Don't Lose Hope
(might eventually change name)
Chapter One (Abigail)- Part One!
"Welcome Girls to Windsor Rugby Travel Team. I'm your head
coach, Dean Marshaletto. We won the championship five years in a
row, and I would like to keep it that way. This will be the hardest
tryout, you'll ever do and news flash, it won't get any
easier-" It seems like this has been the speech of my
life. I probably can say this speech in my sleep. Ever since my Dad
has coached this team, I've been the captain slash the leader
of the team.
Seven years later, I've broken almost every bone in my body.
It's the hot topic of my Dad and Mom's arguments, thank God
for their divorce.
"-You have seven days to prove to me, that you can play rugby.
It's only three hours a day. I want no complaining. If you are,
you can complain on the way out the doors. Ok, lets get started.
Today will about fitness. Abigail can you start us off?" My
Dad asked.
I rose to my feet and it felt like I was in the middle of the
spotlight, everyone was looking at me like I had two heads. When I
got to the front and beside my Dad I begun. "Hey guys, first
we are gonna do four laps, and then we will get in a circle in the
field and stretch. Try to keep up. Alright"
I went into the front of the group and started running, while my
best friend, Heather, came up beside me.
"Your dad is playing that tough act again" she murmured.
"Like usual" I replied. "Dude, what does your dad
have planned for us" i heard a voice for behind asked. I
shortly noticed it was my other best friend, Alexa. " Just
fitness drills, we aren't doing much rugby drills today" I
said.
I turned around and started to jog backwards for a little bit and
noticed my other four best friends, Stephine, Taylor, Maxi and
Kimberry. All seven of us, are really close. We've been best
friends since grade, and ever since we've been each other's
sisters. Which is weird because we are nothing alike.
Different styles and different personalities.
Heather is the shy one, she's been my best friend for
the longest time. When she first started high school, she
was picked on a lot. Thankfully she found her "true love"
right away. Don't get me wrong I do believe in love,
but I guess you can say I gave up on it. Her boyfriend is so
protective over her, sometimes it worries me, but he is still a
nice guy.
Alexa is the confident, guy-obessed and the out-going one.
All she knows is guys, which comes to my advantage, so
I'm not one to complain. I have to admit all her games, kinda
make me second guess her, but I know here and she always stays true
to herself and emotionally, she is very strong. Her and all of us,
know she will find her Mr.Right, sooner or later.
Then there is Stephine, she is a very difficult person to
read, but easy to understand. She's the one who is always
laughing, smiling and trying to make us and everyone else laugh.
She is the strongest i know but mentally and emotionally. She has
through everything, drug addiction, suicide and she was almost a
parent, but ended up being a miscarriage. But she doesn't use
that as an excuse, she is now living her life to the fullest.
Everyone says in every "click", there is atleast one
tom-boy, we have one, Taylor. Football to tennis, soccer to
volleyball, she has played it. I don't think there is a sport
she hasn't played. But I guess that's her way of
drowning out her pain, since she basically lives on her own. She
lives with her father, but he is always traveling.
Since, most of my friends, are very outspoken, we need someone to
protect us and we got her. Maxi, is five feet tall,
but don't let looks fool you. Her mom died of cancer five
years ago, ever since then, her dad became her life. Everyone
thinks she's tough (which she is) but she a real
softie. Other than, her dad, boxing is also very important to
her. To sum it all up, don't mess with this chick.
Nerd of all nerds, is Kimberry. Her goal is be a genius, school,
grades, exams, and teachers are her strengths. Having a social
life, boyfriend and going to a party is her weakness. It's a
shame because the one time we did get her drunk, she was the center
of attention. But schoolwork is what she has to do, according to
her strict parents.
Then there is me, Abigail. Music is my boyfriend, All-Star Converse
are my obsession, and writing is my thepary. I live with my Dad and
my three brothers. Two are older than me, Carson and Tyler. They
are nineteen, and twins. Then there is Kaden, my little brother. He
is ten years old and the highlight of my life. My Mom, well she is
a big movie producer in Hollywood, and just left me, my brothers
and my Dad. But that her choice, she is the one losing out.
