I’m a funny thing, aren’t I?
A funny, funny thing
Full of sadness, happiness & hope
Never at the same time though.
And does the sadness I cause make sense?
Or does it play on people’s incompetence?
A minion to my calling is what you all are,
Because no one seems to really understand.
Understand that I am more than this,
More than something that’s felt by a kiss.
I am work, and I am dedication
Not built on mindless flirtation.
You do not seem to see what I am made of
Or you do and choose to ignore it
You are human and this is understood
But stupidity never brought any good.
So please see me for what I am
That sometimes I can bless or damn
But Love is who I choose to be
And hate can sometimes be my enemy
Know though that with me heaven can sometimes exist
But hell is never that far away from it.
