HOW TO MAKE A DECENT QUOTE
Try to
make it as original as possible.
Don't just take quotes people have seen 859687 times
from Tumblr or Facebook. Chances are, if you've seen
it more than twice, most other people have too. If you
are, however, copying quotes from Tumblr, at least search it to
check if it's not already on Witty. Post about something
funny that happened that day (as long as it's actually
funny and not just a joke between you and your friends), or a
quote that you thought of that has the
potential to inspire someone.
Don't continuously post One Direction
quotes
Especially not the ones we've all seen before, or
ridiculous facts that no one cares about. At least post lyrics
some people might actually consider inspirational?
Don't swear!
That one is pretty self-explanitory
Don't post lyrics that have been on here 1,000
times
I've seen the chorus from How to Save a Life by The Fray
about 8 or 9 times on here. Try original lyrics that most
people haven't picked up or is from a song not many of us
know about.
Give it a pretty format
Try to make your own format, or if you're not good at
coding, use someone else's! But make sure you give credit
to the creator if you know who it is.
Witty looks better colorful!
Think about everybody on this site before
posting
If you have a rude opinion, keep it to yourself. People
don't come on Witty to be insulted.
Make sure that it's Witty
worthy!
Read the rules and if your quote doesn't qualify,
please, don't post it. This is Steve's website, and if
he doesn't want it on here, then it shouldn't
be.
