The Right Way #75

                     I laid on my back in the water and stared up at the sky. It was beautiful here, and I didn't want to leave at all. The few clouds rolled by slowly, seeming to enjoy the nice weather, too.

                     "Boo," Ryan whispered right next to my ear. He was kneeling in the clear water. He placed his hands under my back, and even in the warm water, he managed to give me goosebumps.

                    I folded my knees up and kneeled, too. He grabbed my hands under the water, and we just stayed there. The gentle waves lolled against us soothingly. "You excited to go back?" I asked.

                   "No," he admitted. "There's no distractions here. It's amazing," he said.

                   "Mhm," I agreed. "So, when we get back, how long do we have before we have to go back to school?"

                   "Winter break is two weeks, and we were here for about a week. So we got another week left," he said and winked. My heart beat jumped for a second.

                   "Do you know what time it is?" I asked, suddenly remembering our reservation for swimming with the dolphins.

                   He shook his head. He turned his head and looked for Natasha and Jordan. He noticed that they were laying on our chairs on the sand. Natasha was reading a magazine and Jordan was listening to music. "Hey, Natasha!" Ryan called.

                   She looked up. "Yeah?" She said.

                   "How long until the reservation?" He asked.

                  She checked her watch. "About 20 minutes," she replied.

                  He nodded and looked back at me. "What do you want to do?" He asked.

                  "I don't know..." I trailed off. He chuckled and gave me a smirk. "Stop it," I said, slapping him on the shoulder.

                  "Ow!" He doubled over in mock pain. He pretended to drown and I rolled my eyes. He popped above the surface. "You're really not going to save me? Wow, you so love me," he teased me.

                 "You know I love you, stupid," I said. I shoved his head under water and dove in the opposite direction. I flew through the water and popped up about 20 feet away. I looked back and didn't see him. Where was he?"

                 "Boo!" He said in my face. He popped up right in front of me. I squealed as he tickled me. A huge grin spread over his face. I looked into his eyes and smiled brightly. I stood up so we were closer together. I laid my hand against his cheek and kissed him sweetly but quickly.

                "You guys!" Natasha said. She was at the water's edge and waved at us impatiently. "Come on, time for our swimming with the dolphins!" We broke apart and he grabbed my hand. We ran out of the water and picked up towels. We dried off quickly, put on our clothes, and walked quickly down the boardwalk.

                As soon as we arrived at the on-site pool, I knew this was going to be bad. The waiter that had continually creeped me out was in charge of our session. And he was staring at me as we walked up.
