So I have this
dog,
Her name is Riley.
My parents got her two years before i was born, so I've never known life without her.
She was there when I took my first steps,
nudging me with her nose to keep going.
She was there when my friends weren't,
Always staying near me to make sure I was alright.
She was so loyal, that she used to sleep on my bed every night.
Until one day, she couldn't get up on it anymore.
Soon after that, she started to have trouble walking.
She still tried to do everything normally, but I could tell it was hard for her.
It got to the point where she wouldn't even get up to greet us at the door anymore.
Riley died yesterday in her sleep,
and I miss her more than I can bear.
You were an amazing dog, and I will love you forever. </3
