Chapter 3 ; Part 13
He came back out within three minutes in plaid pajama pants and a
white tee shirt, she was just walking out of the bathroom in her
plaid monkey shorts and sweatshirt.
“How’s Rachel?” Olivia asked as she sat on the
couch.
“She’s good. She wanted to know if we could chill
tomorrow.” he answered.
“And…?”
“You said you wanted to do something so I said
maybe.”
“We could go with her if you’d rather? I was just
going to take you to my beach.”
“Up to you.” he slumped into the couch.
“But you do so much for me. I want to do something for
you.” she groaned.
“Back massage might be nice.”
She laughed and nodded.
He flipped over on the couch and she sat on his back.
She dug her thumbs into his shoulders and went all the way down
his back. She finished after ten minutes and laid herself on him.
They laid there watching the movie and he rolled towards the back
of her.
He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her back so their
bodies just met.
They played footsies the rest of the movie and when it ended, she
rose her hand to his face and gently pulled him into a kiss. She
let the grip of her hand on his head loosen, and she bit her lip
and stared into his big brown eyes. They heard the lock of the
door click, Justin jumped up, “Who’s there?”
“It’s only me.” A teenage boy’s voice
said.
Justin jumped over the couch and yanked the door open.
It was Drew, Abbey holding his hand.
“Hey.” Justin high fived him.
“Hi, Liiv.” Abbey waved.
Olivia walked over to Abbey, “Hey girl.”
Justin and Drew walked to the kitchen and Olivia and Abbey walked
to the couch.
“Bro, I need a place to stay tonight.” Drew broke.
“What’d you do now?” Justin asked.
“Abbey came over and my mom…” Drew started to
explain, and Justin put his hand up, “I got it, man. And
you can stay over.”
“Liiv, I have to be honest with you.” Abbey started,
“Drew and I got pretty far.”
“Justin told me.” Olivia frowned, “Abbey, I
thought you were different.”
Justin walked behind Olivia and pinched her sides, she yanked her
head back and he kissed her.
Abbey and Drew sat on the couch and flipped through the channels.
Justin and Olivia walked out onto the terrace.
It was around one AM, so there were not many cars, and most
stores were closed. But the night was still lit up by the moon
light.
“This reminds me of the night you gave me my
necklace.” Olivia gripped her purple rhinestone J.
“This reminds me of the night you told me everything was
perfect.” Justin wrapped his arms around her waist.
“This also reminds me of our first fight.” she turned
to put her head in her cupped hands on the railing.
“We got hit by a truck, we should have died, but we
didn’t. Because that one little sliver of love we still had
for each other and that one piece of hope we had to work it out.
I couldn’t live without you. And I know I would have died
if we broke up that night.”
Chapter:6
"L-li-listen Ch-charli" Todd said stuttering.
"What" I said wiping my eyes.
"I-I-I I wasn't thinking when i said that. i was just jealous that my dad was payingso much attention to you and letting you spend that much. I didn't mean it at all and i really didnt mean to make you cry."
" oh its okay Todd. your completly forgiven, i understand. " i said sarcastically shaking my head still mad. I added" is that the answer you wanted to hear Todd?"
" No it's not. It's just i dont know. I mean my mom left me and my dad and Taylor" he said.
"Yeah but it isnt the same. She had the choice to go and you still get to see her. your parents just got divorced. but my dad... he didnt have a choice to go. one minute he was there and the next he wasnt. I cant see him ever again! I cant hear him laugh, or hug him, i cant talk with him or anything. he wont be there to walk me down the asile for my wedding or to dance with my for the father daughter dance" I said starting to cry a little more.
"I know" Todd said" But i'll be there for you and so will my dad. I know it wont be the same but you'll have us. and your dad wil be there too. He'll be watching his little girl grow up. he'll watch you get married and he'll be there to walk down the aisle and he'll be so proud of who you've become. I remember your mom telling us how close you and your dad had been and how much he meant to you." Todd said wiping a tear sliding down his face.
" Thanks Todd and yeah we were really close"I said wiping my eyes.
"Now come and give your new older step brothera hug."
I did as he said and replied" Thankyou but you're only like 2 months older then me." When we turned around to go back into my room all of his friends were there. Oh God i thought.
"Were you guys listening the whole time?" Todd asked.
"Maybee..." Aubrey said tearing up a little.
"it was so cute what you said Todd. and im so sorry about your dad Charli" she added. Mhmmm... perfect. I Iooked around the room and I was getting the pitty stare from everyone. Well everyone but green eyes. He just looked at me bankly but with curiosity. I could tell he felt bad but he didnt have that pitty look which i liked. " Lets all go outside and start a bonfire" Todd said and we all followed.
I hadn't noticed before but Todd had a bunch of skating things in the side yard. Literaly it was like his own little skatepark. It was pretty cool.My dad taught me how to skate and I loved it. It was always so fun to skate with him. He would teach me a bunch of different tricks. He would tell me i was really good but i never believed him. He would say that i was amazing at piano too but i never believed him. I stopped playing when he had passed. I just can't bring my self to playing again. Skating... well i still do that secretly because if my mom found out i still skated she would make a big deal out ofit. so I plan on skating tonight when everyones gone and a sleep. After the bonfire and the boys were done skating everyone went home. Everyone but ... you guessed it green eyes. While him and Todd were still skating i was making s'mores with Taylor.
" are you Todd friends now?" she asked.
"yeah i think so Tay." I said.
After a while Taylor fell asleep and i brought her inside. It turns out green eyes was sleeping over and him and Todd were camping outside. They went into their sleeping bags at 12:30. I waited until 2:30 to go outside to skate. When I started skating i did a fell a few times just going up and down. Once I got used to it more I started to tricks. It felt so good to skate. I was about to do another trick when i heard something. I looked around.
"Who's there!?" I whisper shouted.
"I'm not scared of you. I mean i play some sports and I used to do Karate. Plus I have a skateboard I could hit you with." I said when I heard another rustling noise. "Seriously just come out or else I'll scream" I said starting to fake scream.
"Okay. okay." they said. Then i saw a dark figure come near me. They came closer and I could see them. It was none the other than green eyes.
" What are you doing out here?" He asked.
"What does it look like I'm doing" i said annoyed that he interupted me and that he now knows i skate.
"Well i mean why are you out her now at this time skating. You could have just skated with us before" he said.
"Well maybe I like to skate alone and i didnt want to skate with you guys. Why were you watching me?" I said.
" Well I dunno... your a really good skater. i guess thats why" he said.
" Yeah alright well Im gonna go inside now" I said.
" Oh wait the reason I woke up was because I gotta go pee but the door was locked then I heard you. So do you think you can let me in." He said
"Dont boys usually just got in the wood or something? But yeah I'll let you in" I said.
" Well yeah usually we do but were only alowed to go in the back and i dont feel like walking all the way back there and going in the house is easier" he said.
"right..." i replied opening the door. " well im just gonna go upstairs now later..." i said and went up to my room got changed and got my ipod and layed in bed. I cant fall asleep without listening to music. I just layed there thinking about how long of a day its been and how annoyed i was with green eyes... and i eventually fell asleep.
