The Perfect Family; Epilogue
*15 years later*
"Mom, I'm going to Ella's house!" Taylor yelled as she slammed the door.
"Hey Mom, Cassy is coming over in a few minutes." Mason told me. Cassy is his girlfriend of almost 2 years. Charlie was right, he does get all the girls, with his light brown hair and blue-green eyes. Taylor gets all the guys too, and there's another baby on the way, who we're going to name Nicholas Evan Johnsonm after Nick.
Mason and Taylor are 15 years old, about to get their driving permit's. They hang out with the same group of friends and they get along well, only like 2-3 fights a month.
Bree is 17, and a few days after her birthday her and her best friend Erin are moving into an apartment together, which they've wanted to do since they were 6. Bree has a boyfriend named Ryan, and they've been dating for just over 4 years.
Sam and I are still going strong. I'm now 35 years old and Sam is 36. We're about to celebrate our 16 year wedding anniversary. Charlie and Matt have been married for about 13years, and they have 2 boys named Jack and Kevin. Jack is 10 and Kevin is 7.
Mom passed about 2 years ago from cancer, just like Dad. Sam's mom is in good shape though. She's 67 and excersizes every other day and eats all healthy foods.
Annie passed a month after the twins' 6th birthday. Before she died, she told me how excited she was to see her husband. I told her to say hi to Nick for me, and she said she'd save me a seat.
I'm a 1st grade teacher at my old elementry school, and Sam's a lawyer, so we get good money. We live in the same house, with Charlie and Matt across the street.
Sam, me, Bree, Taylor and Mason all have iPhones, and apple laptops. Everyone has their own room and they got to decorate it however they wanted.
Sometimes I tell them about when I was a teenager, they like to hear my stories. I tell them about their Uncle Nick, and how they would've loved him if he'd stayed.
I like to think back on my life, about everything that's happened to me. I'm glad that I dated Anthony, because if I didn't, I wouldn't be married to Sam with my 3 (almost 4) healthy kids. I love my life, everything about it.
When I was little, about 5 or 6, I often imagined what it would be like to have kids of my own, with a husband and we'd love eachother like mom and dad did, and now I do.

The Perfect Family; Chapter 34
The next day we're allowed to
go home. Sam's mom and my mom come over to see Mason and
Taylor, and we catch up from not being together in a while.
We find out that Annie lives right down the street from us, and she becomes a close family friend.
Her husband passed away shortly after out conversation, and she came over and we comforted her. Bree starts calling her Nana.
Charlie and Matt come over.
They're getting married in a few months, and I'm the maid of honor and Sam's the best man.
Charlie squeals and takes Mason from my arms.
"He's gonna be a hunk and get all the girls when he grows up!" she informs me.
"Hopefully that won't get to his head!" mom laughs.
"And Taylor will be a smokin chick who gets all the guys!" Matt chuckles, knowing Sam will get annoyed.
"Not if she wants to live!" he snaps.
I laugh and Bree tugs on my shirt. I kneel down and she puts her mouth to my ear.
"Do you love Daddy a lot Mama?" she whispers.
I put my mouth to her ear and whisper "Yes, I do."
"Does he love you?"
"I think so."
"Well I think he does, because he always kisses you! Bleh!"
I laugh. "That's what Mommies and Daddies do honey"
"Oh okay!" she whispers and runs to Charlie and hugs her.
"Auntie Chacha!" she squeals.
I laugh again and walk over to Matt and sit next to him on the couch.
"What'd Bree ask you?" he asks.
"She asked if I loved Sam, and asked if he loved me." I reply.
"He does, you know. He always tells me." he informs me.
I look up at him and I can tell he's serious.
I rest my head on his shoulder and watch everyone. I smile and think about my life. It's perfect.

Everyone leaves, and we put the kids to bed.
Sam takes my hand and leads me up to bed.
"Bree's right." he mumbles.
"About what?"
"I do love you. So much. You're my whole world. I don't know what'd I'd do without you. I'm so glad you came into my life. I wish I could've come into your differently, but maybe if I had, we wouldn't be where we are now. I love you Ariana Johnson, with all my heart." he whispers.
I blush like crazy.
"And I love you Samuel Johnson. So much. You're my world. I couldn't live without you. I'm so glad you came into my life, and I wouldn't change how. I remember every day with you, being in your arms is all I need. I love you with all my heart." I whisper back.
He laughs and takes my face in his hands.
"So, let's do it?" he whispers.
"Yes. But, one thing first. Promise me you'll never leave me, ever." I whisper.
"I promise. No matter what." he promises, sealing it with a kiss.

The Perfect Family; Chapter 33
*4 months later*
"Sam?" I whisper, shaking him awake. "We have to go!"
His eyes snap open and he jumps up out of bed.
He grabs our stuff and I pick up Bree and carry her to the car.
We drive to the hospital and Bree wakes up about 5 minutes into the drive, as we're trying to think of names.
"Mama, can her name be Taylor?" Bree asks. I look at Sam. "I actually like that name, and it's your Mom's name." I tell him.
"Yay!" Bree claps.
"What about Mason, for your Dad?" Sam suggests. I nod. "Mason Zachary, for your Dad." he smiles.
"And Taylor Ann, for your Mom." he says.
*the next day*
When I wake up, I hear a baby crying. I smile as they place Taylor in my arms. I kiss her forehead, and she opens her eyes. She has bright blue eyes, with yellow right around the center and dark blue around the outside. I feed her, then Sam takes Taylor and gives me Mason. He has dark blue eyes, with green speckles throughout his eye. I smile at him and his mouth twitches, and I think he's trying to smile.
I laugh and feed him, then I hold both Taylor and Mason, and they let Bree into the room, who's been talking to Annie, who came to the hospital because Sam called her.
Bree holds Mason and Annie comes in and holds Taylor.
"We're one big happy family now Mama!" Bree smiles.
"Sam?" I whisper, shaking him awake. "We have to go!"

*5 months later*
"Wake up Ari, today's the day!" Sam shakes me awake. Today we're going to find out the gender of the baby. I'm so excited.
I get dressed sort of fancy and we get into the car.
It takes about 20 minutes to get to the hospital. Sam walks up to talk to the nurse, and I sit next to an old lady.
"Hi!" I cheerily say.
"What? Oh, hello dear." she sweetly replies. "What are you here for?"
"Oh, I'm here to find out the gender of my baby." I reply, patting my stomach. "You?"
"I'm here to see my husband. He was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, and I'm afraid he's losing."
"I'm so sorry."
"It's alright dear. Like they say, all good things come to an end sometime."
"How long have you two been married?"
"65 years. It's been a long ride, and I guess now it's coming to an end." she whispers as a tear slips down her cheek. "I'm Annie, by the way."
"I'm Ari."
"Well, it looks like your man is coming back now. I'll be here when you come out. Make sure to tell me what you're having. Good luck dear!" she tells me as Sam comes back. I hug her and walk to meet Sam.
"Who was that?" Sam asks.
"Annie." I tell him about her as we walk to the ultrasound room.
~a few hours later~
"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, you're having a baby boy and a baby girl!" the nurse announces. I beam and Sam grins.

In the morning I wake up with my
arm hurting like hell.
I get dressed in a white shirt that said Stop Making Sense, white capris, black Toms and a black hoodie.
We went to Charlie's house and Matt is there. We talk about what happened to Nick, then we go to Culvers and get icecream.
Matt sees me getting sweaty. "Ari, why don't you take off your sweatshirt? It's like a million degrees out here!" he suggests.
I shake my head. "I'm okay." I tell him. He sticks his tongue out at me and runs over to me and forces my sweatshirt over my head, revealing my gauzed up arm.
"W-what happened?" Matt whispers. I look over at Charlie and her face sinks, knowing what I've done.
Sam takes Matt by the car and tells him as I stuff my arms and head back into my sweatshirt.
"Ari, you can't start this again." Charlie scolds me.
"Sam threw it away. I won't." I whisper.
She nods as the guys come back and we go back to talking.
After a while, we go back home and Sam takes me to the movies and we see The Hunger Games. I cry when Rue dies, and I cheer when they win the Games.
We drive home and fall onto the bed, and fall asleep right away.

The Perfect Family; Chapter 30
I lay on the ground, crying my eyes
out, for about 5 minutes before Sam comes up.
"Ari... are you okay?" he whispers, his voice shaking.
"What do you think." I mutter.
"Please, don't." he mumbles, knowing what I'm thinking.
I open the cabinet under the sink and grab my razor, the one that I haven't touched in so long.
I take a deep breath as the blade hits my skin and the blood trickles to the ground. I cut and cut, until my forearm is a bloody mess, when Sam unlocks the door. He gasps when he sees me.
He picks me up and cuddles me in his arms for a little bit, then sits me on the bathroom sink, cleans up my arm, and wraps gauze around it. He wraps his arms around me. Then he pulls away, picks me up, and takes me downstairs, with my razor in his hand. He makes sure I'm watching him as he throws my razor in the garbage.
I sigh as he takes the garbage out to the curb for the garbage man to pick up in the morning.
He comes back in and takes me upstairs, puts me in a black baggy shirt that reaches to my knees, and short sweat shorts.
He lays me in bed, tucks me in, kisses my forehead, lays down next to me, and we fall asleep, wrapped in eachothers arms.
"Ari... are you okay?" he whispers, his voice shaking.
"What do you think." I mutter.
"Please, don't." he mumbles, knowing what I'm thinking.

Nick finally comes out and drives
everyone home. The ride is silent and then there's only Sam
and I left.
He pulls up to our house and me and Sam quickly jump out, holding hands to show Nick that we're not mad at eachother. I hear him sigh before he drives away.
We walk inside and collapse on the couch. "What a day." I mumble and chuckle. He laughs and nods.
I get up and make dinner for the two of us, since Charlie is staying at Sam's mom for the week.
I cook up some steak and baked potatoes, and we sit down to feast.
As Sam stuffs his face, I click on the tv.
"And on today's news, Nicholas Thomas was found by his mother in his room, with a spilled pill bottle next to his bed, with more than half the pills gone. Next to his bed was a note that read;
To whoever finds me,
I'm sorry I had to do this, but it was my only choice.
The girl of my dreams hates my guts, my best friend is in jail, and I am just a wreck. There was nothing here for me anymore.
Don't worry, it wasn't painful. I just got a little dizzy.
Don't bother to try and save me, by the time you find me, I'll already be gone. My eyes are starting to droop now. I feel no pain at all. Please don't cry for me, you'll all be okay without me. I love you all, more than anything.
To Anthony-Have fun in hell my friend, cuz you're sure as hell not going where I am.
Sam-Thanks for being there for me, sorry I let you down.
Mom-I love you. Please don't cry. This wasn't your fault.
And Ari-Sweet, sweet Ari. I love you. Always have, always will. If you were mine, I'd remind you that every day. But sadly, your heart is taken. So here I am, laying on my bed, pills in stomach, heading to heaven. I'll save you a seat. Tell Bree that Uncle Nick had to move, and that I love her. But Ari, you're the most beautiful, amazing girl I've ever met. I'll never forget you, if you never forget me. You will be the last thing on my mind before I pass. I'm sorry for what I did to you at the beach, but I wanted you to be mine. I love you so much. I know you hate me, but please, keep me in your heart. Forever and always. I'll be meditating in heaven.

I run upstairs to the bathroom and lock the door, collapsing on the ground, sobbing.

The Perfect Family; Chapter 28
"WHAT THE HELL
ARE YOU DOING NICK?!" Sam screams, and Nick quickly pushes
me away.
"She jumped on me man." he mutters.
"What? No, Sam! I didn't! I was in the water and I fell and he caught me, then he kissed me! Then he forced me to come here, and did this to me!" I scream, picking up my top and clipping it back on.
Sam balls his fists and punches Nick in the stomach.
He groans and falls back on the ground, clutching his chest.
Sam takes my hand, and pulls me out of the storage room.
"Hey, we're black and white, opposites attract!" Nick moans (referring to the bathing suits) as we slam the door shut.
I pull Sam into a tight hug, crushing my lips against his.
"I love you, so much." I whisper, as we touch forheads. He chuckes.
"I love you too" he whispers and kisses me again, cupping my stomach in his hands.
We go to the snack shack and get what everyone wanted, and go back to the beach where they are.
"What took you so long?" Matt yells and grabs his food. Sam tells them what happened with me adding in parts he missed.
Charlie and Matt's jaws hit the ground when we finish the story.
Sam wraps his arms around my waist and we all sit on the sand and build a sandcastle, which comes out to be huge.
A little girl and boy comes to us and asks if they can help, and pretty soon a bunch of little kids are around us, helping us build our castle.

We put in mini steps, and everything that would be suitable for a mini person.
Us and all the kids line up around the castle and all the parents take pictures.
The little girl that first asked me came up and hugged me. "Thank you Ari!" she squeals and runs to her mom. I smile and wave goodbye.
"She jumped on me man." he mutters.
"What? No, Sam! I didn't! I was in the water and I fell and he caught me, then he kissed me! Then he forced me to come here, and did this to me!" I scream, picking up my top and clipping it back on.
Sam balls his fists and punches Nick in the stomach.
He groans and falls back on the ground, clutching his chest.
Sam takes my hand, and pulls me out of the storage room.

"Cmon Ari,
let's go in private." Nick mumbles.
I shake my head no, but he grabs my hand and drags me along next to him. We pass Sam and Nick quickly drops my hand.
"We're going to the snack shack. Who wants what?"
Everyone tells us what they want, then jump back into the water.
Nick pulls me into a storage room and locks the door.
He pushes me up against the wall and cups my cheek in his hand, before crashing his lips to mine once again. I place my hand on his hard abs, trying to push him away, but he's too strong.
"Stop fighting babe. You know you love it." he growls through kisses. I try and pull away, but he pushes towards me when I move away.
His hand wanders up my chest, slipping under my bikini top. I groan and push harder, but he retaliates.
He reaches his hand on my back, and unclips my top. I try to scream, but he pushes his lips on mine harder.
My top falls to the ground, and he grabs my breasts and squeezes them, so hard it hurts.
A tear slips down my eye as he starts to take off my bottoms.

*one week later*
It's about 90 degrees outside, so Sam, Bree, Charlie, Matt, Nick and I all meet at our house to go to the beach.
I slip into a black bikini, sandals with a black flower on it, and a black cover up, and Charlie puts on a blue bikini, blue flip flops, and a turquoise cover up. Sam has black trunks, Matt has blue trunks, and Nick has white trunks.
Nick gets in the front of his pickup and we all hop in the back. Sam plays his iPod and we all scream along to the music. We are all laughing a lot when we get to the beach.
Charlie and I lay our towels in the sand and put on sunglass and tan, white Sam, Nick and Matt jump off the pier. Charlie and I are talking to eachother with our eyes closed, when I feel two pairs of hands grab me and pick me up. I open my eyes to see Sam holding up my arms and Nick my feet.
"SAMUEL JOHNSON YOU BETTER NOT LET ME TOUCH THAT WATER OR I SWEAR I'LL--" I scream as they throw me in the icy cold water. I surface my head to see Matt and Sam getting Charlie and she's screaming too. Her hitting the water splashes me and I laugh as Sam, Nick and Matt jump in.
Charlie and I chase after them, dunking them underwater and smacking their shoulders, when I fall, and feel a pair of strong hands catch me.
I look up to see Nick, staring into my eyes, and before I know it, I feel his lips crashing onto mine.
