hey so i need a little help

so i play softball for the rec league in my town, and next year i go to high school.
there's a junior varsity team at my high school, and i might want to try out for that.
but i play rec with my friends that are going to the other high school in town, and i'm always on their team and we have a lot of fun, and i won't see them much next year because our stupid town has two high schools. and my friend lizzy* always calls me a "ditcher" because i don't always hang out with her and my other softball friends, cause i have a lot of friends and stuff. so i don't want to ditch her even more.
i want to do the school team, but i don't want my friends to hate me.
i don't know what to dooo!!!!
