Chapter 34

I went home, and Mel was there. I smelt some food, more like desert.
"Mel? Are you home?"
"Go to your room for a minute."
"Ok! I was headed up there."

I went up to my room, and then I got a text:
Mom: Hey darling. Happy Birthday. Be dressed nicely tonight.
Me: Thanks, Mom. Alright.
Mom: Bye darling.
Me: Bye.

I didn't have many friends. I had like 3 and I haven't seen them since the party. I wanted to see them.

I got another text, and was shocked.

Sophie: Happy Birthday! I miss you. We need to hang out. (:
I was surprised she told me Happy Birthday.
Me: Sophiee! It's been weeks. I know, when do you want to?
Sophie: I know, right? Um.. anytime you are free.
Me: Alright. I might want to have a little get together.
Sophie: That would be awesome. No drinking thought. We've already seen those outcomes.
Me: I know. I'll see a time. Hold on.
Sophie: Kayy.(:

I looked at a time, and called my mom too see what she had planned.

"Mom, what time is this thing you are doing starting?"
"At 5:30.'"
"Ok, thanks."

Me: How about 9'ish?
Sophie: Yes, that's awesome.(:
Me: Yeah, I'll text some other friends about this.
Sophie: Ok, see you later.
Me: Byee(:

I got some more texts from people I didn't even talk to in the school. I don't know how they got my number.
I texted the people I actually knew, and told them we were having a little party. I told them to come to my house.

I was bored and looked through my pictures from my phone.
I looked at how many there were of Jayden and me together. I lied on my bed, and Mel came up.

"Alex! Here, put this over your eyes," she said and gave me a blindfold.
"Ok, haha."
"Walk carefully. I'll help you."
"Ok, make shure I don't trip."
"I won't ! Come through here."
"It smells good."
"Ok, open!"
I looked and saw a cake, two presents, cupcakes, balloons, and a card.

"Oh my gosh! This is amazing! Thanks so much Mel!"
"You are welcome! John is here! He helped me do all this."
"Awww, that's nice!"
"Yeah, I know," she whispered to me and laughed.
"Alex, I hope you have an awesome birthday! One more year until college!" John said.
"Aww! John, thanks!" I said and went to hug him.
'You are welcome! It was fun baking your cake and cupcakes with Mel. She is very nice."
"You know, you are good for each other," I said in his ear.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes!"
"Thanks."
"You are welcome. Come on guys! Enjoy!"

We started eating some chips, and the junk food they cooked. I felt so fat.
I opened my presents.
I opened the one from John first. It was a notebook, and I opened it.

"Oh my gosh! This is awesome!"
"You can write songs in there."
"That's amazing! Thanks John. You didn't have too!"
"I wanted to, so I did!"

He was so nice!

Then I opened the one from Mel.
It was another notebook, but much bigger.
"Mel, what is this? It's beautiful!"
"I already have it decorated inside. You can put some more pictures in there. I put some from where you were months old, until now, and all the memories. You should add some for this school year!"
"Oh my goodness! This is so amazing. I totally love it! Thanks again, alot !"

I enjoyed my time with them, then got ready for 5:30.
