Knowing she'll be crushed when he leaves her behind.

Remembering the promise "I'll always be there."
Sweet rememberance resonates in his soul
of times when her happiness was his goal.
His last days were spent with her under his arm,
Desperately trying to protect her from harm.
Harm and hurt from losing him,
As his vision clouds and becomes dim.
"Forever", he told her, "I'll be with you."
"I'll see you and watch everything you do."
Her loving face flashed before his eyes
and she says "goodbye" as he dies.
As he passes to Heaven he watches his love,
"Eternally, I'll watch her, from above."

Gone

There was a girl who was alone,
and she was tattered and worn.
Tha fact that no one cared,
left her shattered and torn.
She felt depressed all the time,
expecially locked in a cage.
There was only one thing to do,
and that was to wallow in rage.
It only got worse when she would sit,
and was distraught inside.
It really didn't bother her,
that no one cared when she cried.
And not one person gave a second,
to help her with a broken heart.
No one even noticed,
that it was tearing her apart.
He parents never had time,
to listen to what she said.
Even when she told them,
"All I want is to be dead."
The only thing that was seen,
was the blood on the floor that dawn.
She had simply vanished,
and without a trace, she was...gone.
