Just wanted to comment saying tea nearly came out my nose as I was reading your profile I was so excited haha. Anyways, that happened because I saw that you were an atheist (as am I). Then, immediately after that, I see the "Support Our Troops" with the yellow ribbon (I'm in the U,S, Army). AND THEN I couldn't help but notice that you're in Germany (AS AM I!!!). Haha I just found it very cool. Anyways, I'm new here, sorry. But thanks for loving science! ;D

Oh, jeez! I don't think I could live that close without over thinking things. The whole day when I was out and about all I thought was "That guy/lady could be a killer, and could be plotting to shoot me right now." It's really creepy to think about that. I was watching the news and they mentioned how the family kept to themselves but were in general very nice. It's weird to think anyone could be a murderer that's right under your very nose.

How was your eye surgery? :3 I wish I could see the before/after. Anyway, back to religion. People want to be saved to go to Heaven, and to be themselves is to be sent to Hell. The idea of a God is basically sending fear into the minds of unrealistic people. People are always saying, "Well, if there is no God, explain evolution." and all I can really reply to that question is science. Believers will continue arguing, but there really isn't a better answer (unless I am just too little-educated on the subject). That quote about literary entertainment is so true. You're so right about that, religious people can be so ignorant to reality. Sure, your God is a great personal source for venting on your bed side when you're too cowardly to deal with your problems by yourself, but are you honestly too blind to see the damage that entity has let happen, if it were to be real? The deaths, unjustified lawsuits, rapes, you name it, he let it all happen. Just look at the Casey Anthony case, surely if your all-powerful God had the power to stop it from happening or at least give justice a purpose, he would? No. It looks like this marvelous being isn't so marvelous after all.

Science has actually made significant impacts on our world and the human condition, this illusion has done nothing but torture those who are too blind to see past fairy tales. When the religious community hears of an Atheist living in their street, all verbal hell breaks loose. "God damns you to hell!" "You will be burned in hell!" "Hell, hell, hell, blah blah blah!" Oh, get over yourselves. When people die, their bodies rot in the soil that pours into their coffins. There is no spiritual awakening, no afterlife and no recreation into animals. That is bull sh-t.

Also, funny how you say "I miss Witty from 2008." because today I saw the most ridiculous, useless, waste of space quote on Top Quotes today. One word, "stay". That's all it said. It has almost 200 favorites and I find that kind of disturbing. I imagine Witty from back then to have quotes that actually had a purpose. Sorry I'm rambling, but that quote really irritated me today.
