Chapter 24
Autumn's POV
I must have fallen asleep, because I woke up and the sun was shining.
I checked my phone and I had two text messages from Nick.
Nick: I'm back. wanna call me?
Nick: autumn? lol
"Whoops," I whispered to myself.
I texted Nick and told him I fell asleep.
I walked downstairs and saw my mom on the phone.
"Morning mother," I smiled.
"Morning Autumn," She said.
I went to the kitchen and got out Poptarts and sat on the couch.
I turned on cartoons, and checked my phone. No texts.
I sighed, then went back up to my room when I was finished eating.
I called Nick, and he answered.
"Hello?" He said.
"Hi," I said.
"Hey baby," He said.
"What are we going to do today?" I said.
"Well I have a basketball tournament..." He said.
"Oh, that's fine," I said.
"Sorry, and It starts at 1:00, do you want to come?" He asked.
"No, I think I'm going to hang out with Kaylee today," I said.
"Alright babe, well listen, text me, I have to go," He said.
"Bye, love you," I said.
"Love you too," He laughed.
I hung up and got in the shower, feeling the coolness hit my hair.
I started feeling cramps, and swore under my breath.
When I was finished in the shower, I remembered, yes, it's that time of the month.
GREAT. I thought.
I went to my room, put on underwear and walked to the bathroom.
I got my period, I sighed.
I put on a tampon, and walked back to my room.
It was supposed to be cold today, so I decided to wear Jeans, a grey shirt,
my ring, earrings, and my Ugg moccasins.

Autumn's POV
After the movie, we walked outside of the movie theater, and sat on a bench.
I looked up at the stars and leaned my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around me.
"I love you," He whispered in my ear.
I got butterflies in my stomach.
"Never forget it. I love you too," I said.
He held my hand and said, "Let's go back to my car."
"Okay," I said.
When we walked around the corner of the movie theater, Nick ran into someone.
Logan and Jessica, holding hands, together.
I stared both of them down.
Jessica smiled, "Hey, Nick."
"Hi Jess," He said.
"Autumn, Nick, this is Logan," She smiled.
"We've met," I glanced at Logan, giving him a disgusted look.
"..Oh um okay," She said nervously.
"Let's go," I pulled Nick along.
I didn't know whether to take that as a good thing or a bad thing!
If they were on a date, Jessica would get away from my boyfriend.
But, that means Logan is over me. I still had feelings for him, but I didn't love him.
Why does life have to be so confusing!?
"Woah there baby," Nick laughed.
"I hate both of them," I sighed.
"Why Jessica...?" Nick looked seriously.
"She.. she was trying to steal you from me," I said, a tear forming in my eye.
He looked me straight in the eye and wiped my tear away. He put his hand on my cheek.
"Autumn, listen to me. No one will ever take me away from you,
I'm never leaving, no matter what. I love you." He smiled.
I kissed him and put my hands on his shoulder.
I was leaning against his car bumper, and he stopped kissing me and smiled.
We got in the car and I was texting Kaylee.
Me: he's the one.
Kaylee: ....??
Me: nick! :) i love him. <3
Kaylee: aw girl that's so sweeet. what happened?
Me: tell youu laterrrr. gotta go. byees! :]
Kaylee: k see ya gherll.
I looked over at Nick and smiled.
We pulled up to my driveway, and he walked me to my door.
"Thanks for taking me to the movies," I blushed.
"It's alright," He winked.
He gave me a tight squeeze.
He kissed me on the forehead and said, "Text me when your in bed?"
"Okay. I love you," I said.
"I love you too, bye baby," He smiled.
He got back in his car and drove home.
I walked in the front door and saw my mom making something in the kitchen.
"Mom, what could you possibly be making at 10:30 at night!?" I joked.
"Oh, nothing but brownies," She winked at me.
"You're crazy. I'm gonna go take a shower," I laughed.
I walked upstairs and hopped in the shower.
I wiped off my makeup and got in sweatpants and my dad's old T-shirt.
It smelled exactly like he did, and I smiled.
I heard my mom walking up the steps.
She cracked open my door and said, "Goodnight sweetheart, see you in the morning,"
"Night mom, love you," I said.
She smiled and closed my door.
I turned on the movie, 'The Blind Side' until I fell asleep.
I texted Nick, 'Hey:)'
Nick: Helllo <3
Autumn: Are you home?
Nick: Yep, brb I'm going to get in the shower.
Autumn: okay
I put my phone down on my nightstand and watched the movie.

Nick's POV
Autumn's mom answered the door and said hello.
I walked upstairs and knocked on Autumn's bedroom door.
I opened it, and she was sitting on her bed.
"Hey!" She said.
She walked over and kissed me on the lips.
I smiled and said, "Hey baby."
"Ready to go?" She said.
"Ready Freddy," I laughed.
I held her hand and she had the most gorgeous dress and heels on, she looked beautiful.

We walked downstairs and her mom said, "Bye guys, have fun!"
I smiled at her, and we walked out the door.
I had just gotten my driver's license, so we got in my car, and drove to the Cinema.
We were going to see 'Final Destination 5'.
The whole way there we laughed, talking about random things.
I always seemed happier when I was around her.
When we got to the movie theater, we bought tickets, and got in line for popcorn.
Autumn's POV
"I'll buy it," I giggled.
"No, babe, I got it," He laughed.
I giggled, "Whatever."
We got a large popcorn and a soda.
"That's REALLY big..." I laughed.
"Eh, oh well," He smiled.
We went in and sat at the very top row.
The commercials took forever!
We were holding hands, and I was on my phone, on Facebook.
I updated my status as: Movies with Nick, Muahhh<333
Nick laughed, and I playfully punched him because he saw me write it.
The movie started to come on, and we were holding hands the whole time.
We ate popcorn, and the movie was not scary.
I sometimes acted scared, though, just so Nick would hold me.
He put his arm around me, and I giggled.
"Be right back, I have to go to the bathroom," He smiled.
"Don't be too long, I might get too scared," I winked.
He laughed, and walked to the bathroom.
I watched the movie, and I saw a familiar head two rows down from us.
It was Lucas, and he was with some brown-haired girl.
I think her name was Tiffany, I knew her from school.
I didn't feel the least bit jealous.
I smiled, proud of myself.
I saw Nick come back, and I smiled.
When he sat down, I burried my head in his chest, pretending he be scared.
He laughed, and kissed the top of my head.

Autumn's POV
Next thing I knew, he planted a soft kiss on my lips.
I kissed him back, then went and sat on his lap.
I rested my head on his shoulder and he kissed my head.
"Autumn I love you, so much. Never let me go." He breathed against my neck.
"Never, ever." I smiled. I kissed him, and they got more forceful every time.
We stopped, and he came back for one more quick kiss.
"Hey Nick?" I smiled.
I lied down on the grass, on my back.
I looked up at the clouds and saw him lay next to me.
"Yes babe?" He laughed.
"Hmm, how long did you like me?" I giggled.
"Ever since I saw you in that pink dress in second grade." He smiled.
"Ew, that pink dress was horrible." I winked at him.
"Hahaha you're so funny." He laughed.
"But Nick.. What are we going to do about.. you know." I said.
"What?" He said.
"L-logan." I bit my lip.
"What about him?" He said.
"Nevermind." I said.
"You're not over him are you?" His voice got softer and he seemed upset.
"I just.. I am. But Nick, I'm afraid he's not over me, and I just, don't want to ruin things with you."I said.
"I know. Me either." He said.
We both got up and went inside his house.
"Everything's good?" His mom laughed.
"Perfect." I giggled.
We walked into his room and we sat on the bed.
"My mom's home." I smiled.
"Aw, good! Did you tell her about us?" He said.
"Yeah, yeah I did." I smiled. "I also told her you-know-who is back." I swallowed.
"Why?" He said.
"Dude, my mom loved that kid. Haha." I said.
"Oh." He said.
"She loves you too." I winked.
He winked back, and leaned in for a kiss.
I lied down on his bed, and he climbed on top of me, kissing me.
I felt his tongue slide into my mouth, and I did the same.
He smiled while we were kissing, which made me laugh a little.
"Knock, knock!" We heard.
"Oh my god." I whispered.
My shirt was half up, as was Nick's.
She opened the door, and saw my hair all messy, and our shirts.
"Excuse me?" She said, seriously.
"U-uh.." I choked on the air.
"Mom.." He said.
"Get out!" She pointed out of Nick's room.
I pulled my shirt down and ran outside of Nick's house.
What just happened?
I walked slowly, feeling so embarrassed, and dirty.
All we were doing is kissing, she didn't have to make it such a big deal!
I wondered if she even liked me!
Then, I ran into someone.
It knocked me onto the sidewalk, and i hit my elbow, hard.
"Oww!" I screamed.
I opened my eyes, and saw who it was.
Logan.
"Sorry." He smiled. He reached his hand out to help me up.
I grabbed it and stood up.
"It's okay." I said.
I walked around him, and kept walking, faster.
"Wait! Autumn?" He screamed.
I stopped, and turned around.
"Do you even remember me?" He said.
"Me? Remember you? Yeah. Mr. Silvius, leaving me, my first love. How could I not." I said sarcastically.
"Autumn.. It wasn't my fault!" He yelled.
I walked closer to him.
"Wasn't your fault!? Maybe the moving part. We never had to break up, though. YOU decided that. NOT me. Don't even try to blame this on me." I fought back.
"Babe..I'm sorry." He said, a tear falling down his face.
I paused, for about 30 seconds and thought about what we had together, and what to say.
"Don't call me that." I said, feeling the ball in my throat. I turned around, and walked away.
Hey girls! Sorry I haven't written in forever! School just started.. and I have to stick with my school work. I am trying to write as much as I can now. <3 I even can't wait to see what will happen next, because as you may not know, and I think of this as I write it.

Autumn's POV
After class, I went to my locker, packed up, and walked out the door.
Nobody saw me, the security guard was on break.
I walked to my house and my mom was home!
I ran to the door, and gave her a big hug.
"Mom!" I screamed.
"Hi honey!" She said.
"How was your trip?" I said.
"Fantastic, but busy!" She smiled.
"That's good I guess." I said.
"Aren't you supposed to be at school sweetie..." She said.
"Yes mom, can we please talk?" I bit my lip.
I could tell my mom anything.
We sat down on the couch, and I threw down my backpack.
"What is it hun?" She said.
"Mom remember Logan?" I said.
"Yes sweetie, why?" She said.
"He is back in town." I said.
"Oh sweetie, that's great!" She said.
"No mom, It's not." I bit my lip. "You see, me and Nick started dating the day after you left.
And we went to the park one day.. and I saw Logan. I did not want to see him because he broke my heart.
So I ran.. all the way home, in tears. Ever since, Nick won't talk to me.
He wasn't talking to me in school, so that's why I left." I said.
She stared at me.
"Is Logan moving back ?" She said.
"I don't know. He might be." I said.
"Did you talk to Logan ever since that night?" She asked.
"Nope." I said.
"Hmm.. well I think you should go with your heart.
If Nick doesn't forgive you for that.. then obviously he
doesn't care. But I think he will Autumn, don't worry." She smiled.
"Okay mom." I smiled and hugged her.
I went to my room, and texted Nick: Can we talk? Text me after school.
I then fell asleep.

I woke up at 4:00 P.M. and checked my phone. No new messages.
I got so mad because I knew Nick was ignoring my texts.
I then decided I was going to walk to his house.
I brushed my hair and put on some makeup.
I went downstairs and mom was on the phone.
"I'm going.. for a walk." I spit out.
"Okay." She said.
I put on a pair of sneakers and walked out the front door.
I walked across the street, to the left, turned right, crossed again and stepped up to Nick's driveway.
I walked up his steps, took a deep breath, then rang the doorbell.
His mother opened the door.
"Hi Autumn." She smiled.
"Hello," I smiled, "Can Nick come outside?" I said,
"Be right back." She smiled.
I waited there, and saw Nick in the kitchen, on the other side of the hallway.
He stopped, and looked at me, and I gave him a half-smile.
He sighed, and walked outside, closing the door behind him.
"If we're gonna talk, let's go somewhere else." He said.
He walked down the steps, and I followed.
He walked to the side of his house, and sat down against the house.
I sat next to him, and I looked over at him.
I looked down at the ground when his eyes met mine.
I sighed, and finally spit it out.
"Nick, I'm sorry for running away. You wouldn't understand." I said looking at the ground.
He looked to his left, and said, "It's okay. But why did you run?" He said, swallowing.
"Logan. He was Logan. My first love.." I trailed off, telling him the whole story.
"Do you still love him?" He asked me.
"Do I? I really don't know, Nick."
"Oh." He said.
"But I do know one thing." I said.
"And that is?" He said.
"I love you." I said.

After class, I went to my locker, packed up, and walked out the door.
Nobody saw me, the security guard was on break.
I walked to my house and my mom was home!
I ran to the door, and gave her a big hug.
"Mom!" I screamed.
"Hi honey!" She said.
"How was your trip?" I said.
"Fantastic, but busy!" She smiled.
"That's good I guess." I said.
"Aren't you supposed to be at school sweetie..." She said.
"Yes mom, can we please talk?" I bit my lip.
I could tell my mom anything.
We sat down on the couch, and I threw down my backpack.
"What is it hun?" She said.
"Mom remember Logan?" I said.
"Yes sweetie, why?" She said.
"He is back in town." I said.
"Oh sweetie, that's great!" She said.
"No mom, It's not." I bit my lip. "You see, me and Nick started dating the day after you left.
And we went to the park one day.. and I saw Logan. I did not want to see him because he broke my heart.
So I ran.. all the way home, in tears. Ever since, Nick won't talk to me.
He wasn't talking to me in school, so that's why I left." I said.
She stared at me.
"Is Logan moving back ?" She said.
"I don't know. He might be." I said.
"Did you talk to Logan ever since that night?" She asked.
"Nope." I said.
"Hmm.. well I think you should go with your heart.
If Nick doesn't forgive you for that.. then obviously he
doesn't care. But I think he will Autumn, don't worry." She smiled.
"Okay mom." I smiled and hugged her.
I went to my room, and texted Nick: Can we talk? Text me after school.
I then fell asleep.

I woke up at 4:00 P.M. and checked my phone. No new messages.
I got so mad because I knew Nick was ignoring my texts.
I then decided I was going to walk to his house.
I brushed my hair and put on some makeup.
I went downstairs and mom was on the phone.
"I'm going.. for a walk." I spit out.
"Okay." She said.
I put on a pair of sneakers and walked out the front door.
I walked across the street, to the left, turned right, crossed again and stepped up to Nick's driveway.
I walked up his steps, took a deep breath, then rang the doorbell.
His mother opened the door.
"Hi Autumn." She smiled.
"Hello," I smiled, "Can Nick come outside?" I said,
"Be right back." She smiled.
I waited there, and saw Nick in the kitchen, on the other side of the hallway.
He stopped, and looked at me, and I gave him a half-smile.
He sighed, and walked outside, closing the door behind him.
"If we're gonna talk, let's go somewhere else." He said.
He walked down the steps, and I followed.
He walked to the side of his house, and sat down against the house.
I sat next to him, and I looked over at him.
I looked down at the ground when his eyes met mine.
I sighed, and finally spit it out.
"Nick, I'm sorry for running away. You wouldn't understand." I said looking at the ground.
He looked to his left, and said, "It's okay. But why did you run?" He said, swallowing.
"Logan. He was Logan. My first love.." I trailed off, telling him the whole story.
"Do you still love him?" He asked me.
"Do I? I really don't know, Nick."
"Oh." He said.
"But I do know one thing." I said.
"And that is?" He said.
"I love you." I said.

Chapter 18
Autumn's POV
No. It can't be him.
"Autumn?" Nick said.
I stood at the edge staring at Logan.
Logan. The name ran through my mind a million times.
Logan. He was my first love. Logan.
I did not want to run into him right now.
Logan and I were dating for 3 years, he was my first and only boyfriend, other than Nick.
He then had to transfer schools.
We tried making long distance work, but it couldn't.
I knew I could trust him, but I couldn't see him, so we had to go our own ways.
"Autumn, is that you?" Logan said, coming towards me.
I felt tears forming in my eyes.
I turned around, and ran.
I ran as far as I could.
I didn't even notice that I passed my house.
I had to stop, and gasp for air.
I turned around, and walked back to my house.
I sat on the porch steps, and buried my head into my hands and knees.
Seeing this boy, made me wonder why he was here.
Was he moving back? Was he visiting?
What if he was moving back? That would ruin my relationship. No! He can't be moving back.
I don't want to see him. I could still be in love with him. No! I'm in love with Nick.
Thoughts were running through my mind like crazy. I stood up and went inside the house.
It was now dark, and Nick was probably mad at me for running away from him like that.
I checked my phone: 2 missed calls. 1 text message.
Nick called once, the other was from Kaylee.
The text was from Josh: yo autumn, logan's back in town. might be moving back, he doesnt know yet. just letting you know. :]
OH MY GOD. I thought.
I went upstairs, and got in the shower. A nice, cool shower.
I thought about my day, how to it went to bad, to spectacular, to even worse.
Logan Silvius. He was back.
When I got out of the shower, I wrapped my hair in a towel & walked to my room.
I changed into pajama shorts, and a long t-shirt that used to be my daddy's.
I brushed my teeth, went back into my room, and turned on the tv.
I texted Josh back: Yeah. I figured that out. Just who I wanted to see... :/
Josh never texted me back, he was probably too busy.
Next thing I knew, I drifted to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up at 5:00, before my alarm had even went off. Too early!
Probably because I fell asleep so early last night!
I decided to just get up, then I wouldn't be rushed with getting ready.
I didn't feel like taking a shower, since I took one last night.
I went to the bathroom, and straightened my hair. That took about an hour because I did it really good.
I went to my room, and picked out an outfit.
No. Ugly. Wore that a couple of days ago. Ew. Too colorful.
I finally picked out a blue shirt with a heart, aero shorts, and white nikes.
I added sunglasses and a bracelet with it.

Autumn's POV
When I went inside, I did my homework and then got in the shower.
It was nice and cold, the way I liked it.
I usually take showers to clear my mind of thoughts, good ones and bad ones.
And to get clean, of course. I caught myself giggling.
But doesn't everybody?
I wrapped myself in a towel and walked across the hallway to my room.
I changed into a pink floral tank from Hollister, jean shorts, flip flops, and put on my favorite necklace
that my dad got my when I was 8.

I used the perfume that Nick liked most on me, vanilla sugar. I looked at the clock and it was 5:40.
To kill time, I called Kaylee.
"Hey Kaylz! What's up?" I said.
"I have a date with Nick soon!"
"I know hehehe."
"He did not! Oh my gosh!"
"Congrats girl, you and Josh are so cute!"
"Okay, bye."
She had told me that her and Josh are going out.. how ironic?!
I sprinted downstairs, seeing that it was 5:52.
Nick was already walking down the street, he was always early for everything.
I went and sat on the couch, texting, so it wouldn't look like I had been waiting for him.
I heard the doorbell ring, I took a deep breath, and answered it.
"Hi Nick." I smiled.
"Hey baby." He kissed me.
"Shall we go?" I said in a british accent.
He put his hands out, for me to go first.
We held hands on the way to the restaurant.
It was nothing fancy, we just went to Olive Garden.
It was just down the street from our development.
When we got to the restaurant, Nick held the door for me.
"2 please." Nick said.
"Booth okay?" The waitress said.
"That's fine." Nick said.
We sat down across from each other and talked about all of the memories from when we were little.
"Can I get you something to drink?" The waitress said.
"I'll have water." I said.
"I'll have a pepsi." Nick said.
She walked away, and I looked over at Nick.
"Nick, you know, I would have never expected us to be dating." I bit my lip.
"What's that supposed to mean..?" Nick said.
"I mean,. It's just.. I've never had a friend as close as you. Litterally. Me and Kaylee aren't even this close!"
I said.
He laughed and said the same thing to me.
We both ordered spaghetti and laughed away at our childhood.
The date was flying by pretty fast.
"Nick, would you ever go to a Justin Bieber concert with me?" I giggled.
"Maybe for you.. but I would have to think about that." He winked.
"Good, because he's in town. I wanna go." I blushed.
"Oh umm maybe." He laughed.
We finished eating, and Nick payed the bill.
In the parking lot, we ran into Liam, Nick's friend from football.
"Hey dude." He shouted.
"Oh! Liam, hey. Sup man?" Nick said, walking up to him.
"Nothing, meeting a girl here. Hows about you?" He winked.
"Here with my girl, Autumn." He smiled at me.
"Cute." He laughed sarcastically.
I laughed and shook my head sarcastically, also.
When we finally made it back to the development, we decided to go to the park nearby.
It was around 7:45 and it was just getting dark.
When we got to the park, someone I haven't seen in a while was there.
I stood at the edge of the park, staring at him.

Autumn's POV
After cheer practice, I was a complete mess. Is she trying to ruin my life?!
Jesus, it's like she was following me everywhere!
I walked out of the gym in black Soffe shorts & a red t-shirt resembling our school colors.
I went to my locker and gathered my backpack and homework, and walked to Nick's locker.
He wasn't there so I went outside of the school.
I saw him talking to Kaylee.
Kaylee saw me and quick stopped talking and smiled at me.
"What were you guys talking about that I couldn't hear?" I asked.
Nick bit his lip. "Babe, do you think I like Jessica? Because I promise you, I don't."
I smiled and planted a soft kiss on his lips. "Does that answer your question?" I giggled.
I held my backpack strap with my hand, while it was over one shoulder.
Nick held my hand as we walked home together.
"Remember when we were like 8 and you tripped over that
hose at my birthday party and fell into the tray of cupcakes?" Nick laughed.
I playfully punched him on the shoulder. "Yes! That was not funny." I smiled.
Nick laughed a tiny bit, and swallowed. It looked like he wanted to tell me something but wasn't sure.
"Autumn?" He said.
"What?" I looked up at him with a serious face.
"Did anything happen between you and Lucas?" I could feel the ball in my throat as he asked me.
I sighed and looked at the ground.
"It was at the party. I was mad because you pushed me, and wouldn't tell me what was wrong.
I drank a little bit, and we went into the bedroom. BUT Nick, we didn't do it." I truthfully said.
I told him exactly what happened and he closed his eyes and stopped walking.
I stopped walking, also, and stood in front of him, holding both of his hands.
I looked up at him and he opened his eyes.
I buried my head in his chest, and the smell of Axe filled my nostrils.
He was so warm, and I felt so safe.
He put his arms around my waist, while mine were around his neck.
He stroked the back of my head, and played with my hair.
I looked up at him and he kissed my forehead.
I smiled and said, "Are you okay?"
"Yes. It's just.. Do you still like him?"
"Nope.. I like someone else." I said.
He smiled.
"Why smile? It's not you." I said.
It looked like a tear filled his eye.
"I like Justin Bieber. I love you." I giggled.
"Don't scare me like that!" He laughed.
I blushed, and as we held hands on the way home, we swung our arms back and forth.
"You will always be my best friend, no matter what happens between us, right Nick?"
"I promise." He said without looking at me.
"Good." I smiled.
When we got to my house, he gave me a warm hug and said, "I'll walk here around 6, we can get dinner."
"Okay. You know my mom will be home from her business trip in a couple of days." I said.
"Good. You can tell her about us." He smiled, walking backwards out of my yard, onto the sidewalk.
