Chapter 29


The rest of the week was pure torture.
It went by etremely slow and I felt distant.
I woke up friday morning, thanking God I didn't have to wait any longer.
But the school day, was probably the worst of all.
More rumors were spread.
What they were about, I was still unsure of.
But they had deffinitely gotten worse.
Jess obviously had spread them.
The only thing that got me through the day was thinking about Ryan.
It was friday, there was more of a chance that I could see him this weekend.

I got home and wanted to instantly fall asleep.
Instead, I watched some TV, half-paying attention. 
When I finally went to sleep at 11, I was beyond tired.
Bored to tears with my uneventful life.
It was crazy to believe that just earlier this week had been me an Ryans one month anniversary, and that a little over a month ago I didn't even know Ryan!
And now, I couldn't even function without him.

I woke up staurday morning and put on stretchy pants and a sweater.
I got ready and went downstairs to have breakfast.
I wasn't quite sure what I was getting all fancy for, I just felt like putting on normal human clothes.
My phone silently blinked, signalling a text message.
I looked at the clock...11:43
I looked around me and didn't see my mom anywhere, so I picked up my phone and read the text from Ryan.
hey ;) do u think you can sneak out?
My mom seemed to be nowhere in sight, so I texted back:
yeah i think so
I got a quick response back from Ryan:
ok. meet me at our corner in 5 minutes :*
I walked to the front door smiling and looking down at my phone, ready to silently walk out the door.
Right as I was about to text back, my mom came down the stairs, fully dressed in her workout outfit.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
She looked down and saw my phone.
"What are you doing with that?"
My heart skipped a beat and quickened. 
I tried to put it away, but it was too late, she had already figured it out.
"You've been texting Ryan haven't you?" her face got red and she sounded furious.
I willed my feet to move, for my lips to speak, but nothing happened.
She looked at me and said simply "I bet he doesn't even love you."
Then, I was running.
