Start 2013 off with an empty jar
As the year progresses, write down all the good things that happened to you and put them in the jar
At the end of the year, read about all the good things that happened to you

Hurricane Katrina
Let me tell you something about Sandy. We were best friends in middle school. I know, right? It's so embarrasing. I don't even...whatever. So then in eigth grade, Irene hit, and Sandy was like, weirdly jealous of her. Like, if I would rate her a 1, and then I'd rate Irene a 3, she'd be like, "Why am I rated me so low?" And I'd be like, "Why are you so obsessed with me?" So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-category 3 and up party, I was like, "Sandy, I can't invite you, because you're category 1." I mean I couldn't have a category 1 at my party. There were gonna be storms wipping out entire cities there. I mean, right? She was a CATEGORY 1. So then her mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so retarded. And then she dropped out of school because no one would talk to her, and she came back in October, and now I guess she's destoying the entire East Coast.

That  kid in class who

who whispers you the answer when you get called on and you dont know it.

.. thank you.

Read.
For class today, myself and a few other seniors got to go to the middle school to help some kids and be kind of a like a big buddy.  5 and 6th graders all met up in the gym and got in to groups. I was the leader in one group and others had their own group too.
We gave them a paper to fill out by coloring in the little circle for there answer.
Questions like :
Parents smoke?
Are your parents divorced?
and one of the questions were, are you thinking about suicide?
At the end of the survey, they handed the paper to me and I would meet up with a teacher and give them the papers for them to look over. I was looking over some and what I saw, made me sick.  I had 18 6th graders in my group.. and 9 of those kids colored in the circle of thinking about suicide.  All of them put down, I get bullied.. I get made fun of because I don't wear designer jeans. I get bulled because I am not pretty..
A 6th grade boy walked up to me and said.. I want to end everything.. So i pulled him to the side and told him to tell me why.. His response: "My mom drinks... and my dad is never home.. My mom yells at me if I don't make dinner for my little brother.. I had an older brother but he passed away from an accident.. I'm sick of being depressed.."
I was like, wait a second.. I'll go get someone..  And he was like, Caleb.. I just don't want to go home anymore..
and started crying out in the hall way.
What the hell is this world coming to? 5-6th graders thinking about suicide.. They shouldn't even know what that means yet.

If everyone cared and swallowed their pride, we'd see the day where nobody died.
