Chapter 2:
For some reason I couldn’t think of how to put what I wanted to stay to Alice in words. I kept trying to put words together in my head to form a sentence and it just wouldn’t work…so I finally choked out the words…“Well…umm…I kinda hooked up with Kayden…again..” I barely whispered out, looking down at my steering wheel and then back on the road, hoping Alice wouldn’t freak out as badly as she did last time.
“Becca what do you mean again?! Didn’t you learn from last time? You are just setting yourself up to get hurt and im not going to be the one you come crying to again! You are only setting yourself up for more heartbreak…You can’t just keep letting him pull you back in. That relationship was nothing but lies the first time,” she screamed, barely taking a breath through her whole rant.
“I know…I know…theres just something about him that keeps drawing me back to him..I just can never say no to him. I know im just going to wind up hurt again, but I just can’t stop.” We finally got to the mall after what felt like an eternity. We got out and both cooled down after that little freak out. The mall was packed. “Where do you wanna go first?” I said as I turned toward Alice and grabbed her arm.
“Ummmmmm, I don’t know its too hard to choose! You pick!” she managed to giggle out as a group of guys walked by. Alice was so obsessed with boys. Im surprised she managed to stay faithful in her relationship.
I snapped my fingers in front of her face and motioned toward Tilly’s. Alice hated this store but it has always been one of my favorites. “Oh my god I love this shirt! Alice, what do you think?” I held the shirt up.
“Cute!” she said barely even looking up from her phone. I hated when she was like this. I could tell something was wrong and she was trying her best to hide it.
I paid for the shirt and we left the store. “Hey girly, what’s wrong? You seemed down back in the store?”
“Oh…its nothing…just something that Brett said…Things aren’t the same between me and him as before” she sighed.
“I know something that will cheer you up,” I winked at her and pulled her towards Abercrombie & Finch. She rolled her eyes and laughed as I pulled her along.

“Take it off, it will be fine I promise.” He said, breathing heavily, “I won’t let anything happen to you. I love you.”“I don’t know…Babe are you sure…?” I said…trying to gain my right mind again.
“I’m sure. I love you, show me that you love me too.” He said trying to per sway me into his silly little game.
“Fine. I love you too…I’ll do it.” I said.
And that’s when my life changed forever.
Three months earlier;
“Hey Becca!” Alice screamed from across the lawn, “Where you headed too?”
“No where special, just heading to the mall, care to join?” I said jingling my new car keys her way.
“Yes! Hold on I gotta go put on something cute!” she said hurriedly running toward her front door. “I’ll be down in a sec! Just hold on!”
“Alright,” I giggled out as I walked toward my car. Alice has been my best friend since 3rd grade when she moved in next door. I’ve always been jealous of her perfect life. Always getting what she wanted, perfect hair, perfect teeth, and not to mention her amazing wardrobe. Oh and the fact that she always had a boyfriend since the point where boys no longer had cooties. But I was always proud to be able to call her my best friend.
knock, knock, knock. I looked up to my window to see Alice bouncing up and down, so excited to go.
“Open the door! We’re losing valuable shopping time!” she said pounding on the window again.
“Break my window and you are never getting in my car again!” I said jokingly as I opened the door for her.
“Soooooo whats new??” she said poking at my side, dying to hear the new gossip she knew I had.
“oh nothing much…just…stuff “ I said as I turned on to the highway.
“Common! Spill! You can’t just keep stuff from your best friend!” Alice screamed as she hit my arm.
“ugh fine, but you are going to kill me,” I finally muttered out as I pulled up to a red light.
Okay, well this is my first story.
