I had lost all hope in the love that I was too stupid to see
Until we ran into each other at the store, and you started talking to me.
I didn't show it, but it made me so happy

Chapter 1

I was chewing and swallowing my food a little too fast, because I almost choked on my dinner. I was so busy with school and working at the café that I forgot to eat.
My parents were watching TV, while my little 12 year old brother Kyle was surfing on the internet. I was staring at my brother, seeing his eyes widen.
“Mom, dad, Courtney! LOOK!” Kyle shouted, pointing at the screen.
“What?” we all asked, irritated that Kyle interrupted what we were all doing.
“Courtney is on internet!” Kyle informed.
I gagged at my food at his words. “What?” I asked, not sure if I heard right.
“Just come here!” My parents and I scurried over to my brother and the computer we all share.
“This article explains that Courtney saved the son of some company from killing himself. And now the school has a bad reputation because of the fact that someone tried to kill themself right at the school.” Kyle explained.
My eyes widen as my parents gasped. “Oh my god, my daughter is famous!” my mom squealed.
“And she even made that pathetic excuse for a school look bad!” my dad added.  My parents were both smiling like idiots.
I didn’t know what to say. I was on an article on the internet, where anyone in the world could read. I opened my mouth to say something, but I was interrupted by the sound of the doorbell.
All of our heads turned to the door. My mom motioned Kyle to go get the door. He quickly nodded and got up from his seat. As Kyle walked towards the door, my dad hissed “If it’s the rent collectors, tell them that we aren’t here.”
Kyle swung the door open, which revealed 2 large men in black suits.
“How may I hel-“ Kyle drifted off, shrinking back as he eyes the two large men.
“Can you get your parents?” one of the large men asked.
“Mom! Dad!” Kyle shouted quickly, waving his hand over to the door. My parents jumped out of their seat and scurried to Kyle. Their eyes widen when they see the two men.
“Hello, how m-may we help you?” my mom stuttered, sounding nervous.
“Are you Courtney Evans’ parents?” one of the large men asked.
“Y-yes, why?”
“We want to talk to Courtney Evan’s parents about transferring her to J. Parker High School.” they answered.
My parents’ jaws dropped. Once I heard that sentence, I choked on my food again. After that, I walked up to the door where everyone else was at.
“A-are you serious? But we don’t have the money to send her to the school.” my dad clarified.
“Don’t worry, she will get a full scholarship.” My parents looked at each other, looking like they were about to burst of happiness. Meanwhile, I was terrified. I definitely did not want to go to that horrible school with those horrible people!
“Okay, let’s talk about it in the living room.” my mom said calmly. We all then walked over to the living room.
“Why does the school want to give Courtney a scholarship?” my mom questioned the men once we all sat down.
“Ever since the article Courtney was in came out, the school has gotten a bad reputation. And the only way to solve the problem is to get Courtney Evans transferred to the school. We will give her a full schlolarship and the school uniform.” one of the men replied.
There was a few seconds of silence. My parents gave each other a look.
“Of course we’ll transfer her to the school!” my parents declared.
“NO!” I shouted.
Everyone then turned their heads towards me, looking at me like I was crazy.
“I don’t want to that stupid school.” I simply said.
“Courtney, do you realize what mistake you’re making?! You will go to the school one way or another!” my mom yelled.
“I don’t want to go!” I repeated.
“COURTNEY!”
“Courtney, are you sure you don’t want to go there? You know, they have a large and nice swimming pool there.” Kyle mentioned.
I was silent for a minute. If the school has a swimming pool, that changes everything. Should I go there? I really don’t want to go there, because the school is full of disgusting people. But if I go there, I can swim anytime I want. Swimming is my life, and I missed swimming so badly. I haven’t swam in forever. My swimming skills is the only thing I really have, the only thing I like about myself. Swimming is the only way I can clear my mind and release my stress.
“Do I get to swim in the swimming pool anytime I want?” I finally asked the men.
“Yes, anyone can access to the pool at school hours.” they answered.
I thought about it for a few seconds. I really hope I don’t regret my decision.
“I’ll go.” I told everyone.

Married in High School? - Chapter Nineteen

"Where are we going now?" I asked, after stopping by a few more rooms.

"We have one more stop," he said, pressing the button for the elevator.

"We're going to a different floor?" I asked, confused.

"That's typically what elevators are used for," he teased me, laughing when I gave him a look. He pressed another button, and the doors closed, then the elevator lurched to life. I jumped, grabbing Jesse's hand.

"Um, sorry," I said, awkwardly, pulling my hand away quickly.

"It's fine," he mumbled back, and the rest of the thirty seconds on the elevator felt like forever. When the doors finally opened, we bumped into each other trying to get out. "You can go first-"

"Now you can go-"

"Okay," we both said, then hit each other again. Our laughter broke the awkward tension, and holding his hand out to gesture me out first, I walked into the hall with Jesse trailing behind. "Where do we go?" I whispered, stopping so he could pass me and lead me to the right door. He waved to the nurse at the desk who nodded at us, before returning to her work. Down another dark hallway, and Jesse stopped at a door almost at the very end. He took a deep breath before opening the door, and walking in first, letting me trail behind. I gave him space, as I saw he needed it. He walked over to the bed in the corner of the room, which was surronded by machines. Then he walked over to the window and threw the curtains open, letting a little light shine through.

I walked over to stand beside the bed, looking at the person laying there. He was hooked up to wires and moniters and tubes running out of everywhere. His face was sunken in, but his facial features were handsome. "Olivia, this is my brother Ian. He overdosed last year, and has been on life support every since." Jesse said quietly. I was shocked, looking from Jesse to the figure-Ian- in the bed. They had the same dark hair, and I kind of recognized him from the photos I saw in Jesse's home.

"This is why people think I'm a drug dealer. Ian was known for getting the biggest and baddest drugs, and selling them for the most money. He swore he would never do them, but he started hanging out with the people he delt to, and he got into the hard stuff. I found him in the bathroom one morning, spazzing out on the floor. If I had waited any longer, he would have been gone...." he trailed off, looking away. "He's gone anyway, but my mom won't let him go."

I couldn't believe what Jesse had told me, I couldn't believe I had been so ignorant, so stereotypical, so naive. I felt ashamed for following the crowd, assuming rumors that weren't true. But most of all I was sorry that Jesse had to endure that all because of his older brother, and that nothing could change that.

Woah! Who didn't see that one coming???
Happy Ever Afters?
Chapter 17    Lilly's P.O.V
My silent tears quickly turned to sobs and I just sat there weeping.

I shouldn’t have gone off at Crystal, I wasn’t angry at her I was jealous. I shouldn’t have gone off at Matt or Jake, they were only trying to help me.
I sat there rocking back and forth and finally let everything catch up with me – the fight, my jealousy, my b//chyness towards Jake and Matt, and my parents…
This brought on a new round of sobs and I got up and made my way over to the punching bag again, punching and swearing as the tears rolled down my face.
After what felt like hours but in reality was only a few minutes I felt a pair of toned arms wrap around my shoulders and turn me around.
I looked up through my blurry eyes to see his piercing green eyes looking down at me swimming with concern.
I lost it again and felt my knees give way, but no before Jake swept m up and moved us over to a couch on the far side of Matt’s room.
I buried my face into his chiselled chest and sat there grieving for what again felt like hours.
After I had finally calmed myself down enough to speak I looked up to Jake.
"I guess you know what my ‘condition’ is now.” I said trying a weak laugh and smile.
He looked down at me as if trying to assess whether or not I was gonna breakdown again, “does this always happen?”
“Me being a b//ch and then breaking down? Yeh pretty much. I always end up feeling guilty but it has gotten worse since mum and dad died ‘cause in the end I just end up crying about them.” I replied trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill over.
He wiped under my eyes and smiled at me apologetically “I’m sorry.”
I smiled a small smile back so many people had said that but when Jake said it actually sounded like he really cared, “Me too. I’m sorry for being a b//ch to you, and,” I looked down at his ruined shirt “for ruining your shirt”
He laughed a hearty laugh and smiled “Don’t worry about it, I have plenty of others. And hey if you ever want to talk to someone I’m always here.”
I gave Jake a hug and scooted off his lap and stood up pulling him up with me whilst smirking evilly, “Well than we better go get some ice-cream and chocolate ‘cause it sounds like we are gonna have a serious d and m.”

Okay guys I am really, really, really sorry and I know that is no excuse but my laptop broke and thenI had heaps of stuff with school and I just haven't got arounf to writing but here it is.
I'm sorry but I hope you like! :)
Will try and upload within the next week.
Married in High School? - Chapter Sixteen

I got into Jesse's car, with a little prodding from him. Sitting down with a huff, I took my phone out of my bag, and texted Collin, letting him know we wouldn't be meeting for lunch.

"Can you do anything without letting him know?" Jesse said bitterly.

"For your information, I had a lunch date with him. I had to let him know that I wasn't blowing him off." I shot back.

"Sorry I ruined your lunch time plans with lover boy," he muttered.

"What did you just say?"

"I bet you heard me."

"Where the hell are we going? Some warehouse to deal drugs?"

"Oh, how original." he snorted, laughing at me. "You don't think I've heard that one before? People come up to me all the time asking what the rate of weed is these days. The cops make monthly visits to me to 'check up' on things. Just because Ian was like that doesn't mean I am," he shook his head before continuing. "I'm not a drug dealer, I don't even do drugs. I don't drink, I don't smoke, and this may surprise you, but I get good grades. And this is where I work." He signaled to the right and we pulled into a...

WHERE DO YOU THINK JESSE WORKS? If I get a few comments, maybe I'll post again tonight :)

Married in High School? - Chapter Fourteen

"The two of you earned...1500 hundred dollars this month?" Her jaw dropped when she looked up at us. "Are you putting your own money into the pot? That's against the rules."

I smiled at her, and looked at Jesse, who made a face back at me. It was the beginning of October, and a month has paddes since we started this horrid project. "I work a lot Ms. Poe. Jesse joins me on the weekends. So no, we aren't adding to it with other money."

"Well then," she said, clearing her throat and placing the piece of paper on her desk. "Good job, you guys earned the most money in the month of September...by a long shot." She paused, her brow wrinkling in thought. "Keep up the good work," she said, with a weak smile. "It's time to draw from the hat, to see what road bump you will undertake this month," she leaned down and came back up with a top hat.

I looked at Jesse, as if to ask who would pick. "Ladies first," he said, gesturing towards the hat.

I leaned towards the edge of my chair, and plucked out a piece of paper. "The wife looses her job, you must find another income source...well that sucks," I said looking up, and tossing the paper back in.

"That means you can no longer bring in the money from the daycare," Ms.Poe explained, and it was my turn to have my jaw drop in surprise.

"So what are we supposed to do?" I said, "that's the only source of money we had."

"Well I would assume that Jesse, you had a job. Or, if you did not, you would have to apply for one."

"Oh he doesn't-" I said, at the same exact time "Of course I have-" we looked at each other, me, surprised once again, and him annoyed by my assumptions.

"I have a job, which you can work at with me." The bell rang, and he stood up and grabbed his jacket, and turned to me, "we start work tomorrow princess, don't forget your lighter," he winked at me, and walked out.

"I can NOT work with him!" I said, turning to Ms. Poe. "Did you hear what he just said to me?! What the hell am I going to be doing?!" I shrieked, standing up.

"Olivia that language will not be tolerated-"

"Tolerated my a/ss," I grabbed my bag and walked out the door, right into Collin.

"Wow, hey babe, what's up?"

"I hate this project, I hate my partner, ugh!" I sighed, leaning against his chest. "ahsoighnsdf" I mumbled, and he laughed, prodding my face so I would turn and he would hear what I said.

"I want to get out of here."

"We will, soon," he said, kissing my forehead. "But right now, we need to head to class," he grabbed my hand and pulled me down the hallway. I pulled back before giving up.

"Why are you the responsible one?" I groaned.

"Because you're the reckless one and opposites attract," he smiled, and I smiled back. I looked behind Collin and saw Jesse's retreating figure. I was in for one hell of a year.
