*Chapter Thirty*
Niall's POV:
I
woke up, staring out
the sliding door in
Amber's living
room. After rubbing my
eyes, I rolled over to
see her still sleeping.
It was a bit
early; I guess my
body's just used to
waking up early by now.
I didn't want to
wake her up; she looked
so peaceful when she
was sleeping.
A coffee table was pushed to the corner of the room by a TV. A note dangled off of it, "Amber, Before yous leave can you do the dishes and throw in a load of wash? I took Matt to his orthadontist apt. and will probably take the rest of the day off with him. Thanks so much! Love you, Mom"
We had the house to ourselves. I looked back at Amber, still sound asleep. When I leaned back down and kiss the bridge of her nose, her eyes slowly opened. "Good morning, Lovely."
"Good morning, Niall." I leaned in a kissed her lightly and let my lips linger for awhile. The sheets ruffled as I moved in closer to her body. She pulled away, "I would, but I'm not." She stared at my lips. "But I love you, still."
"I know you do." I kissed her one last time. "I love you too." Once we mustered up the energy to get up, I offered to make us breakfast while she showered and got ready.
"Sounds fantastic. I won't be long!" She yelled after telling me where everything was. I decided to make us pancakes. While I turned on the oven and prepared to make the batter, I heard her turn on the shower. I could live like this everyday. I wanted to.
I just finished making breakfast when I heard her turn off her music; she must've been done getting ready. I started to clean up after myself. I tossed the dish towel over my left shoulder and picked up the pan. When I turned to place it in the sink, Amber was standing at the kitchen table.
"How did you know pancakes were my favorite?" I smiled at her while she pushed her damp bangs behind her ears.
"Come on, who doesn't like pancakes?" I pulled her closer to me by the belt loops on her jeans. "You look absolutely beautiful." I whispered in her ear. My hands wandered inside her unbuttoned flannel top and locked my fingers together. Her arms rested around my neck.
"Thank you." We settled down and ate. We had all day to get to the train station so we took our time. After breakfast, I showered and put on a fresh pair of clothes. I tossed on a plain under top and some loose fitting jeans. I tied on Amber's bracelet, like I did every day since she gave it to me. And to top it all off I added a white New York snapback.
"Ready to go?" I popped my head in her room where she was putting the final touches on her hair and make-up. She pinned a blue beanie to her soft hair that fell in simple curls by her face.
"Whenever you are." I wrapped my arms around her hips and stared into the mirror with her. I shoved my hands in her pockets.
"I can't wait." I whispered in her neck and sealed it with a peck.
"For what?"
"This life with you." I seemed of forward and fast with all of this, but I had to tell her. I saw the rest of my life with this girl I just met. I was in love with her, and that's all the mattered.
"Me either." She turned to me and held my face in her hands and kissed me.
