--->There was a boy who was always made fun of and had no friends. One day, he was walking home when someone pushed him and knocked his books over. He fell to the ground, embarrassed as he scrambled to pick them all up. Out of nowhere, a jock, the popular guy at school, came up to him and offered him a hand. The boy was hesitant to take it, but he eventually did. The popular boy helped him gather his books, and they walked home together.

--> The nerdy boy and popular boy grew to become best friends. The nerdy boy became popular, and years later, as valedictorian, he stood up to give a speech.
'A few years ago, I was the unpopular nerd who everyone picked on. I hated my life, and I'd go home and cry everyday. But one day, someone changed my life. After one of my more horrible days, another boy came up to me. At first I thought he was going to bully me like all the others, but instead, he talked to me. He helped me up after a mortifying fall, and we walked home together. Although no one knew it, that day I was planning to commit suicide. I was going to walk home and hang myself, but this student changed my life. '

--> Everyone gasped with shivers down their back, but the main focus was on the valedictorians parents, who both with tears their eyes, turned to the popular boy with admiration and gratitude. 
--> This only goes to show that one person can make a difference. It takes one person to turn the world around for someone. So make a difference, be the one to stand up for someone else, and change someone's life.

My dad used to tell me this story all the time. It's a true story, and I never got it when I was little, but now I really understand it. I ask my dad to tell me the story all the time because he just says it with such emotion that it sends shivers down my back every time. I tried to express the story in the same way he did, but it's kinda hard to put emotion into words on paper or in a quote. lol, sorry. But I hope it inspired at least one person :) Thanks for reading.
