chapter 11.
I spent the whole Saturday with
my mom. Shopping. It was actually amazing. I haven't
done anything with my mom in years. She was never home or
she never cared. I felt like someone actually cared. I
didn't feel invisible anymore.
We went to all the stores and bought a lot of things.
"I feel like a teenager again." Mom said, leaving Victoria Secret. I laughed.
"Yeah mom." We finished shopping and went out to dinner to TGI Fridays, my favorite restaurant. I haven't been there in years. We sat down and ordered. While waiting for our food, we sat in silence. It was kind of awkward. But then mom broke the silence.
"I'm sorry." She stared at me.
"For what?" I asked, even though I knew what she meant.
"Everything. Your father and I fighting, him beating you. I saw him. I never knew. I'm sorry honey. But me and him made a deal, if he ever touches you again, we're getting divorced." She said with a straight face.
"After this 15 years, you finally realized. Thanks mom." I smiled. Our conversation ended there when our food came. We left around 7:30. We spent the whole day together. When I got home, I took all my bags and ran upstairs. I turned the music up and tried on all my clothes, like dress up. I danced around singing Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. Everyday I'm shuffling.
"Did I ever tell you that you have an amazing voice?" I jumped and fell onto the floor. I turned and saw my window open and Ryan sitting there, smiling at me.
"What the hell?!" I screamed. He put a finger to his mouth and whispered Shh.
"Stop doing that. Next time, text me." I got up and turned the music down.
"Sorrrrrrrrry." He sat down next to me on the bed and smiled.
"Why you in such a good mood?" He was all happy and hyper.
"I missed you." His smiled faded.
"From this morning or since 8th grade?" I said sarcastically.
"Both." I smiled. "I missed you, alot."
"I missed you too. Buttttttttttt, you gotta leave. We'll talk tomorrow." He signed and gave me puppy dog eyes. "No, out. Now. It's late." He sighed again and jumped out the window on to the tree and crawled down like a cat.
