They had been together for 3 years today, but he was going off to the army, and she knew that the break up was coming. So there she waited on the boardwalk over looking the sunset. A tear slowly and silently fell down her cheek. She breathed in and out slowly, and her boyfriend appeared. He carried a single red rose, and started walking up to her. He handed her the rose, and she took it. He looked just fine, if not a little anxious. She breathed heavily.
"Baby, you look beautiful."
"Th-Thanks." She tried not to cry.
"I'm sorry I can't be with you tomorrow." She started to cry.
"It..its ok." she managed to choke out.
"But baby I have to do something...." She cried uncontrollably at this. He all of a sudden got down on one knee,
"Baby, I will never abandon you, I will always come back for you, I promise, please, make my dream come true. Will you marry me?"
Her crying let up, and she smiled through the tears.
"Yes, baby yes I will marry you!"
They kissed and he picked her up bridal style and carried her home.
