"As long as
you're alright
with it."
"I am." I
explained to him
everything that had
happened that day,
only twenty-four days
before my fifteenth
birthday. I told him
how my Mom got a
phone call while my
brother and I waited
for the bus. How she
was told to expect
the worse. I told him
how I went to school
and made it all the
way to fifth peirod,
lunch. I told him how
one of my peers told
me my dad was there
to pick me up and I
got real scared.
His eyes filled with
concern as I
continued with my
life's story. I
told him how I saw my
Dad cry for the first
time in my life and
how he told me
he'd explain
everything when we
got home. I told
Niall about how when
we picked my brother
up, my old principal
said I looked like
the happiest girl on
the planet. I told
him how my brother
complained of being
pulled out of science
class.
I
told Niall about the
car ride back to my
house and everything
I considered to be
wrong. I told him how
I thought my Mommom
had cancer or had a
heart attack or fell.
I told him how my Mom
looked when I walked
in the front door. I
told him how my Mom
sat us down and
uttered these words:
"There was an
accident and someone
broke in and killed
Mommom and Uncle
Ryan." I told
him about how I broke
down in front of so
many people like
never before.
"What happened
then?" He asked
as we grew closer to
my hometown.
"We had a
viewing and a
funeral. They had to
have clothes on that
covered their hands
and their
throats." A
single tear fell from
my eye and he
understood why.
"They told us
things I never wanted
to know. I
should've never
been exposed to any
of this."
"Like
what?"
"How
many times. Where at.
I even seen the blood
stain on my
Mommom's kitchen
floor." I saw
from the corner of my
eye Niall starting to
cry. "Hey,"
I patted his back,
"It's
alright. It's
over with
now."
"I just wish I
was there for you
then. I don't get
how you were so
strong." We got
off at an exit and
entered my town.
"I have great
friends and a great
family to help
me." I rubbed
his shoulder,
"And now I have
you." I wiped
the tears from his
eyes and ran my
fingers through his
hair. I'm glad I
had him now. Someone
who didn't know
anything for me to
talk to. It was
great.
I
looked at the radio
clock and the time
read 11:54 p.m. and I
smiled. "What
are you thinking
about?" Niall
asked me.
"Look at the
time. My Mom's
not expecting me home
until one." He
smiled at me.
"We can go park
somewhere and
talk?"
"Where do you
suggest?"
"I wish it was
light; I'd say
their grave
but," He cut me
off.
"Done. Let's
go. How do I get
there?" He
wasn't serious
was he?
"Are you crazy?
It's almost
midnight and you want
to go to a
cemetery?"
"What are you
chicken for? I'll
protect you." I
giggled a little.
"Yes, my litte
penguin can save me
from the scary
things." I poked
his face as we drove
up to the light by
the pizza place.
"But seriously;
I wanna meet
them." He just
made my life. This
ment so much to
me.
"When this light
turns green," I
pointed out of my
window. "Turn
right."
***FAVE/COMMENT/FOLLOW/FEEDBACK****
Thanks for reading,
Loves! I'm sorry
this was a little
oddly written. I just
thought I'd give
you more information
about Amber's
past. And before
anyone asks me, yes
this is based on true
events. I didn't
just come up with
this murder plot.
Thanks for all of the
support! I love
coming on Witty and
seeing I have 81
notifications! Keep
it up!
