one day in early spring, an elementary teacher asked her students what they knew about easter

one little girl raised her hand and said, "easter is when santa comes down the chimney and brings us presents"

the teacher said "no, thats christmas" and called on a little boy. The boy said, "easter is when the pilgrims and indians joined together for a dinner"

the teacher said, "no, thats thanksgiving" and called on another little girl. the girl said, "easter is when jesus went into the ground and then came back up again"

the teacher looked pleased and started to say "yes thats correct", but the girl cut her off and said...

"...and if he sees his shadows he goes back into the ground for 6 more weeks"
