The Letter. THE CHANGE. The
I never really fell asleep the
night before. Being up until 3:30 trying to get Mia to calm down
enough to sleep and then talking with the guys until 5. I looked
over at the clock for the billionth time it seemed. 10:00. I
decided I might as well get up. Carefully moving off the bed not
to disturb Mia or Perrie I walked out the door.
I sat down at the kitchen table.
God this summer turned south fast. We are what, 3 days into it
and Mia already wants to go home? I felt a head ache start to
come on; with all of the commotion and lack of sleep it was kinda
expected. I saw a note sitting on the counter edge and got up to
go read it.
I went with Niall to the
hospital. I don't know what time I'll be back. Try to
stay in as much as possible, we don't need any of this
getting out. Not yet. Take care of everyone I'll call you
when I'm on my way home.
I crumpled up the paper and threw
it away. Mia didn't need the chance to see that. I had just
sat back down at the table when Louis walked down the hallway. He
was wearing a pair of Liam's sweats. His hair was all messed
up and he was yawning.
"Morning," he smiled. His
voice was still scratchy. He sat down across from me and started
frown when he realized I wasn't smiling. "What's
"You're kidding, right?
This entire Niall situation!" Louis sighed and rubbed the
back of his neck.
"Yeah thats not good at all,
huh??" I shook my head. I was still exhausted. My eyelids
felt like they weighed a ton, but I refused to close them.
"Want to go get some coffee?"
"I don't like coffee but
I'd love to leave this place for a while," I told
"You don't like
coffee?!" he exclaimed. His voice echoed though the entire
"Shhhh!" I laughed.
"We do not want to wake Mia up. She needs to sleep."
Louis covered his mouth with his hand.
"Let me go shower quick and
I'll be ready to go," I stood up and walked back into
Mia's room quietly. I decided to borrow some of her clothes,
we were about the same size so it didn't really matter. I
pulled out a pair of jean shorts and a light 3/4 sleeved,
blue-teal shirt. I grabbed the silver belt that went with it and
then walked into the bathroom.
I showered quick, taking minimal
time washing my hair and body. I took a freezing cold shower to
try to help wake me up. I turned the water off and quickly dried
off. I threw on the shorts and the tank top I had picked out to
wear the shirt. I started to blow dry my hair. Once it was dry
enough I finished getting dressed. I then quickly straightened my
hair. I didn't add any make up because I was lazy and I
didn't want to make Lou wait any longer. Stepping out of the
bathroom I saw Louis waiting for me on the couch. He was watching
"I'm ready," I
announced slipping on my miss matched flip flops; one was a hot
pink and the other was a bright blue. Louis laughed to himself
when he saw my foot wear and grabbed his keys.
After just a short drive we arrived
at a coffee shop. The strong smell of coffee filled my nose right
away when I opened the car door. Even though I hated the taste of
coffee I loved the smell. It brought back happy memories of when
I would visit my grandparents. We walked in and I stood at the
back studying the different choices of drinks. Most of it made no
sense to me. I was about to give up when I saw something I knew
"Do you think they still offer
hot chocolate even though its not winter?" I leaned over and
whispered to Louis.
"I don't know, wait what?
You want hot chocolate? In the middle of summer?" He raised
one eyebrow at me.
"Don't judge me! I'm a
strange individual, you should be used to it by now." The
lady in front of us walked away from the counter and we were up.
Louis ordered first, I tried to pay attention to what he got but
it made no sense to me. Louis turned to me indicating he was
"Can I have a hot chocolate
please?" The young man behind the counter stared at me for a
second. Shaking his head he went and got our orders. After we
paid we walked back into the fresh summer air.
"Do you want to go back right
away or do you want to walk around for a while?" Louis asked
me taking another sip of his fancy named drink.
"Lets walk. I'm not ready
to go back yet," I told him. He nodded and we started
walking down one of the sidewalks. We didn't talk much at
first but once we started we avoided the Mia/Niall issue. We
talked mostly about his family, what its like on tour, things you
would expect me to already know considering I have talked to him
for over a year. After a while we decided to head back, and when
we were almost to the car I slipped my hand into his. His fingers
instinctively intertwined with mine and I knew he was smiling
even though I didn't look up at him. I finished my chocolaty
drink right as we reached his car. After throwing away my cup I
hopped back in his car and we left, headed back to Liam's.
Back to deal with all of the drama.
