*Prologue*
I lifted my head up from the cold, hard desk, and looked up at the clock. Five minutes left and I could leave this place. I looked out the window, at all the colorful leaves that were falling off the trees. I heard footsteps coming towards me, the clicking of heels on the hard floor.
“Allison?” the teacher asked when she arrived to my desk, I looked up at her. "Have you been paying attention?"
I shook my head, "I've been looking out the window, at the leaves."
"They're quite beautiful aren't they?" She looked out the window with me.
The bell rang, dismissing the school . I glanced out the window one last time before leaving . All I could think was "Death can be beautiful"

& I was always the person who was either stuck in the past or
head over heels in the future. I thought that if something was
meant to be..well, it would be. I was the girl who believed in
love at first sight & fell for the stories about forever. Now
some of you may say that I changed but in all honesty, I grew up.
I realized that not only are "happy ever afters" in fairytales,
but also in your heart. You fall, or think you fall, for that
person. Everything's perfect. Right? Did you ever stop to think
that maybe..just maybe, your wrong. You feel like every things
right, they love you & you love them, what more do you need?..So
much more. You just dont realize it. Your focused on the past &
future like I was. You neglect to see the truth in the present
because your so focused on the love you thought you always
knew..when in reality, its probably not even there. Dont let the
sweet words and soft touch change you. Your just his then &
later..but this is now
