(The Key)
Chapter 2 - Part 1.
"Katie, I
can't take this. It's way to expensive, I'd feel
guilty if i did." Ashley told her.
"Well, what I was thinking was that you could take the key,
and i would take the heart. Unless you wanted the
heart."
"Oh. That'd be better. You know how to handle expensive
things. I think you takin' the heart would be a wise
decision. Besides, i really do like the key a lot. Thank-you
Katie, it's so beautiful!" Ashley squealed with
excitement.
"Ohh. This is the best part. Your key actually unlocks the
heart. See the hearts a locket. Would've never known right?
haha. It's epic." And just then her taking the key and
putting it in the heart, she turned it to the right and took it
out, leaving the top of the locket to open by itself revealing
two of there favorite pictures. On the right side, it showed both
Ashley and Kaytie together when they where camping in
Vermont.
"What about the left side? There's no picture.
why?" She asked.
"Well because were going to take a picture of us both
wearing them for the first time."
"Oh. Sweet. When? Now?"
"Yeah! Say cheese!"
"Cheese!"
"Cheese!" Just then a bright white flash went off, and
everyone at the table clapped and cheered. They then put the
picture in the left side ever so gently, and closed it.
"Okay. So guess what!! This set is the only one in the whole
world. We custom made it. So no one else has anything like it!!
Sweet right?!" She yelled to me.
"Are you serious!? That's epic!!"

All of a sudden, the hair on my neck stood straight up giving me
the tingly feeling, and knocking me out of my memory. I looked
around and spotted a very pretty girl staring right at me with
huge cold brown eyes. Staring back I could tell that she had pin
straight, jet black hair going down to her mid back. She had a
flat face with a small nose. She couldn't of been 100%
Chinese or Asian though. Just then the nasal sound of the bell
rang signaling that third period was over. The girl got up
abruptly and started for the door, right when she was turning the
corner, the sun came shining in from the window revealing
something shiny. I couldn't help but think that it looked
exactly like the one Katie had worn for so many years. I
convinced myself that i was going crazy. Only to later learn i
was right the whole time and never once crazy.
