10 years ago on this
day,
the world witnessed one of the most tragic
events to ever happen on American soil.
It
was a beautiful morning in downtown Manhatten, people went to work
as usual and everything was normal.
Muslims from the terrorist
group Al Qaeda hijacked 4 jets which all
crashed.
8:46 AM: The first plane
struck and the terror begun. American Airlines
Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Centers
North Tower.
9:03 AM: United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the
South Tower.
9:37 AM: American Airlines Flight 77 hit the
Pentagon.
9:59 AM: The south tower collapsed.
10:03 AM: United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in a field
near Shanksville, PA.
Apparently it was heading towards the White House, but
the passengers on the flight fought the hijackers and
crashed the plane. Knowing they'd risk their lives,
they saved 1,000's.
10:28 AM: The north tower collapsed.
Nearly 3,000 people died in these
attacks.
Those in the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center,
those in the Pentagon, those in Flight 93 and all the
jet planes, and the firefighters who risked their lives
to help the
victims.
Always
remember, never forget.
