"Katia!" I heard
a familiar low, raspy voice yell. Puzzled I
stopped and looked around. I tried to locate
the voice I knew so well. Finally I spotted a
curly haired boy. A giant smile was painted
across his face as he walked over. I let go
of Jace's hand and felt him resist
letting me go. Pulling away I started to walk
towards him.
"Harry!" I
exclaimed as we got closer. He embraced me a
hug which I graciously took. I had missed him
so much, I had missed all of them. Ever since
the fight we hadn't talked much. I know
at first I was mad at everyone, but right
before school started I had forgiven 3/5 of
them.
It was nice to
see him, it was comforting. "What are
you doing here?" I asked him. After the
break up I had kept track of where they were,
what they were doing. If I couldn't be
with them, I at least wanted to make sure
they were all okay.
Before he could
answer I saw him look behind me. I glanced
back and saw Jessica and Jace awkwardly
standing there. "Uhh guys this is Harry
Styles, Hazz this is Jessica, my best friend
and room mate, and Jace." I added
quietly, "My
boyfriend."
As if to prove
it Jace slipped his hand into mine and gave
it a tight squeeze. You could almost feel the
hostility radiating off of him in waves. I
ignored it though, he could deal. Harry was
nothing more than a friend, and I had no
intentions of changing that.
"Pleasure
to meet you," Harry nodded to them. His
voice sounded deeper to me since the last
time I had spoken to him, if that was
possible.
"So what
brings you to our small college in the middle
of nowhere Iowa?" Jessica asked. I
looked over to him to hear his answer, it
really didn't make much sense to me that
he was here.
Harry looked
over to me before speaking. "Niall
wanted to visit Mia's parents during the
break so we came with him." Jessica and
Jace both slightly froze up, knowing how
sensitive I still was to loosing Mia. I was
about to ask how long they were going to say
when something clicked.
"When you
say we..." my voice trailed off as I
looked over behind him and saw everyone else
walking over.
Zayn was the
first one I noticed. He didn't look much
different, just more mature though there was
now no evidence of his blonde streak. Niall
was right next to him, his blonde completely
gone. His blue eyes that were once so full of
life were now empty. He looked down with a
smile on his face and I followed his gaze.
Holding onto his hand was little Milo. He had
grown so much since I had last seen him. He
had cubby little cheeks and hands and was
walking well now. He had Niall's dark
brown hair and his clear blue eyes, though
unlike his father's they were full of
life.
My attention
was redirected as I heard a laugh. My heart
lurched at the sound, and my stomach fell to
my feet. I looked up slowly and looked
directly into the face of Louis. He was
looking over at Liam, smiling and laughing.
And even though I barely could see him I
could tell he had changed very little; he
still had the same facial features, the blue
green eyes, the same hair cut. The only
difference was he looked more toned, as if he
worked out a lot.
I hadn't
realized I wasn't breathing until Jace
asked me if I was okay. Sucking in a deep
breath of air I nodded. "Yeah I'm
fine." I mumbled. I glanced over at
Harry to see if he noticed my slight slip up.
He had and was watching me. I smiled at him
and looked look over at the five boys joining
us.
"Katia," Zayn
said out reaching his arms in a hug. Once
again I had to pull my hand from Jace's
grip. We hugged for only a second, before I
heard an Irish accent.
"I've
missed you," Niall said. His eyes were
filled with sympathy, as were mine. We both
knew the pain the other was going through. He
looked down at the young boy pulling on his
pant leg. "What?" he asked. His
voice lighter and happier than before. He
kneeled down so he was eye level with Milo.
Smiling I joined him.
Milo looked at
me as though I was going to jump out and
attack him in a second. Hiding behind
Niall's leg his big blue eyes watched
me.
