Chapter 10

Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

The next morning I awoke to the sound of thunder and rain. I grabbed my phone off my desk and sent a text to Lily, Heather, and Sam. 'Heey, good morning! nice weather outside, eh? :( i guess this means no hangouts 2day:( oh well, maybe next week we'll have a sleepover at my house :D love yuh, bye<33' I wrote, and clicked "send". I got up and out of my room, checking if Marilyn or my parents woke up yet. They were still sleeping, so I quietly fixed myself some cereal in the kitchen and went back to my room and opened my laptop. I went on facebook, and before checking my notifications, something caught my eye.

It was a post from Jodie on Most Recent news. Jodie Wilson went from being "single" to a being " in a relationship" with Andrew Stevens. Oh my gosh! I couldn't believe this! I thought Jodie and Andrew weren't dating, and yesterday Andrew was mad at Jodie! I slammed my laptop shut, walked back to the kitchen, sat at the table, and ate my cereal. I was just beginning to think Andrew liked me. But now, I guess its all over. I won't talk to him, I won't look at him, and I won't like him anymore. I just can't believe- I snapped out of my thoughts, as someone poked me from behind. I jumped out of my chair, and it was Marilyn.

''Marilyn! You scared me! What do you want?" I said. "Food." she replied. Again, Marilyn always needed me to give her food because she was hungry. "No. I think you're old enough to at least make cereal for yourself. I'm going to my room." I said, and went upstairs again. I closed my door  and just lay on my bed for a while. A few minutes later, my dog Buddy walked in my room and curled up beside me. I pet him, and we both fell asleep soon.

"Kaylee! Kaylee!" my mom nudged me. "Wake up! It's past 12:00, and someone is at the door." I opened my eyes, and walked downstairs. I expected to find Lily, Heather, Sam, or maybe even Jamie at my door, but instead, it was Andrew. "Hey sleepy head." he smiled. "Hi." I said. This time I wasn't embarrassed wearing my spongebob pajamas, with my wild, messy hair all over the place. Besides, I had no feelings for Andrew anymore. ''So.. want to go to the park?'' he asked. ''Nope. I think you'd rather go with Jodie.'' I replied, and slammed the door shut. I felt guilty right away, and watched him from my window, as his face expression changed from confused to sad, and he walked towards his house.

I didn't do much that day. The ugly weather outside made my mood feel the same. I played cards with Marilyn, and my family and I made dinner together. ''Hey, this chicken isn't bad Marilyn. You could be a great cook!'' My dad smiled, while we all ate. And he was right- the chicken Marilyn made by herself (with a little help from my mom) was pretty good. After dinner, I finished up the homework I had from school for tomorrow. I couldn't wait to tell Jamie what happened while she wasn't here, and I wonder what she did at her dad's house as well.

I  went to bed soon, and checked my text messeges one more time . I had a new one from an unknown number , which read, 'what was that for? :/ i thought we were friends kaylee.. well anyway talk to you tmrw at school. add my number on ur phone too, bye. -Andrew' Ugh. I just deleted the messege, put my phone back in its place, and went to bed with Buddy at my side again.

Chapter 9

Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

Andrew led me to his room, where he collected his Xbox and Black Ops game, bringing it to his basement. His basement was fully finished, and looked as nice as his upstairs. We entered the french doors to the family room. Sitting on the long beige couch, was a girl that looked 10 years old. "Maddie, could you please get off the couch and go watch MTV upstairs?" Andrew asked her. "Oh, and Kaylee, this is my 10-year-old sister Madison. Madison, this is my friend Kaylee." "Hi Kaylee." Madison said, popping her gum she was chewing. "Hey." I smiled. "Andrew, I told you, the TV upstairs doesn't have MTV. And I'm watching my favourite show, so you're going to have to go someplace else." Madison said, in an annoyed tone.

"No, Maddie. Stop arguing and go, please." Andrew said patiently, still holding his Xbox and Black Ops game. "Fine, whatever." she replied, walking upstairs. "Hah, I see you two get along really well." I said sarcastically, once Madison was out of the room. "She's only 10, and obsessed with MTV. Plus, she's been begging for a cell phone, since all her other friends have one. She's just so.. ugh." Andrew sighed, setting up his system on the flat-screen TV. "Wow, impressive. I got my cell phone a couple months ago." I said, plopping myself on the couch. "I rarely use mine." Andrew said, sitting next to me, a few inches away. "Okay so, do you know how to play?" "Nope!" I smiled. "Alright, well first off, the point of this game is to..." Andrew started explaining. When he was done, and I understood, we started playing.

Halfway into the game, I was already killed multiple times. All the blood and sounds freaked me out a bit, so I excused myself to the bathroom. I just stood at the sink, checking the texts on my phone. One was from Lily, one from Sam, and one from Heather- the usual. "Heey chickaa! Wasssup? The girls and I have been trying to call you on your phone for like, everrrr! :(" The message from Lily said. I replied with, "Nmjc, just at a friend's housee, no worries girl! ;)<3 I'll call you back when I have time, we should all hang out tmrw- you, me, heather, sam! :D". I wrote the same to Heather and Sam, after they asked where I was and what I was doing.

I walked out of the bathroom, and Andrew was still playing Black Ops. "Hey, um.. do you want to do something else? Maybe go to the park or something?" I asked. Andrew paused the game. "Sure, I can tell this game is getting a bit boring for you, huh?" He smiled. "Oh! And do you want to make hot chocolate upstairs and then we could go to the nearby park? Whatever you want." He added shyly. "Sure." I nodded, and we headed to his kitchen. I showed Andrew how to properly make the hot chocolate, and laughed when he almost burned himself. We went back downstairs and drank our hot chocolate there. I turned on the TV, and surfed the channels. "So.. what's new? Where's Jamie today?" Andrew asked. "Nothing much, I think Jamie's at her dad's house, that's what her mom told me." I said, taking a sip of the warm, delicious tasting hot chocolate. "Aha, okay." he nodded.

When we were done, Andrew and I walked to the park and went on the swings. It got even colder than last time I was outside, and my light sweater didn't help. Andrew was wearing a blue fall jacket with a long sleeve shirt underneath, and he could tell I was shivering. "Hey, do you want to borrow my jacket?" He asked. I felt so embarrassed, and blushed. Only in movies and books, did a guy or a boyfriend lend you his jacket. But Andrew wasn't my boyfriend, he was my friend- that was a guy. "Are you sure? I mean, you're going to be cold too, so I'll just go home." I said quickly, and jumped off the swing. "No, it's okay, I won't be cold." Andrew said, following me. "Nah, I'm also late for dinner, so I'll go home." I smiled, wrapping my sweater tighter around me. "Well then I'll walk you home." He said.

I got home soon, and hoped I wasn't late for dinner or grounded. I thanked Andrew and hugged him good-bye, then waved as he took the sidewalk to his house. I opened my front door, and Marilyn was standing there, smiling like crazy. "Oooooh! Kaylee has a boyfriend! Kaylee has a boyfriend! Kaylee has a boyfriend!" She sang, skipping in circles around me. "No I do not! He's just my friend!" I shouted, over her voice. "What's going on?" My mom said, coming from the kitchen. "Mommy! Kaylee has a boyfriend!" Marilyn said. "No! No I don't! Andrew is just my friend." I told her. "Ah, okay honey. Tell me more about Andrew over dinner. We're having chicken and Caesar salad." My mom smiled. "And your father is coming back from work soon, then we're all going to Aunt Sarah's house." I sighed. "Okay mom." And followed her to the kitchen, where delicious food was waiting. I gave Marilyn a look, as she wouldn't stop smiling at me, and we sat down at the table.

Chapter 8
Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

-2 weeks later-

It was the last week of September. The leaves on the trees were turning brown and orange, and the weather was getting chillier, signaling that fall was just days away. The past few weeks had been the same for me. Jodie didn't mention the note or talk to me since that night at the park, and she wasn't hanging out with Andrew that much anymore. I was not quite enjoying my new seat in history class next to Trey Simmons, after Mr. Clarke announced that no more seat changes were to be made. Jamie, Andrew, and I have become fast and close friends, because of walking our dogs every night after school, usually talking about nothing or anything, and just hanging out.

Today, it was Saturday- the weekend. I was walking to Jamie's house, the wind blowing in my face. I was wearing light jeans, and a pink sweater, with my hair tied in a ponytail, and no makeup on. As I approached Jamie's house, I rang her doorbell. Jamie's mom answered. "Hello Kaylee." she said, and behind her the house was unusually silent. "Hi. Is Jamie there?" I asked. "No. She's at her umm.. dad's house." Jamie's mom replied, "She'll be back on Monday." "Okay, thanks. Bye." I said, walking back down from Jamie's front door to the sidewalk. Hmm.. Jamie never told me about going to her dad's house, or about her parents being divorced. I thought. I continued walking down Jamie's street, passing her house and Andrew's house, until I heard someone's voice behind me. "Kaylee." the person said. I turned around to find Jodie right behind me. With her, there were two other girls- a redhead and another blonde. "What?" I said. "It's been two weeks. You are SO lucky I haven't done anything to you yet, as I said I would in my note." Jodie smirked. "But you broke the rules and talked to my Andrew. So now it's time to do what I do best." she pulled out her cell phone.

Jodie knew how to spread rumors about everyone through facebook, and I could tell she was going to do that to me too. I broke my silence. "Listen, you can't FORBID me to talk to Andrew. He's my friend, and you two aren't even dating. You also don't even hang out anymore, so what difference does it make?!" I shouted, filled with anger. Jodie started laughing, and of course her two 'friends' did as well. Just then, a hand snatched Jodie's cell phone away from her. She stopped laughing, and turned around to face Andrew, who had a serious expression on his face, holding Jodie's sparkly Nokia phone.

"Hey! Give Jodie her phone back." the redhead said. Jodie made a face at her to shut up. "Hey Andrew. What's up?" Jodie said nervously, "Kaylee and I were just having a friendly conversation, and umm.. I pulled out my cell phone so she could uh.. give me her number." What a liar. "No. You weren't. I heard everything from my room in my house." Andrew said calmly. Jodie looked worried now. "Oh. Well, could I have my phone back now?" she said. "No. If you start any rumors about Kaylee, I'll tell the whole high school your biggest secret. Understand?" Andrew said. "NO! Andrew- I mean, Kaylee, um.. I'm sorry. I won't do anything!" Jodie wailed. "Good." Andrew said. He threw Jodie her cell phone as she walked away, and the redhead and blonde followed.

"Thank you! Thank you!" I said to Andrew, once Jodie and her friends were gone. "No problem." he smiled. "Want to come over and play black ops or something?" he asked shyly. "Sure, I'll  beat you." I joked. I actually had no idea how to play. "Oh, and Andrew? What's the big secret about Jodie?" I asked, as we walked towards his house. "There is no secret, I just got her scared." Andrew shrugged. I nodded, and we stepped inside his huge house.

Chapter 7
Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

It was Andrew. He was busy playing black-ops on his Xbox, in his room, with his back turned to me. I recognized him because of his blonde hair. I spit out the apple pie I was chewing. "Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed. "I didn't know Andrew Stevens was your next door neighbour!" Jamie laughed. "Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention that." she told me.  I nodded, and looked back out the window. Andrew wasn't playing black ops anymore, instead, he was standing at his window, smiling. "Hey guys." He said to Jamie and I. I blushed, and sunk to the floor, out of his sight. He must have heard what we were saying! "Hey Andrew." Jamie walked up to her window. "Do you want to go walk our dogs together? Kaylee can come too." He asked.

Jamie looked down at me. I was still sitting on the floor, where Andrew couldn't see me, mouthing "No!" frantically. Jamie looked back out her window, smiling. "Sure, we'll be down in a sec." And with that, she motioned for me to follow her downstairs. "Jamie! No! If I talk to Andrew, or if Jodie catches me hanging out with him, I'm dead meat!" I shouted, once we were out of Jamie's room. She ignored me, and started calling out for her dog. "Max! Come here boy!" Jamie yelled. A big golden retriever came running towards her from another room. She brought a red leash and her dog with her, as we both headed outside.

The air outside was moist and foggy, but the rain had stopped. Andrew was waiting for us in front of his house, wearing a green t-shirt and white basketball shorts. "Hey Jamie. Hey Kaylee." He said, waving with his free hand, the other one on his dalmatian dog's leash.  "Hey." I replied. We all started walking down the street. "Andrew, Kaylee and I have to show you something." Jamie said, nodding towards me. I pulled out Jodie's note, handed it to Andrew, and watched him read it. "So, she threatened you?" Andrew asked me, worried, after he was done reading. Jamie and I nodded. "Well, this is all my fault. I'm sorry Kaylee, and I'll talk to Jodie. But, how am I 'hers'?" He said to us. "Aren't you and Jodie.. dating?" I blushed. "No!" Andrew said.

"Oh." I replied. The three of us walked towards the park where Jamie and I met up earlier today. Thank God Jodie wasn't still there. I took turns walking Andrew's dalmatian, and Jamie's golden retriever. "Next time Kaylee, bring your beagle Buddy." Jamie said. "I will." I replied. "You have a dog too?" Andrew asked me. "Yep, got him last year." I said. We talked about my dog, told jokes, and laughed. Before we knew it, it was 10:00, and past my curfew for school days. I know, I have strict parents. I panicked, and told Andrew and Jamie that I had to go home. Andrew pulled me in for a hug, and I swear my heart skipped a beat. Jamie winked, and said she would see me tomorrow, at school. I waved good-bye and ran off into the distance, towards home.

My face flushed. "I.. I.. how could-what?" I asked, confused. "So, you like Andrew? You can tell me, it's not like I'm going to tell people." Jamie said. "Well.. kinda." I replied shyly. "Well, well, well. Look who it is! Stupid and stupider." Jamie and I both turned around, and Jodie was standing there.

"What do you want now, Jodie?" Jamie asked annoyed. "Well, I just saw the two of you, and came by to make sure you got that note. And Kaylee, if you ever talk to Andrew again, I will make your life a living h*ll. Got it?" Jodie said with a fake smile. I was about to tell her off, but Jamie put her hand over my mouth. "Let's go Kaylee." she whispered, as she grabbed my hand and led me out of the park. "Why did you do that? I was about to say something!" I said. "We started enough drama already. We don't need anymore." Jamie explained.

We walked for a while, until we reached Jamie's house. Suddenly, it started pouring rain and we both ran inside her house. The first thing I saw when I got inside, were two little twin boys running towards us with toy cars. One of the twins threw a car, and it hit me right in the gut. "Ouch!" I yelled. "Go away! Sorry, those are my little brothers, Tommy and Braedon." Jamie said annoyed. Tommy and Braedon ran off, giggling. "It's okay." I replied. I looked around the rest of Jamie's huge, clean house. It smelled like a mix of air fresheners and apple pie. "Here, take off your shoes and let's go to my room." Jamie said. I did as I was told, and just then a woman appeared in front of us. "Hello girls." she smiled. "Hi, I'm Kaylee." I said sweetly, guessing it was Jamie's mom. "I'm Jamie's mom, nice to meet you sweetheart." she said. "Nice to meet you too." I said happily.

"Do you girls want some pie?" Jamie's mom asked. "Sure." I said. "Then I'll take some too." Jamie responded. Jamie's mom quickly ran to the kitchen, and came back with two plates of pie. "Here you go, enjoy!" she smiled. I nodded, took the pie, and we headed upstairs to Jamie's room. We walked in, and she closed the door behind us. I loved her room! It had purple and lime green walls, a fluffy white carpet, huge bed, and flat screen T.V. It also had a huge window covered with a thin light purple curtain, and you could see the rest of her street from it. "Your room is awesome!" I said. I took a bite out of the delicious apple pie, and peeked out the window at Jamie's next-door neighbour's house. I gasped. I couldn't believe what I saw.

Finally, it was the end of the day. My head felt much better after soccer, and when I got home I had dinner with my family and played some board games with Marilyn. Later, I went upstairs to my room, sat on my bed, and opened my pink laptop. I logged into facebook. 1 friend request, 1 message, and 15 notifications, I read. I checked my friend request, and it was from Jamie Heartly. I clicked 'confirm' and read the message she sent me. Kaylee, I need to talk to you. Call me when you get this. 519-678-9664. From Jamie.

I pulled out my BlackBerry cell phone from my jean back pocket and dialed her number. "Hello?" Jamie said. "Hi, it's Kaylee. I got your message on facebook. Why did you need to talk to me?" I asked curiously. "Well, can you meet me at Thurston Park in half an hour? I'll explain everything there." Jamie replied. "Sure, I'll be there." I said. "K, bye." Jamie said nicely. "Bye." I said back. I shut my phone, and got changed into a purple-and-white tank top and beige capris. I let my hair down naturally straight, and rushed downstairs from my room. I found purple flip flops to wear and grabbed my phone on my way out. "I'm going to Thurston Park Mom and Dad!" I shouted from the door. "Okay sweetie. Just don't come home late." My dad said from the living room. "I won't!" I said back. I closed the door and jogged to the park.

When I arrived, Jamie was sitting on a swing, waiting for me. She looked pretty- with her curly brown hair in a messy bun, adidas shorts, blue hollister shirt, and puma running shoes. "Hello." She said. "Hey, so what's going on?" I replied, taking a seat next to her on the other swing. "Today I left school earlier for a doctor's appointment. I opened my locker, and this is what I found." Jamie said, handing me a little piece of paper with writing on it.

Jamie, Jamie, Jamie.
You think you're better than me?
Well guess what? Karma's a b*tch.
So tell your little friend Kaylee to back off of Andrew, he's mine!
Love: Jodie

Chapter 4
Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

"Sure, what is it?" I smiled. "Well, Jodie doesn't like you that much, so she wants me to sit next to her instead. Will you switch spots with me?" He asked. My smile faded. He wasn't going to ask me out or anything, what was I thinking? Now I have to agree to switch seats with him and sit next to a kid named Trey, with bad acne and greasy hair. Andrew and Jodie are probably dating anyway, and I'm just one of almost all the ninth grade girls who is falling for Andrew. "What's wrong? You look sad." Andrew said. I snapped out of my thoughts. "Oh, nothing. Yeah, I guess you could switch seats with me." I sighed. "Okay, thanks Kaylee." He flashed his smile.

Soon enough, it was lunch. I obviously sat with Lily, Heather, and Sam. While they talked, I spotted Jodie sitting with Andrew and his friends. That was no surprise. I just tried getting my mind off of them, and laughed and talked with my best friends, instead.

After lunch it was Phys. Ed. All the ninth grade girls went to the changing room to get their equipment on. We were to play soccer, while the ninth grade boys watched. I'm not a huge fan of soccer, but I have to admit- I'm pretty good at it. I tied my straight brown hair into a high ponytail, while the Phys. Ed teacher Mr. Wilson arranged the teams.  It was the blue team- with me, Lily, Heather, Sam, and two other girls, Jamie and Alexandra, versus the red team- with Jodie, Melanie, Sarah, Tamara, Sabrina, and Drew. We all headed to the field behind our school, and Mr. Wilson blew the whistle.

The game began. Jamie passed the ball to me, I brought it up, and passed it back to her. Jamie then brought it up some more, and passed it back to me again. I was about to shoot, but then out of nowhere, Jodie side tackled me. I collapsed to the ground, and could hear Jodie laughing from a distance. I felt dizzy, and my head hurt. Everyone ran up to me and kept asking if I was okay, but I could only hear Andrew's voice in the crowd. "Kaylee! Are you okay? Do you need ice?" he asked. I thought he didn't care! "Yes, my.. my head.. hurts." I managed to say. "I'll go get ice." Andrew offered, but Jamie insisted that she goes to get ice with me instead. She helped me up, we got some ice, and came back to the field to continue the soccer game. I didn't play anymore, I just sat on the bleachers with the boys. Andrew and I talked a bit, but Jodie kept giving me dirty looks, so I stopped.

Jamie and the rest of my team kicked the red team's butt! They won 7-4, and Jodie was pretty mad about it. Back at the changing room, Jamie came up to me. "Hey, sorry about what happened." she said. "It's okay, thanks for winning!" I smiled.  " Haha, no problem. I also have to tell you something." Jamie blurted out. "What?" I asked. "Well, I was bullied by Jodie in elementary school, and it looks like she's doing that to you too. If I were you, I wouldn't talk to her as much, and definitely not befriend her." Jamie explained. "Oh, sorry to hear that. Thanks for the advice, and I totally wasn't planning on being her friend!" I said. Jamie laughed. "Okay, well, I have to go. I have science next period." she said. "Aright, bye!" I smiled.

"Kaylee! Kaylee! Wake up!" Marilyn was yelling in my ear. I checked my clock, it was only 6:55, and I get up for school at 7:45. "What is it Marilyn?" I asked annoyed, and covered my head with my pillow. "Make me breakfast. Mommy went to work, and I'm hungry." she whined. Marilyn was 7 years old, with curly brown hair, and our father's green eyes. She also knew how to throw pretty good temper tantrums, which she was right now. "But I'm HUNGRY! Do you want me to starve?! Make me food!" she cried. "Marilyn! Okay! Calm down!" I got up and made her bacon and eggs.

Soon we both got dressed and ready for school. I waited for Marilyn's bus to pick her up, so i could leave too. I almost tripped on Buddy while walking out the door, but thankfully held onto the door handle.  I didn't want to ruin my new grey sweater from Abercrombie, or hurt my puppy.

Lily wasn't on the bus this morning, so I just sat next to one of the other girls in my grade. When I got to school, Lily, Heather, and Sam walked up to me. "Hello pretty girl!" Sam said. I blushed and greeted them. Then the bell rang, and I had to hurry to not be late for history class again. I put my backpack in my locker, and gathered my stuff for history class. I passed Andrew in the hallway, and he walked up to me. "Hey Kaylee." He said, looking at me with his hazel eyes. He was wearing plaid shorts and a blue t-shirt. "Hey Andrew." I replied, walking straight ahead. "Hey umm.. I just wanted to ask you something." he said. Oh my gosh, was he going to ask me out? I thought.

Chapter 2
Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

When Andrew and I walked into class, all the other students turned around from their desks and stared. "Kaylee Parker and Andrew Stevens?" The male teacher asked sternly. I quietly nodded and Andrew replied, "Yes sir.". "You are both late. But you're lucky it's the first day of school, otherwise I would give you detentions. Don't let this happen again. Have a seat." The teacher said, sitting down at his desk. The students continued to look at us as we sat down. I took a seat next to a pretty blonde girl with brown eyes like mine, and Andrew sat in front of me. "Okay everyone, let's get started. I'm your history teacher Mr. Clarke, and welcome to Riverview High school. I need someone to hand out your textbooks, and turn to page 17." Mr. Clarke said.

After that boring period and class was over, everyone headed to their lockers to get their things for next period. Andrew's locker was across from mine, and I spotted him talking to the blonde girl who I sat next to. I ran to my art class, which I had next, and met up with my friend Heather there. "Hey! How was your first class?" she asked. "It was pretty boring, how about you?" I replied. "It was good, actually. I like the science teacher Ms. Hills." Heather smiled. We walked into art class and I scanned the room for Andrew or the blonde girl, but they were nowhere in sight. I hoped Andrew didn't think I was weird or something, because I think I'm starting to like him.

Art turned out to be the best class of the day. Well unless you considered lunch a class, because that was definitely the most interesting. People had food fights and Lily, Heather, Sam and I talked the whole time about our teachers and any cute boys we saw. But I didn't mention Andrew. On the bus home, I took out the white bead necklace Lily got me out of my backpack, and put it on. Lily and I listened to music from her iPod as well, and I hugged her good-bye when it was her stop.

I walked into my house to the smell of delicious food my mom was cooking. My sister Marilyn was watching TV and my dad was at work. After we had dinner, I decided to take my beagle puppy Buddy for a walk. It was dusk, but still warm outside, so I changed into a tank top and sweatpants, and pulled my hair up into a messy bun. I didn't expect to see anyone outside- but suddenly, from a distance, I could see Andrew walking to me.

I got excited, and started walking faster. Then I saw the blonde girl walk up behind him, smiling. I stopped walking, and turned the other way. But they soon caught up to me. "Hey Kaylee." Andrew said. "Hi." I said, looking down. "Jodie, this is Kaylee, and Kaylee this is Jodie." He said, introducing me to the blonde girl. "Nice meeting you." I said. "Can I pet your dog?" She asked. "Um.. I better get going, bye." I quickly said. I did not want that girl touching my little Buddy. As I walked away,  I could hear Jodie whispering to Andrew, "Wow, that girl has a rude attitude. Let's go." Andrew didn't say anything, but he did turn around and look at me.

Chapter 1
Story name unknown; by xwittystoriesx

I looked at myself in the mirror. It was the first day of school, and after 2 months of doing nothing all summer vacation, I was actually looking forward to it. My shoulder length light brown hair was all natural today, and I was wearing ripped jeans with a blue hollister shirt. My name's Kaylee. I'm 14 years old, and starting my first year of high school in my hometown near Toronto in Canada. I have a little sister named Marilyn, and two loving parents. I'm the type of girl who doesn't fry her hair with a straightener every morning, and I hardly ever wear makeup. I have lots of friends though, I'm not unpopular. I want to prove to other girls that going natural once in a while shows your true beauty.

I walked out the door, kissing my family good-bye and heading to the bus stop. I was the only one there, but the bus came quickly. I sat next to one of my bestfriends Lily when I got on the bus, and we started chatting right away. "Hey Kaylee! How was your summer? I missed you so much!" she said when I sat down. "It was alright, but this year we didn't go on vacation so it wasn't as fun. How about you? And I know! I missed you too!" I replied. "I went to Cuba with my parents. Oh! I got you this." Lily said, handing me a beautiful white bead necklace. I thanked and hugged her, and before we knew it, we arrived at school.

Lily and I rushed to find our other friends Heather and Sam and we all talked about what we did during the summer, before the bell rang.  We walked inside the high school, and I looked around. This was my first year at high school, and I found everything so big and a little scary. I found my new locker next to Lily and organized all my new books in it. Then we separated to our first classes. I looked around at people who passed me, and then tripped. Great, my first day of high school, and I already embarrassed myself. The books I was holding flew out of my hands and hit a boy in the back. He turned around at looked at me funny. "Oh! I'm sorry! I tripped and .. and.. umm.." I stopped talking and looked at him. He had dirty blonde hair and sparkling hazel eyes. He was really cute. "Oh, um, and my books just flew out out my hands, I guess." I blushed and felt really stupid. "It's okay." The boy smiled. "My name is Kaylee, by the way." I said as I picked up my books. "Oh, my name is Andrew. Hey, um, do you know where the history class is?" He said looking right at me. "I have that class too. I'm not sure, I think its over here somewhere. " I replied, looking around. Andrew laughed. "Let's go, before we're late." He said, as I followed him.
