Love
Always

The
first few stores we went in, I looked at one price tag and ducked
out of there as fast as I could. I wanted to look nice, but still
be able to afford college. Then we went into Macy's and they were
having a sale. I don't buy or wear dresses often, so this was
kind of a challenge for me.
We looked around for a while and I tried on five or six dresses.
Ace insisted I looked beautiful in all of them, but I know him
too well. He liked them sure, but they obviously weren't
the dress. We were about to give up and leave, and that
was when I saw it. It was beautiful, V-necked halter in a deep
green. It was perfect, not too low cut and it off set my bright
green eyes perfectly.
I told Ace to hang on, and I grabbed the dress running into the
dressing rooms. I came out moments later, and Ace looked shell
shocked. "Y-Y-You look amazing!" That was all he had to
say, I was sold on the dress. I paid and then holding hands we
walked out of the store with Ace carrying my bag like a true
gentleman.
We still had about an hour before my mom came to pick us up, so
we headed towards the food court. We live in a pretty small town,
so the food court is really nothing to special. Having had a late
breakfast, Ace and I weren't even really hungry. So instead he
bought us both an Orange Julius and we sat down at a table and
talked.
You might wonder what two people who are with each other nearly
every second of the day could possibly have to talk about, but
Ace and I always talked. We talked about everything, and
contemplated seeing a movie that night, but instead just decided
to rent one from the blockbuster around the corner from our
house. It was his turn to pick the movie, I had picked last and
after A Walk to Remember I know I will have to put up with
something filled with blood and gore.
He picked Final Destination Three. Not to scary but still just
scary enough. We sat on the couch in his room, and slipped the
movie into the DVD player. I spent almost the entire movie with
my head tucked under his arm, with him stroking my hair
whispering, "Don't worry Zandria it's only a movie
baby". He really is too good to be true!
Finally it was time to go to sleep, and we followed through with
our ritual now nine years old. "Always remember and never
forget, Ace loves Zandria" he whispered. "Always
remember and never forget, Zandria loves Ace" I replied.
Then we both leaned in and our lips met in a gentle kiss. Still
there were flying sparks. Then we embraced and he whispered as
always, "And someday we will get married because I will love
you always and forever". With that we parted ways with one
final smile in each others directions.
