So You Wanna Win

I don't get it. Most of the people on this website will take this as any other day. But to me, it's so much more. Today marks the 100th year since the Titanic hit the bottom of the Atlantic. Some people still believe the Titanic was just a movie, well for the uneducated; the Titanic was a true story. Jack and Rose were just fictional characters that were created to make a Romeo and Juliet love story. There are plenty things in the movie that are absolutely true. The way the orchestra stayed there and played, not hesitating to get off the boat, or the way old couples laid in their bed. Waiting for their death as the water flushed into their room. How about the families going to America for the first time? Due to riding in third class, they couldn't be let up to the deck until second and first class were on a boat. Mothers put their children to bed; reading their final bedtime story. The most disturbing thing to me though, is that it's true. That the boats built to hold 65 men, were being sent out with 20 people on them. How there were approximately 2,200 people on the Titanic on April 14th, all with air in their lungs. But by April 15th, early in the morning before the sun has even touched the Atlantic, 1,500 people of those 2,200... were dead. My heart goes out to every single person that lost their life a century ago on the Titanic. Rest in peace. ♥
