Save an egg crack a smile

She grabs a knife,

Puts It To Her Wrist.

She blinks away her tears,

Any moment she could slip.

She grabs a bottle of Tylenol,

The bottle is full to the top with pills.

Wonders if she should take them,

Knows an overdose can kill.

She grabs a gun, puts it to her head,

Any moment she could be dead.

She wants to get his attention, but doesn't know how,

She says to her self, "Will you notice me know?"

I know you knew how I felt,

I just wanted to know who was on your mind.

Just knowing who that someone was,

Could've saved a life; mine.

Don't lie to protect me,

There's one lesson I've learned in my young youth.

The worst part about a lie is

knowing you weren't worth the truth.

So where were you when a tear rolled down my cheek?

Why didn't you care?

You said all I had to do was say so.

But you weren't there when I turned around,

I don't think you wanted to know.

I think you were afraid of the scars,

I think you were afraid of love.

I think you were afraid of seeing me after learning the hidden secrets,

Realizing I'm no perfect angel sent from above.

I didn't expect you to love me,

I didn't expect you to care.

But I did sort of believe your promise,

When you said you'd be there.
