chapter 24
I turned around and saw Brett standing there. "What the heck Brett!" I screamed at him."Look im sorry i had to do that but i really needed to talk to you"he said looking to the floor. " Yeah and hey Tasha i need to talk to you wouldnt have worked?" I spat. I looked at his face and instantly felt bad I  mean i didnt mean to be that mean to him but i had to take my anger out on somebody other than myself for once. " whatever bye" I said walking away.
After i left Brett i found the others and we went home. I walked into my room and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
I was running and I couldnt stop. Something or someone was chasing me. Itripped over a rock and fell on my face. I heard someone laugh evilly. I looked up to see my mother and father standing over me grinning. " Welcome home Tasha" my mother said. Istarted crwling away from them but I couldnt get away. " Stop please dont hurt me" I cried. They laughed at me then took the knife from behind them. " Now say goodnight honey" my father said. "pl-please dont do this" i plead. " Were just finishing what we started." my mother said while raising the knife. I closed my eyes as i felt the cold metal plunge into my side.
I shot awake with tears streaming down my face and Tanner ran into my room." Tasha are you okay why were you screaming" He said while panting. " Yeah im fine just tired." I said before falling into a dreamless sleep.
Tanners point of view
When we got home Tasha went to her room and i started playing COD. While i was playing i kept thinkning about Tasha. She seemed so distant and cold. Like she was hiding something from all of us. Her eyes never shined and she never really looked anyone in the eye. She used to be so happy and now no one can get near her without her flinching or tensing. All because of those filthy people we had to call our parents. I snapped out of my thoughts when i heard screaming. I ran up the stairs to Tasha's room where the screaming was coming from. Just as i opened the door she woke up. " Tasha are you okay why were you screaming?" I asked ou of breath. " Yeah im fine im just tired." she said before falling back asleep. I walked out the door and went into Haydens room. I saw Brian and Hayden together. " Guys somethings wrong with Tasha and I need your help to figure it out" I stated. They both looked at me shocked before finally agreeing. I walked closer to them to tell them my plan.

chapter 23

Its been 3 weeks since everythings happened and Tanner has been watching me like a hawk. I was lying in my bed when I felt someones eyes on me. " Tanner what do you want." I muttered. I heard him sigh. " Tash we have to go back to school in 3 days and we need to go back to school shopping" he said standing up. " I dont want to go" As I said this I heard 2 more people walk into my room. " Cant you just leave me alone!" I yelled throwing a people randomly into the air. " Tasha were making you go the easy way or the hard way doesnt matter to us." said an all to familiar voice. " Brett?" I was so confused what is he doing here? " Yes Tasha thats Brett now upsy daisy" Said another familiar voice. Finally I rolled over to find Jace, Brett, and Tanner looking at me expectantly. " Fine Ill go" I said gettting out of bed. I pushed them out of my room and got changed. I walked down the stairs and saw everyone waiting for me. " Ready?" I asked. They all nodded their heads and got up. We got to the store and started walking around. I got split up from everyone else and had no idea where i was going. Suddenly I was knocked to the floor. " Oh my gosh I am soo sorry!" Someone said while helping me up. " No problem it was my fault i wasnt looking where i was going." I looked at the person and relized it was Teagan. " Teagan!" i screamed. " Tasha!" We hugged eachother and started catching up. " Hey i gotta go but it was good seeing you again" She said while walking away. Just then my phone went off.

What the heck? I started running to find everyone when my phone went off again.
unknown: Dont tell anyone about this I mean you dont want Ashley to have to pay do you?
Now I really started freaking out. What was this person going to do to Ashley? I ran faster this time until I bumped into someone. I nearly screamed until they covered my mouth and dragged to a different aisle.



Sorry guys for not writing just had alot on my mind but i thought you deserved at least something.... I know its kind of boring now but it will pick up soon thanks guys <3

chapter 22

"Hey Tasha" John said giving a perfectly crooked smile. " You two know eachother?" Hayden asked. " Yeah we were on the plane together" John answered. " oh" Hayden said. " Giys im starving lets go eat!" Teagan complained. We all laughed and went inside. We sat down and started eating. " Is that all for you?" John asked teasingly. I laughed with him and punched him playfully but inside i was dying. We left a little later after Teagan, Sarah, and Cam gave me their numbers. " Bye guys!" I yelled to them while walking away. " Tasha are you okay?" Hayden asked. " Um yeah im fine thanks" I started walking a little faster so he would stop questioning me. O f course that caused him to be more suspicious. He run next to me and grabbed my arm.I flinched away and started running. I was not going to let him find out ever. I got to the house and run up the stairs. I saw Brian on the way but kept running. " Tasha whats-" Thats all i heard before i slammed my door. I started crying what else can i do. I finally felt like people liked me but i had just had to eat so much." stupid stupid stupid" I muttered to myself. I walked into my bathroom and leaned over the toilet. I threw up everything i had eaten and took out my razor blade. Before i had a chance to do anything the door burst open. " Hey Tasha Hayden called and aske me to- what are you doing?" Crap it was Brett. " Um hey Brett" He walked over to me and slapped the blade that hasd been dangling above my wrist. " Hey!" I yelled. " Tasha dont you understand what your doing to yourself!" He yelled back at me.I heard footsteps running down the hallway to my room. " Do you understand what your doing to me!" I screamed. " You killed the last thing that could ever help me live!" I started running out of breath and started getting lightheaded.Brett helped me sit down. I looked up and saw my brothers standing there. I saw something i had never seen in their eyes before. It made me want to die seeing them like that and i had caused it. Tears started rolling down my cheek as they ran up and hugged me. " Tasha please dont do this we love you" Tanner said tears forming in his eyes. " I promise ill never do it again." This is the one promise i really wish i could keep.

chapter 21

" Hey Brett I was just here with my little cousin" I said starting to back away. I was hoping they wouldnt notice but of course they did. " Tash where are you going?" Jace said giving me a worried look. Why do people keep giving me those looks? "I have to go find Ashley bye" I said and started to run. I heard footsteps following me so i started running faster and faster until i trip over someones foot. " crap" i muttered. Finally the footsteps stopped and i looked up it was Brett. He helped me up. " Why did you run away from us?" He asked looking really worried. I thought back to the time in California when i was cold and no one could break the wall i put up. Here though they broke it, they made the ice inside me melt and i didnt likeit at all. For the first time since i met him i looked him in the eye. The ice inside me started to build again. " Why do you care" I spat at him. He looked shocked at how my voice changed but held his ground. " Tash im just worried-" I cut him off " Dont call me Tash only friends can call me that and stop worrying about me! Im tired of it alright just stop" I gave him a look that dared him to start talking. He got the message and stayed quiet. " Just do me a favor and leave me alone!" I screamed at him and stormed off. I found Ashley eventually and we walked home. I walked into the tv room when we got home and i saw Tanner sitting there. " Hey Tasha" He said without looking away from the tv. " Hey" I laughed at him. This was the Tanner i know and love, the Tanner thats been here the past few weeks was a Tanner i was scared off. That Tanner reminded me of our father. " hello earth to Tasha" Tanner laughed while waving his hand infront of my face. " What sorry" He laughed again" I said were going to get pizza wanna come?" I smiled " sure"
2 hours later
We walked to the pizza place down the block and met Haydens friends. " Thats Teagan" He pointed to a girl with blonde hair and viloet eyes. I smiled at her. " Hey Tasha its nice to meet you" She smiled at me then hugged me. Teagan and I hit it off right away. " Thats Sarah" Hayden pointed to a girl with reddish blonde hair and blue eyes. " Hi Tasha" she smiled at me. She hugged me too. " That's Cam" He pointed to a guy with shaggy blonde hair and green eyes. He smiled at me I smiled back. " Hey Tasha nice to meet you." Cam said. " You too" Hayden made a disgusted face then pointed to the last guy " Thats John" He pointed to a face i knew all to well. " Wait John?" I said confused.

chapter 20

I turned around quickly. " What do you want?" I asked annoyed. He stopped surprised i talked to him. He turned around to see if i was actually talking to him. I sighed " Yes im talking to you stupid you are the one following me" He looked embarrased but that faded quickly. " Look Tasha there's something wrong with you-" After i heard that i flashed back to when i was 7 and my dad was teaching me to roller skate

" daddy im going to fall" i screamed terrified. He laughed " you will be fine cupcake just roll" he answered back. I started rolling down the street but i couldnt stop " daddy HELP ME!" I screamed. I heard him running after me but he was too late i already was in the middle of the road and a car was coming right for me. I heard my dad screaming in the distance but I was frozen, i couldnt move. Within seconds metal crashed into my tiny body and i fell backwards. The screaming was getting closer but my vision started dotting. "Tasha hang in there sweety" I heard my dad say. " Whats wrong with you!" I heard the driver scream at my dad. They got into an arguement before they remembered I was on the ground almost fully unconcsious. " Tasha my beautiful girl I love you please please stay with me" My dad whispered in my ear before i passed out.

That was the last time my father was nice to me. After that he kept calling me a fat pig and telling me how ugly i am, truth is i still believe it. " Tasha!" Jace screamed. I jumped backwards finally realizing he had been talking. " What sorry" i looked to the ground expecting him to hit me. Instead he hugged me. " Tasha I dont know why you're so scared of me but i promise you i will change that" He said while he smiled. " Jace!" someone yelled. We both turned around startled. It was Brett. " oh hey Tasha what are you doing here?" He asked me panting.

chapter 19

  "I have awarded custody of Brian Mitchell Rivers, Tanner John Rivers, and Tasha Marie Rivers to.........." the judge started to say when a note came in. " excuse me" he said while he read the note. When he finished he looked up " Now my decision was and still is final, The custody of these children go to Mike Rivers" We all jumped for joy. " I can't believe! Were finally free!" i yelled. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the judge smile at me I knew he saw through my parents acts. Brian and Tanner hugged me. We walked out of the court house together and drove to our new home. We walked into the house and told Hayden the news. " I knew it!" he ran up and hugged me. I started laughing. " haha yeah I guess were finally home" He smiled at me and Ashley came running down the stairs. " Your staying here right?!" she asked worried and excited at the same time. I laughed " Yeah Ashy I am" She smiled her huge smile " Does that mean you can take me to the lake." " Sure does you ready to go now?" I asked. " Yupperoni." She said running out the door. " Bye guys" I called out to my brothers while walking out the door. They waved goodbye and I started running to catch Ashley.
10 minutes later~
We got to the lake and Ashley went in immediately. I had just sat down when a boy a little older than me came over. " Hey Tasha" he said. " Umm hi?" who was this kid? He started laughing " haha you don't remember im Jace" Jace said. " Oh right hey Jace" I said lying down. He lay down next to me and kept poking me. " Stop poking me!" I yelled at him. " Make me" He stuck his tongue out at me and kept poking my stomach. I flashed back  to where my father had called me an ugly fat pig. I quickly inched my way away from him. He frowned " whats wrong?" he asked concern written on his face. " Nothing" i answered plainly. He scooted closer to me. He lifted my face up to look at him. " Will you be honest with me" he asked. I sighed..... how could I trust a boy i just met when I couldn't even tell my own brothers. " I-i guess I could try to be" I said looking down again. " Stop doing that" He put his finger under my chin and lifted my face up. " Doing what?" I started playing with the sand." That" He started "you try to avoid all contact with me and you wont look me in the eye and when you do you look terrified of me" He lifted his arm and I instinctively flinched away from him. " I think I should go" I got up and went to find Ashley. The whole time i could hear footsteps following mine.

chapter 19

We got to the courthouse within a half hour but as soon as we got there i saw them. The things that ruined my life. The things that made me scared of life. Tanner must have noticed my expression because he pulled me away from the window until those things dissapeared. "Tasha i know its scary but please stay strong." he whispered in my ear. I was frozen but i nodded my head in agreement. We walked into the courthouse and into the hearing. The first person called to the stands was my mother. " I didnt mean to hurt her i loved her i still love her i have changed Tasha please believe me!" She started sobbing but i couldnt care any less. I just hope the judge sees through her act. The next perosn called up was Brian. " When did you notice something was wrong?" The attorny asked. " When my parents when on vacation." he answered. " What made you think something was wrong?" he asked. " Whenever my brother or me went near her she would flinch away and avoid pyshcial contact then i noticed the make up on her arm and saw the bruises." Brian looked right at me and i saw the guilt in his eyes. " No more questions your honor" Finally i was called up." How long had this been going on?" he asked me. " since i was around 7 or 8" i answered looking down. " Can you explain what happened the night you went home." he asked me again. " Well as soon as my brothers left my parents came into my room and beat me until every part of my body went numb." I winced at the memory but continued." I woke up in the middle of the night to my parents walking into my room, they had a knife with them. They took turns carving my skin with the knife" When i said this i swear i saw the judge grimance." I still have the cuts from the blade and i had to go to the hospital for an infection the blade caused me." I finally finished and i felt tears welling up in my eyes. I looked at my parents for the first time today and saw a sly smirk on their faces telling me they were in no way sorry for what they did to me.
1 hour later~
My brothers and i had been sitting outside the courtroom for almost one hour. My mind kept flashing back to the night where they cut me until my thoughts were interrupted by a voice.
" Excuse me but the judge has come to the final decision and would like you in there." they said and walked away. " Alright guys this is it we either stay here in paradise our back to our own perosnal h**l." Tanner said as we walked back into the courtroom. " Now that were all here" the judge started " I have made my decision final... and i have awarded custody of Brian Mitchell Rivers, Tanner John Rivers, and Tasha Marie Rivers to.........."

Chapter 18

I woke up hours later in my bed. I instantly remembered the conversation the guys had. I started getting really worried and decided to go for a walk. I changed into my swimsuit grabbed my phone and walked out the door. I got to the lake within 10 minutes. I walked onto the sand only to hear " Heads up!" I looked up and saw a football headed straight for me. I smiled to myself and caught the ball. Suddenly a guy ran up to me. " Oh my gosh i am so sorry!" I laughed" Its fine im used to having balls thrown at me by random guys." He smiled the cutest smile i have ever seen. " Alright then im Jace who are you i havent seen you around here before." he asked. " Im new my names Tasha" all of a sudden its like a lightbulb went off in his head. "So your the girl Brett was talking about." I smiled " uhh yeah i guess" " Well you're even cuter in person want to go get some ice cream?" he asked. " No thanks im just going to sit down." He frowned" Are you sure? No other girl has ever rejected me before." Now it was my turn to forwn. " Oh i see i know your type you think you can get any girl you want.... well i dont want you so just go back to your friends." I started walking away when he grabbed my arm. I flinched slightly but turned around. "what" I asked annoyed. " Will you atleast give me your number so i can try to make this up to you?" " Alright whatever" after i gave him my number he finally walked away. I just layed down when my phone beeped. " Ughh what now!" I muttered to myself.

Tasha we all need to go to court where are you Brians going to pick you up.

why do i have to go i hate them i never want to see them again ever!
Ten seconds later he replied

Tasha you can help the judge decide to not give them custody of you
I sighed
Alright im at the lake
Brian picked me up 5 minutes later and drove home. " Brian i dont want to go back" I said close to crying. " I know sis i know" I could tell he wanted to cry but didnt want me to see it. I sighed and looked out he window. We got home i changed and we were on the road again. Well i guess this is it I thought to myself. This may be the end of my life.
