Chapter 3 ; Part 14
She bent her shaking knees, hovering over the cold body.
She hesitantly put her ear to his chest to hear a heartbeat.
Pump…
Her tears fell and she got excited, she turned to Olivia and
Justin and told them to call 911. Olivia smiled and pulled her
phone out and called. Justin dried his eyes at the new ray of
hope.
The sirens rang out.
The lights flashed before their eyes.
The confusion rushed around them.
Abbey went to the hospital with Drew and Olivia and Justin
decided to stay back.
It was around 2:30 in the morning.
Justin was staring into space and Olivia was doing anything she
could to comfort him.
“Olivia…” Justin said.
Olivia was relieved when he spoke, “Yes?”
He looked at her, snapping back into reality, and grabbed her
hands, “I have to show you something.”
She nodded and he pulled her out onto the terrace. There were
fire escape stairs that went downwards, but there was no terrace
below it, yet they went down.
Then into a vent they crawled, and finally, there was an isolated
room.
There were two beach chairs, a bottle of sprite, and sour patch
kids in between the chairs, staring straight up at the starry
sky.
“I come out here when things get hard, but I haven’t
been out here since February 20th. You are the only one who has
ever seen this place.” he explained.
“Why are there two chairs if you were single?” Olivia
asked.
“Oh. Uhm… my fans. I know it sounds weird, but I
always want my fans with me.”
“It doesn’t sound weird, it sounds sweet.”
He walked her over and sat her in the fans’ seat.
He paced for a minute, and took a deep breath.
“Would you like to sit down?” Olivia giggled.
“This is going to be so hard to say.” Justin
whimpered.
