ate Jace came up to me when I was washing dishes.
"How come you didn't tell me sooner?" He asked grabbing a towel and drying off the dishes as I handed them to him.
"I don't know I wanted to tell everyone. I only found out yesterday. So I haven't been hiding it for long."
"Okay good." He smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too, baby." I replied kissing him.

Chapter 28

"You don't have to go to school today if you don't want to." Jace said.
The funeral yesterday went by smoothly. Thank god.
"I know, but I want to. Maybe if I keep myself busy I can keep my mind off of what's been happening lately."
"Sounds good, baby." He said kissing me on the temple. "We should get going before we're late."
I grabbed my purse and made my way out the door behind him.
We pulled up to the school and I hopped out. He came around and grabbed ahold of my hand and we walked into the school together. 
"Hey Avery!" Someone shouted from behind me,
I turned and saw the guy from the other night, Justin.
"Hey! I didn't know you went here!" I yelled back.
He came jogging up and stopped a few feet in front of us. 
"Yeah I started like last month." He replied, smiling. "I see you fixed whatever problems you had with your boy."
"Yeah." I replied, looking down. 
"You told him about us?" Jace asked. He let go of my hand and crossed his arms across his chest.
"No, well, yeah. You were being to over protective and I was mad! I needed someone to vent to!" 
"You could always talk to me! Tell me that I'm being over protective and that you need some space!" He yelled.
Some people turned in our direction.
"I try, but it's not like you listen!" I shouted back. By now the entire hallway was looking at us. "I need to go to my first block class. I'll talk to you later or at home." 
I ignored him and made my way to my class. My first day of school back and we're already fighting. How great it that. I took a couple of deep breaths to clam myself down. I don't want to be shifting in the middle of the classroom.
"Hey," Someone whispered from behind me.
I turned and saw Justin. 
"Oh hey. Sorry about Jace and I fighting." I said.
"It's no problem. Good luck with everything." He replied.
"Avery." The teacher said.
"Yes?" 
"The principal would like to see you."
"Alright.." I mumbled. That was weird? Why would the principal want to see me? I haven't done anything wrong, well, except be absent. I wouldn't be called to the principals office for that.
I got out of my seat and made my way out of the classroom. I started walking down the hallway. 
Someone grabbed my waist and pulled me into the supply closet.  I didn't have time to scream it was so fast.
"I'm sorry about earlier, baby. I hate fighting with you." Jace mumbled into my neck.
I relaxed when I heard his voice. 
"So this is the principal's office, huh?" I giggled. 
"Yes and you're in trouble." He growled playfully.

I made my way to lunch alone. Jace and I has different classes during lunch so we couldn't walk there together, but we did have the same lunch. 
Once I was in the cafeteria I made my way over to the table he was sitting at. I looked over and saw a girl standing over to him and touching his arm. 
I focused my hearing on them. 
"C'mon, baby, please. It will be quick. You're girlfriend doesn't have to know." The girl whined.
"Kara, I said no, now leave." He growled. 
I walked over to them and put my hand on Jace's shoulder. 
"Excuse me, what do you think you're doing with my boyfriend?" I spat, glaring at her.
"Nothing." She smirked. 
I squeezed onto his shoulder getting angry. 
"Avery, calm down." Jace whispered so only i could hear.
"Oh yeah, I bet nothing was happening." I spat. I could hear my pulse in my ears. My eyes are probably black.
"Actually, he just agreed to come over my house tonight." She lied. 
I jumped forward and tackled her to the ground.
"You stupid stupid little girl!" I shouted. 
"Derek! Get her out of here!" Jace shouted.  I felt myself being lifted off the girl and carried out of th school.
Derek put me on the ground. "Take deep breaths." He said. 
"Jace is going to kill me." I whispered. 
"He might be mad, but he won't kill you." He joked. 
I layed down on the grass and closed my eyes. Why did I have to insist on coming back to school?
"Avery?" Jace asked. 
I sat up and looked at him. He didn't seem mad. 
"Yeah?" I replied. 
"I'm not mad at you. When you first start out It's hard to control yourself." He said. 
"Thank you." I replied, smiling. 
"Anything for my mate." He smiled kissing me.
"I'm you're mate, forever." I whispered.
"Now let's skip the rest of the day and go out." He stated.
"Sounds perfect!" I said jumping up.

I'm so sorry it's late! Everything is starting to look up for me, but I've been so busy with school. Here it is! The last chapter! The epilouge should be up within a week! Hopefully less. Thank you guys for everything!! xox!

Chapter 27

"Oh my god! You're kidding." I shouted, laughing. 
"Nope. It really happened." He replied.
"That girl really punched you in the face?!" 
"Yep. Pretty sure she broke my nose, too." He said.
"I'm sorry, but that's to funny!"
We've been talking for about 15 mintues now. I wonder where Jace went, all well.
"I never did get your name." He said.
"It's Avery." I replied, smiling.
"I'm Justin." He said. "Can I get your number?"
"Um.." I know I shouldn't be giving him my number, but he's a really nice guy. Also he's a human! "Yeah sure."
I gave him my phone and he gave his. After I put my number in his phone I handed it back to him.
"Avery, what the he// are you doing?" I heard Jace growl.
"Talking to a friend." I replied.
"Come on. We're leaving now." He said putting his arm around my waist and pulling me to him.
"Sorry Justin. I'll see you around." I smiled waving bye to him.
The entire car ride home was silent. I can at least have friends! Jeesh.
As soon as he parked the car I jumped out and run into the house. I slammed the door to our bedroom shut.  I pulled of my heels and unzipped my dress, letting it fall to the floor. I walked to our bathroom and washed off my makeup and grabbed a towel from the shelf next to the shower and slipped of my under garments.  I started the shower and climbed in. 
With my now super hearing I heard the door to our bedroom open.
"Avery?" Jace called out.
I heard the bathroom door open and him walk him.
"Can I help you?" I asked.
"Yes, actually. I want to take a shower with you." He replied.
I didn't answer so he climbed in. 
"I'm sorry for earlier. Now that you're a werewolf I'm more protective of you. I didn't want you dancing with Cammie. I wanted you all to myself. When I saw you talking to that guy I got jealous." 
"You're my mate I would never leave you." I sighed, smiling up at him. 
He grabbed my face with his hands and kissed me on the tip of my nose.

I slipped on the only black dress I owned and fixed my hair into a pony tail.
"Are you ready to go, babe?" Jace asked from the doorway.
"I'm never going to be ready, honestly." I replied.
"I got something for you." He said. He held out a long, black, velvet box. 
I looked up at him with a smile on my face. "You didn't have to get me anything."
"I know, I wanted to."
I took it from his hand and slowly opened it. It was a silver heart necklace and had a diamond in the middle of it.
"Oh my gosh! It's gorgeous!" I gushed. 
"Here let me put it on you." 
He pushed my hair to the side and put my necklace around my neck. He easily fastened it.
I turned to face him and put my hands on eaither side of his face.
"I love it and I love you." I said and then kissed him. "Now come on we're going to be late."
The entire ride to the Colton's funeral was silent. Only a handufl of people were going.
Colton's parents, grandparents and a few of his friends. 
"If you feel your wolf taking over squeeze my hand and I'll get you out of there." Jace said once we were in the car.
The passed couple of days whenever I got mad or even sad my wolf would try and take over. It's been really hard for me. 
"Okay. Thanks babe."
Colton needs to be put to rest so I can get on with my life. I know his death wasn't my fault, but I still felt bad. He was a human being, even if he didn't act like one.

Chapter 26

"That was the cooliest thing ever!" I shouted jumping up and down like a kid
"I know, right?!" Cammi shouted back.
"I can't believe I'm an actual werewolf! Like what!" 
"We should go out!" Cammi suggested.
"Yes yes yes a million times yes! Should we invite the guys or have it be just us?" I asked her.
"We should invite the guys. Try using your mind thing with Jace and ask him." 
"Jace?" I asked.
"Baby, is that you?" I could almost here the smile in his voice.
"Yes, holy crap! This is so cool!"
"I never thought I'd see the day where I can hear my mate's voice in my head." He chuckled.
"Cammi and I want to go out tonight. Do you and some of the guys want to come?" I asked.
"Yes. There's no way I'd let you go out alone." 
"Be ready by 10 or we'll leave without you!"
I blocked him from my mind.
"He said we can! So let's get ready!" I cheered. I can't remember the last time I actully had fun.

It took us about an hour to get fully ready. I was dressed in a small, tight, black dress. It was a tank top and stopped just below my butt. I know Jace's not going to approve, but all well. I never get to go out! My hair was wavy and I had a smokey eye.
Cammi was wearing a tight red dress. It was the same length as mine, but hers had a scoop neck in the back. Her hair was straighten. We both had black pumps on.
We made our way down the stairs and into the living room. All the boys were sitting on the couch watching tv already ready. Derek, Scott, Jace and a few other guys were coming out with us.
"You guys look smokin'!" Derek shouted. 
"Thanks." We both said.
"No way. Avery you need to go change. There's no way you're going out with that dress on. It's way to short!" Jace shouted. I knew this way coming.
"I never get to go out! I'm wearing this!" I shouted back. 
"Avery." He growled. 
"Knock it off, Jace. I'm not changing. Now let's go." I said, turning around and walking for the front door. 
I didn't stop walking until I got outside and to my car.

The ride there was filled with mindless chatter and we arrived there in about a half an hour.
"I want to get drinks before I dance!" I shouted to Jace as we walked into the club. 
"Okay!" He shouted back. 
We walked up to the bar and I ordered a vodka redbull.
I chugged the first one down no problem. Since werewolves can burn off alcohol faster than humans.
After my next couple of drinks I was ready to dance.
"C'mon babe let's go dance!" I shouted grabbing his hand and pulling him to the dance floor.
I grinded my butt against his manhood. Causing him to groan and pull me impossibly close to him. We continued dancing for about an hour. All the while we kept getting drinks. I was finally starting to feel tipsy.
"Cammi!" I shouted over to her. She was dancing with her mate.
"Yeah, babe?" She shouted back.
"Come dance with me!" I yelled over the music. I took a couple steps towards her.
Jace wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him.
"Let me go." I huffed shoving him off me.  "I need some space." 
I ignored him and walked to the bar.  I ordered some shots and sat down.
"Bad break up?" Someone asked me.
I turned and saw a very handsome guy. He was a little older than me and had black hair. It shorter on the sides and longer on top. His green eyes were piercing and he had a very prominate jaw line. If I wasn't with Jace I would definitely go for him
"Just guy trouble." I mumbled smirking.
"You're to pretty to be having guy trouble." He replied, moving a seat closer to me. Now he was only a seat away from me. 
"Why are you here, alone, at a club? Did you have a bad break up?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nope. Just out having fun with a couple of guy friends. Saw a lonely pretty girl at the bar and had to come make sure she was alright." 
"I'm alright. Want a shot?" I asked, smiling. 
I know I was being dangerous and Jace could come over here and kill him. But I wanted someone knew to talk to.

I'm soooo so so crazy sorry!!! School starts in less than one week and I'm trying to get organized. I also have something personal going on in my life making it even harder for me to write. I had to force myself to write so I could finish this chapter for you guys! This story is ending in about 3-4 chapters! xoxo!

Chapter 25

I sat down at the table shoving the french toast I made earlier into my mouth. 
"Hungry?" Derek said walking into the kitchen.
"Starving." I said with a mouth full of food.
I shoved that last bite into my mouth and then put my plate in the sink. 
"Why do I feel like so hot?"
"Werewolf body temperature is hotter than humans." He shrugged.
"Which means you'll be turning soon." Jace said walking into the kitchen.
"Soon?" I asked. "How soon?" 
"Sometime today or tomorrow." He replied. 
I walked up to Jace and wrapped my arms around him, breathing in his sent. I can't believe I let Colton take me.
"Oh Avery, the cops told me you could have this back." Derek said, pulling something out and tossing it to me.
I caught it in my hands. It was my pocket knife.
"Where did you get this?" I asked, confused.
"The cops picked it up from the place Colton held you captive at." He said.
"My knife." I breathed out running my fingers along the blade. "I remember!" 
"What? What happened?" Jace asked.
"I didn't bring a weapon to school with me like I planned, but I did have this pocket knife. I shoved it into the back of my pants before Colton got me so I would have some type of weapon. He choloformed me and I woke up tied to some chair!" Jace growled at that, but I kept going.
I quickly explianed to him what happened.
"I remember getting the gun back from him and shooting him before running out of there. I just can't remember if I got him or not." I said with a sigh.
"Avery.." Jace cautiously said.
"What? What is it? Is he still out there?" I asked nervously.
"Not exactly." He said. 
"He's in jail isn't he? I want to go visit him. I want to finally rub it in that he can't control me anymore" I stated.
"He's not in jail. When you shot him.. You.." Jace stuttered.
"I what!" I shouted. Why can't he tell me? I shot him.. so what?
"He's dead.." He whispered.
"I can't.. I couldn't have done that.." Did I really hit him when I shot him? I didn't think I did..  Derek and Jace stayed quiet. I took a couple steps away from Jace. He's lying.. That can't be true. I couldn't have killed him.
"You're lying to me." 
"You're my matey. I wouldn't lie to you!" He shouted.
"I know Colton abused me, but that doesn't mean I didn't love him and care about him!" I shouted back at him. 
I was getting angry. I fell in love with him before the abusing happened. I just can't fall out of love with him! I tried taking a deep breath, but it didn't work. All I could hear was my heartbeat in my ears and my racing pulse.
"Avery, you need to calm down." I heard Jace say. 
I tried taking another deep breath, but I wasn't calming down.
"I can't." I whispered. I felt a wave of pain shoot through my body. I let out a whimper.
"She's changing into her wolf!" Jace shouted.
"We have to get her outside!" Derek said.
"Don't touch me!" I yelled. It felt like my skin was on fire.
"We need to get you outside, baby." Jace whispered to me. 
I nodded my head and let him pull me outside.
"It's going to hurt really bad for about a second. But after that you'll be fine." He encouraged me.
I took several steps away from him. I felt something in me begin to surface.  After a second of pain I felt my myself change.
I looked around and saw Derek and Jace staring at me with smiles on their face. I looked down and saw two paws on the ground.
I'm a wolf! Oh my god..

Chapter 24

Jace had his arm around my shoulders because the cut on my side prevented him from putting his arm around my waist.
I slowly made my way up the steps to the pack house. When we walked through the front door I saw that the living room was filled with members of the pack.
"Hi guys." I weakly said.
Everyone said hello and asked how I was.
I was about to answer when I suddenly I started feeling really weak.
"Jace," I whispered. "I don't feel right."
He picked me up bridal style and carried me to the couch and layed me down.
"Somebody get the doctor here right now!" Jace shouted in his alpha tone. I felt myself getting turned on. He sounded so hot using his alpha tone. Most of the guys turned to look at me.
"Knock it off guys!" He growled. "You're in heat Avery so try not to get excited." 
I giggled at his choice of words. He buried his face in my neck.
"Avery?" The doctor asked walking into the room.
"Right here." Jace said lifting his head.
"Bring her to my office. She should be in the hospital, Jace. Not here. She got shot yesterday!" The dotor said angrily.
Jace picked me up and followed the doctor to his office.
"She can't be in a hospital! She belongs here! She's not fully human anymore!" Jace shouted.
Once we were in his office Jace layed me down on the bed.
"You're going to feel a small pinch in your arm. I'm just putting an iv in your arm. I don't want you to dehydrate." He said.
After he checked me out he said I needed to rest and that everything was healing perfectly.

2 weeks later

I healed perfectly. Thank god. Without my werewolf gene I probably would have been seriously hurt and in a coma right now.
"Breakfast is ready!" I shouted so everyone could hear me. Everyone came running in the room. 
"Woah boys! There's enough food for everyone!" I giggled.
"Mmmm, baby. The food looks delicious." Jace whispered wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. 
"Yeah thanks Luna!" Scott shouted.
I turned around so I was flush with Jace. "I have a surprise for you."  I whispered my lips almost touching his. I spun around and winked at him. He slapped me in the butt causing me to shriek and everyone to look in our direction. He smirked arrogantly and I looked down, embarassed.
"Get a room." Cammie shouted.
"Oh we are." Jace smirked picking me up and tossing me over his shoulder. Everyone burst out laughing.
He put me on my feet once we were in our room and kicked the door closed behind us.
He spun us around and slammed me up against the door. It hurt but it was oddly arousing.
I wrapped my legs around his waist. I wasted no time and slammed my mouth to his, kissing him roughly.
He kissed me down my neck, gently nipping and biting. I let out a moan.
He walked us backwards and we fell onto the bed. I wanted to feel his skin against mine and these clothes were in the way. 
He was wearing a button down shirt so I quickly undid the first button. My hands were shaking so I couldn't get the second one undone so I ripped his shirt off. The buttons flew off and scattered around the room. 
He growled. "D.amn kitten that was sexy."
He wasted no time pulling my shirt over my head.
"Mmmm you're so beautiful and all mine." 
He quickly flipped us around so that he was on top, and grabbed my shorts and pulled them off.
I reached up and kissed him roughly. My hands went down to the buttons on his jeans and quickly un buttoned them.
Once the rest of our clothes were gone he positioned himself at my entrance.
"Are you sure you're ready, baby?" He asked.
"Yes."
No turning back now. I can't wait to kick Jace's @ss now that I'm going to be a werewolf!

Chapter 23

Jace's Point of View

"Avery!" I shouted running over to her body that was curled up in some man's arms.
I had to stop myself from growling at the sight. I kneeled beside her. Oh god. There was blood everywhere.
"Baby, it's going to be alright." I soothed to her.
"The ambulance is on the way." They guy said.   
"What happened?" I asked him.
"I don't know. She just came running down those appartment steps screaming "Someone help me" I caught her in my arms before she passed out. The ambulance should be here any minute." 
"Thanks.." I started.
"Johnny." The guy said.
"Thanks Johnny." I repeated.
Just then Cammie and Derek came running through crowd.
"Oh my god, Avery!" She shouted stopping a couple feet in front of us. Tears were pouring down her face. Derek just stood their frozen.
The ambulance pulled up about a minute later. They quickly got her on a stretcher and put her into the ambulance.
I climbed in with them and just stared at Avery. Her body looked so weak and fragile.
They were working quickly on her body. Why did I let her go to school today?

Avery's Point of View

"Jace?" I asked looking around the room. "Where's Jace?" 
"Right here, baby." He said from the chair beside my bed. He looked like a mess.
"Why am I here? What happened?" I asked panicking.
"You don't remember what happened?" The doctor asked writing stuff down on his clipboard.
"I remember fighting with Jace about going to school. I remember talking with Scott at lunch, but after that.. I.. I just don't remember." 
"Sometimes the brain does it to protect itself. You might remember what happened and you might not. All we know is that you were found stumbling out of a random appartment with a bullet shot wound in you shoulder and slash in your side. You also had some major and minor bruising." The doctor said. "Excuse me there's an emergency." 
"I got shot?" I asked Jace.
"Yeah." He replied. "But the woud is healing quickly so you need to sign youself out so they don't suspect you of anything."
"Crap I forgot about that." I said with a sigh.
"When you feel up to it we'll leave okay?" He said.
"Yeah, sure. Why am I not feeling pain?" I asked him.
"Because I'm making you feel what I feel. I'm sort of pushing it on you so you don't feel the pain. And also they have a lot of pain medicine in you." He stated.
"Something really bad happened to me didn't it?" I asked him, looking down at my hands in my lap.
"Yeah. but c'mon we'll talk about it when you're home." He said standing up from his seat.
"Wait. I remember. A man. There was a man after me." I whispered remembering I was fighting for my life against some guy that I can't remember.
After I got dressed, with difficulty, I was ready to go. I refused Jace's help. I don't need help getting dressed.
Jace lead the way out of the room and I was a few steps behind him.
Once I was in the hallway and saw the commotion I got nervous. Anyone of those guys could have hurt me. I grabbed onto Jace's arm with a death grip. He spun around so fast it almost gave my whiplash. 
"What's wrong?"
"Anyone of these guys could've hurt me." I whispered.
"None of these guys hurt you." Jace said seriously.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Because I know who hurt you. I'll explain in the car, okay?" He said. How could he possibly know who took me? I mean the last thing I remember is being at school and he wasn't even at school.
"I would like to sign myself out." I said to the receptionist.
"That's not a good idea. You have serious injuries, miss." She replied looking at the computer.
"I feel more comfortable at home. Can I please see the sign out sheet?" 
She mumbled something under her breath before she pulled out a form.
I quickly signed it and handed it back to her. I didn't let go of Jace's hand all the way out to the car.
"Do you want to talk about what happened?" He asked lightly on our way home.
"Sure." I replied. 
"That guy who took you was your ex boyfriend Colton. I shouldn't have let you go to school alone and unprotected. He showed up at your school and took you. Scott said you whispered Coltons name than got up and left the lunch room. You were gone to fast and he couldn't really follow your sent."
"Oh." I whispered. I guess in the back of my mind I kind of figured it was him I just didn't want to admit it to myself. "Do you know what happened to me when I was there?" 
"No. I got there when you were in some guys arms passed out." He replied. "He stayed with you until the ambulance came. He was a really nice guy."
"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when you're at the house." I mumbled closing my eyes.

I'm Your Mate
Chapter 22

"I hate you!" I spat at Colton.
"So you've told me, baby."
I groaned. It feels like I've been down here for hours. He's been constantly hitting me. My left eye is a little swollen and it's black and blue. There's dried blood going down my face. My arms have scattered bruises on them, too.
"Where are we?" I asked trying to stall him from hitting me anymore. I know I heal fast, but it still hurt.
"In a friends place. He's gone for the week and said I could crash here." He replied.
He leaned forward and grabbed my arm tightly. "Why are the bruises dissapearing? They usually last for a while." He growled.
"I heal fast." I replied shrugging.
"You didn't used to." He said raising an eyebrow.
"I guess leaving you has its perks." I spat smiling.
"You stupid little girl." He said punching me in the face, again.
He walked out of the room and up the stairs. I guess I really p!ssed him off. Now how the heck am I going to get out of here?
I tried moving my arms but they wouldn't move. God he was good. I tried moving around in the chair to get it to tip over, but it didn't move. I felt something press into my back. My knife! How am I going to get it? I have the prefect plan.
A little while later I heard Colton come down the stairs.
"Hey cutie where ya been?" I asked smiling.
"Had to take care of something." He replied smriking at me.
"Do you think I could use the ladies room?" I asked politely.
"No." He spat at me.
"But I'm having womenly problems. Don't want me to bleed all over the seat do you?" I asked.
"Fine. But if you try anything I'll shot you." He said pulling out a small gun. 
He untied my wrist and aimed the gun at me.  He pushed me in front of him. 
"To bad I don't know where the bathroom it." I said sarcastically.
"Shut up." He spat. I smiled on the inside knowing that I made him mad.
I turned around to face him. "Can you show me...please?"
He eyed me suspiciously. I took that chance to kick the gun out of his hand. He didn't have a good grip on it so it flew across the large room.
I dove for it and grabbed it. I went to get up but Colton grabbed my leg.
"Give me the gun you b.itch" He shouted pulling me towards him.
"Not a chance in he//!" I shouted back at him.
I pulled my leg out of his grip and kicked him in the face.
I got up and pointed the gun at him. He didn't notice because he was to busy holding his nose and trying to get the blood to stop pouring out of it,
I quickly looked around the room for some chloroform or something. I found some to my left about a 50 feet or so from me.
I side stepped to my left so I was closer. He looked up at me with an evil smirk on his face. 
"What are you going to do shot me, babe?" He sarcastically asked.
"Not if you don't want me to, babe." I replied.
"I bet you couldn't." He smirked.
"Want to bet?" I said, seriously.
I turned the safety off and aimed the gun at his head. I loaded it and smirked at him.
"5..4..3..." I said counting down. "Now's your chance to back down."
He didn't say anything he just kept staring.  I put my finger on the trigger and aimed it.
I pulled the trigger and shot him. The loud gun shot echoed around us.

"Wakey, Wakey," I said to Colton. 
"What the he//! You shot me!" He screamed.
"You told me too." I replied smirking.
"You shot me in the leg!" He screamed. "I can't believe you did that!" 
I aimed for his leg at the last second. I couldn't kill him now. I need to torture him a little. He needs to have a taste of what I've been through.
I also used the cholorformed him and tied him to the chair he had me tied to.
"I'm a tad bit hungry I think I'm going to make myself some food. I'll be back later." I smirked.
After I made myself some food I made my way back down the stairs. 
"Did ya miss me?" I asked shoving a piece of bacon in my mouth. I was starving so I made myself some french toast and bacon boy was it good. 
I tortured him for a few hours before I decided I should leave. I miss Jace more than anything right now and my body is hurting me extremely bad.
"Should I kill you.." I asked myself out loud.
"No no no.. Please Avery. Don't do this." He begged me. Funny how just a short while ago I was begging him to stop.
"I don't think you tied the ropes tight enough sweatheart."  He smirked. I looked down and saw the ropes on the ground. 
I was to distracted staring at the ropes on the ground I didn't see him jump for me. I let out a yelp as soon has his body made contact with me. The gun I had in my hands fell to the ground somewhere. 
We both hit the cement floor with a loud thud. I picked up my head so it wouldn't smash the cement. I shoved him off of me.
"Get off me you fat f***!" I screamed at him.
"Shut up!" He screamed at me. I looked up and saw he had the gun pointed at me. I'm dead. He's going to kill me.
"This is for shooting me in the shoulder." He said and loaded the gun.
I closed my eyes and waited for the shot. I heard it echo around us and felt intense pain in my shoulder.
"Ughhh" I groaned. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.
If I jumped on him I could easily get the gun, but he could shot me and I could die.
I'll take the chance. I jumped forward crashing into him and knocking the gun out of his hands. I quickly grabbed it and stood up. I swayed slightly and my vision was getting blurry. I ran for the stairs. As soon as I got to them I felt him pull me by my hair.
I shrieked out and stumbled backwards. I felt more pain in my side, but I didn't pay attention to it. I loaded the gun and turned around to shoot him. I did it so quickly I don't even know if I hit him. I turned around and ran up the stairs.
I made my way out the front door of the appartment. Wait he said we were in a house?
"Somebody help me!" I screamed stumbling down the stairs to the appartment. 
"Call 911!" Someone close to me shouted. I couldn't see clearly anymore.
"I got you miss." Another person said taking me into their arms.
As soon as I was in their arms I passed out.

Chapter 21

"I said I love you." I said seriously. 
"You better not be lying Avery because I swear to god.." He said.
"Usually when someone says I love you, the other person says it back." I joked. He was making me nervous. What if he doesn't love me? Well, he is my mate. That means he must love me too, right?
"Of course I love you!" He said. A smile spread across my lips.
Once we were back into town he pulled into a parking lot and stopped the car.
"What are you doing?" I asked, confused.
"Come for a walk with me." He said.
I changed out of my heels and put on a pair of flip flops I had in his car.
Once we were out of the car he pulled me into his side and put his arm around my shoulders. I put my arm around his torso.  We began walking threw the streets of downtown. The fair was still going on so there were a bunch of people around.
He began rubbing my arm up and down. I suddenly got turned on. I noticed a few people began looking in my direction.
"We need to go." He snapped. He pulled me in the direction of the car.
I didn't protest all the way to the car. I didn't want to cause a seen in front of everyone.
Once we got there he pushed me up against the car.
"What the heck was that?" I asked, confused.
"You're in heat, babe." He said.
"I- What? Is that why I got turned on so easily?" I asked.
"Yeah. You smell so good." He moaned nuzzling into my neck. When he leaned back I wrapped my arms around his neck. I leaned up and pressed my lips to his. He immediately began kissing me back. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him waist. His now hard member was pressing against core causing me to moan. He kissed down my neck to the spot where he marked me and sunk his teeth in again. It didn't hurt this time. I moaned because it actually felt amazingly good. He pulled back breathing heavy.
"Now you're heat will come faster." He said smirking. "Now let's get you home."

"I"m going to school!" I yelled at Jace.
"No you're not. You're fully in heat now! All the unmated males will be attracted to you!" He shouted back.
"I've missed the last 2 weeks! I'm going!" I shouted.
"I can't go to school because I have pack business to take care of today and since I can't go there's no way you're going." He said, trying to calm himself down. I could see that he was fighting with his wolf about control. 
"I'm going!" I shouted, stomping out of the room and down the stairs. I felt like absolute crap, but I can't miss anymore school. If I miss to much school they won't let me go to the next grade and I've been waiting forever to actually be a senior.
I pulled up the hood of my hoodie. My hair was lifeless. It didn't have any body to it. I was really pale and weak. 
I walked into the kitchen and went to the fridge. I got Jace's orange juice and took a sip of it. 
"You look awful." Cami said to me.
"Gee thanks." I replied.
"Avery Grace!" Jace growled from the doorway. I rolled my eyes and walked around him. He needs to calm the f*** down. I mean seriously. It's not like I'm going to the mall by myself. I'm going to school! He can have someone protect me. As long as I get to go to school. I grabbed my bad and walked out the door to my car. I wonder why he's not following me.
My body began aching. Ugh. Seriously?!
I opened the door and got in. I put the key in and prayed that it worked. I haven't driven since before I met Jace. Which was over 2 months ago. I turned the key and it started up. I turned up the radio and drove to school.
Everyone turned to look at me as I began walking into the school. 
My body was aching so badly right now. All I wanted to do was snuggle up with Jace and watch a movie. 
The beginning of the school day went by fast and now it was lunch time. 
I walked into the cafeteria and saw Scott sitting at our usual table. I made my way over there. I dropped my bag onto the table and sat down.
"Avery? What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Going to school?" I replied rasing my eyebrow. 
"I heard you and Jace screaming at each other this morning about you coming." He said smiling.
"Of course." I replied playfully rolling my eyes. "But I obviously wont that argument."
I looked out the cafeteria door and into the main hallway.
I saw Colton standing there smirking at me. My blood ran cold and I had the sudden urge to throw up. I moved my bag from the table to the seat next to me. I forgot to put a weapon on my today! I slowly took the small pocket knife out of my bag and slipped it into the back of my jeans. 
"What's wrong? You look like you've just seen a ghost." He joked. Do I tell him? Or do I go over there and take of this myself?
I put my hand over my mouth and whispered Colton's name, but so quiet only a werewolf can hear. Also know as Scott.
I looked up at me shocked and mouthed "Where?" 
"Hallway." I whispered back. "If I don't come back. Call Jace and come looking for me okay." 
I got up and made my way to where he was standing. When I get close enough I can stab him. Just like he stabbed me. 
I stopped when I was about 10 feet away.
"What's the matter? Why won't you come closer?" He asked, looking hurt.
"You. You're psycho." I spat.
"Why don't you come with me, princess?" 
"No thanks." I replied, smirking. 
"You don't have a choice." He replied. He pulled back his jacket to show he had a gun in the waist of his pants.
Crap. I should have thought this through before I walked over to see him! He roughly grabbed my arm and put the gun to my side. I took a few deep breaths trying to calm myself. If you panic then you end up not thinking straight.
Once we got to his car he shoved me and walked around to the drivers side. 
"Sorry, babe." He said than put a cloth to my face. 
That motherf**ker cholorformed me!

When they opened my eyes it was pretty light in here so I had to adjusted to it. I was definetly in a basement.
I tried moving but couldn't.  I looked down and saw that I was tied to a chair.
This situation was seriously p!ssing me off. 
I really hope Jace is on his way. 
"How was your nap babe?" Colton asked standing across from me. 
I groaned, annoyed with him.  I'm not afraid of him anymore. Now that I know how to protect myself and that I have Jace.
"Since it was a forced nap it was just faantastic!" I shouted sarcastically. 
He pulled back and slapped me across the face. I grinded my teeth to stop from swearing in pain.
"Is that the worse you can do?" I spat at him.
"This is just the beginning, babe." He smirked.

I'm Your Mate
Chapter 20

"Try leaning into the punch, alright?" Jace suggested.
I got in my stance and punched the punching bag in front on me, leaning into the punch as Jace told me.
"Better." He said.
"Break time!" I cheered. I was beyond tired we've been practicing for a couple hours now. I can feel my body getting weaker, which means I'll be going into heat soon.
I grabbed my water bottle and chugged the rest of it, feeling a little better.
"Why don't we go out?" Jace asked as we were walking out of the gym.
"Like out? You mean I get to leave the house?" I gasped.
"Only because you'll be with me." He replied smiking.
"I need to go get ready!" I shouted turning to go upstairs. I turned back and gave him a quick kiss before going upstairs.
I ran up the stairs and to our room. After my parents passed away we went to my house to get all my stuff that was there. I had my own walk in closet now! I searched through my clothes until I found the perfect outfit. (link below)
I layed in on the bed and hopped in the shower. Once I was out I blow dryed my hair and left it wavy.
Now time for makeup. I swipped on some mascara and blush. After that I pulled on my outfit and slipped on some black pumps. It's been a while since I've worn these babies.
I grabbed my clutch and put my phone, lip gloss, and some money in it then made my way downstairs.
"Daang baby girl!" Cami shouted as I walked into the kitchen. "What's the occasion?" 
"Jace's taking me out!" I cheered.
"Like it went so well last time." Derek snorted. I didn't even know he was in here.
"Shut up." I snapped rolling my eyes. I honestly don't want to deal with him anymore. He was only trying to get between Jace and I from the beginning. 
"Hi guys." A girl said walking into the kitchen. 
"Hi Carly!" Cami and Derek said.
I turned and grabbed the orange juice out of the fridge. I twisted off the cap and took a big gulp.
"Alpha Jace isn't going to be happy. You're drinking his orange juice." The girl cautiously said.
She must not know who I am.
"I don't think he'll mind." I replied smirking. Cami and Derek burst out laughing from their seats at the table.
I put the cover back on and put it back in the fridge. 
"Soo who are you?" I asked narrowing my eyebrows. I wanted to tease her a little bit.
"Carly. I'm new to the pack." She stated.
"Have you guy seen my keys?" Jace asked walking into the kitchen.
"No." Cami, Derek, and I replied at the same time. He groaned then walked to the fridge and pulled out the orange juice.
"Alright who the f*** drank my orange juice?" He growled.
"She did, alpha." Carly said pointing at me.
I let out a hoot of laughter. Of course she would squeal on me. Jace took a couple of steps in my direction with an evil smirk on his face. I tried taking a step backwards but my back hit the counter.
"Avery would never do that would she?" He grinned. He put his arms on either side of me, trapping me.
"Me?" I fake gasped. "Defy you? Never."
His face was a few inches away from mine. I could feel his warm breath on my lips. His body wasn't touching me, but it was extremly close to mine. I pressed my body against his causing him to let out a moan. I stood on my tip toes and gently gripped his ear with my teeth. He let out a sharp breath. I gently pulled on it.
I leaned back and shoved him off of me with a smirk on my face. He stumbled a little bit, but caught his balance.
"What the he// was that for?" He shouted.
"How come you didn't tell her who I am?" I asked.
"I haven't had the chance! You know the huge thing that just happened? I didn't leave your side!" He growled.
"Oh," I mumbled, feeling bad. "I'm sorry. When she didn't know who I was I got mad."
"What do you mean he didn't tell me who you are?" Carly asked, confused.
"I'm going to be your luna soon." I replied smiling. Her mouth dropped open and her eyes got wide. "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I didn't know and I was so rude! Gosh I am so sorry!" 
"Don't worry about it." I said smiling. "You didn't know."
"You're buying me new orange juice." Jace mumbled.
"Can we leave now?" I asked.
"Yeah once I find my keys." He replied.
"They're on your night stand, babe." I smirked and went into the fridge and pulled out his orange juice. I opened it up and took a big drink. He ripped it out of my hands when I was in the middle of drinking it.
"What the he//!" I yelled at him. 
"No one drinks my orange juice except for me." He said.
"And me. Bye guys. I'll see you later!" I shouted to them walking out of the kitchen.
Jace went upstairs to grab his eyes and I went outside to wait for him. It was chilly out, but I didn't mind. I haven't been outside in forever.
He took me to a nice resturant. We ate and made small chat throughout the meal. 
"Bite?" I asked holding out the spoon to him. We were sharing dessert. It was a brownie with ice cream, hot fudge, and whip cream.
He opened his mouth and I fed him the bite.
"I never thought I'd let a girl feed me." He mumbled scowling.
I smirked and took a bite of my own. 
"Looks like the big bad Jace has changed." 
"Only for you." He said. "Oh god. That was way to cheesy."
"No it was cute. I loved it." I said smiling. "And I love you."
"You what?" He asked shocked.
Well that's not the reaction I wanted.
