It
was night time when Kaitlyn and Mark started getting ready for
bed. When they were both in bed Kaitlyn looked at Mark and said
"Mark, what do you think people will say in school about us
being engaged?" Mark looked into her eyes and said
"they'd be jealous because they don't know what
love like ours is like" Kaitlyn looked right back into his
eyes and said "How much do you love me?" Mark smiled,
moved closer to her and whispered in her
ear, "Let's just say this, we're 16, I asked
you to marry me, you said yes, and now I'm the happiest guy
in the world." Kaitlyn smiled. When she closed her eyes Mark
wrapped his arms around her and held her tight in his arms. When
Kaitlyn woke up Mark wasn't there anymore. She looked around
and said "Mark?" He jumped up at her from the floor and
screamed "KAITLYN!" Kaitlyn jumped out of bed and
started laughing, Mark smiled and said "Let's go
downstairs, your dad said he was making something special for
breakfast.
When Kaitlyn got home her dad looked at her and said "well....?" Kaitlyn just smiled and reached out her hand her dad looked at the ring and hugged Kaitlyn. Kaitlyns dad let go of her and said "My little is growing up, but you have to promise me one thing Kaitlyn" Kaitlyn just said "okay, what is it?" Her dad looked at her seriously for a minute and then finally said "I can't be a pap till your out of college and you have a job" Kaitlyn said "okay dad, I promise" "good" her father said. Kaitlyn ran up the steps to her room, she looked in the mirror, breathed in and smiled. She decided she was really tired from all of the excitement. She took a shower, got in her pajamas and went to sleep. When it was morning time, she woke up, went downstairs and she saw mark standing there. Kaitlyns dad was talking to him. Kaitlyn smiled and said "Mark, why you here?" Mark smiled and said "you want me to leave?" Kaitlyn ran over to him and said "no" giving him a hug. Kaitlyns dad smiled and said "Kaitlyn, if your mother was here to see how happy you were right now, she'd be in tears of joy. Thank-you mark for being so good to her." Mark smiled and said "Your welcome sir." Then Mark turned to Kaitlyn and said "well, your dad called me over here because he thinks it'd be a good idea for us to be together all the time now to see what it's like to be married. So I'm going to be living here for awhile with you and your dad. Your dad talked to my parents and they said it was a great idea as well." "OKAY!" Kaitlyn said with a huge smile on her face. Mark said "I'm going to go get my stuff out of the car" Kaitlyns dad looked at Kaitlyn and said "Kailtyn, go eat breakfast and get dressed. Mark, I'll help you" "thank you sir" Mark said. Kaitlyn ate some cereal and then got dressed. When she was done Mark was sitting at the table waiting for her. When she got downstairs Mark said "Your dad told me to make sure that his would be okay with you, your dad said we should sleep together at night to see what its like. If your okay with that" Kaitlyn said "Okay" "Kaitlyn, your dad told me about that promise you made to him last night, I also just want you to know that I never pushed you to do anything before, and I'm okay with it." Mark said. Kaitlyn smiled and said "Where are you putting your stuff?" "Your dad told me I should put it in your room, he said you an extra dresser" "Oh yeah! I'll help you carry it upstairs" "Okay" Mark said smiling. When Kaitlyn was walking up the steps She thought about how lucky she is to have a wonderful dad and boyfriend.
Kaitlyn sat in her room for nearly 2 hours trying to find the perfect outfit for her date with her boyfriend. She found it an hour later, a green and blue tie-died shirt with a jean skirt and her flip-flops. She put on her make-up and jewelry. Then the doorbell rang, Kailtyn's father answered the door. "hello sir" mark, her boyfriend said. Kailtyn looked over the stairs railing, she could see her father lecturing mark. Then she heard mark say "yes sir" and she decided it was time for her to go down. Mark looked up at her and said "you look beautiful" he kissed her forehead as he said that. Kaitlyn looked at her father and said "dad were going to go now" Her father said "Okay sweetie, you two be careful. Mark, remember what I told you." Mark nodded. Mark and Kaitlyn walked to the car, he opened Kaitlyns door for her then shut it when she got in. After Mark got in Kaitlyn said "Where we going to eat?" Mark looked at her with her brown eyes shining, he smiled and said "I have reservations, it's a surprise" Kaitlyn smiled. She loved Mark, he never pushed her to far or made her do things she didn't want to do. He was good for her. They got to this place called Viniata'. Kaitlyn stared at Mark, Mark laughed and said "what? I told you tonight would be special" Kailtyn had nothing to say. Mark opened her door for her. They walked in. When they got their table and meals, Mark looked into Kailtyns eyes and said "Kaitlyn, I love you so much and I know were only 16.... but, I want to spend my life with you." Mark reached into his pants pocket and said "Kailtyn Marie, will you marry me?" Kaitlyn was in such shock. Then she smiled and said "YES! Of course I will marry you!" She hugged him and he kissed her. Kaitlyn couldn't stop smiling and she said "We need to tell my dad were getting married." Mark smiled and said "I asked him for permission to ask you, I also talked to my parents. They really like you Kaitlyn" Kaitlyn stared into his eyes and said "How did I get so lucky?" Mark just looked back at her and said "I don't know" he smiled at her.
