I gaped at her. Homecoming Queen? Me?!
I walked up and stood next to Jessica on the steps, feeling
confused and happy at the same time.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you our queen!" Jessica
smiled. I looked out at the crowd, happy but confused.
"Queen!," said Jessica. "Of the losers!"
Then I felt hands grab hold of my shoulders, and was pushed
harshly into the fountain. I gasped, stumbling around in the
water. I could hear Jessica and the crowd laughing behind me. I
finally managed to stand up. My beautiful dress and hair was
soaked and ruined.
I lifted myself out of the water started running towards the
door, stumbling and losing my shoe.
People were laughing, Jessica was cackling, and I could see
Miranda pushing through the crowd, trying to reach me.
I ran out of the crowd into the parking lot, leaving my shoe and
my friends behind.
