I layed down in my bed and began to cry,
as I silently thought of that one special guy.
All my friends told me he wasnt worth my tears.
But how could I forget a guy I've been loving for all these years?

            [ Time Passes... ]

Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.

- new moon

The thoughts running through my head were thoughts that didn’t make me happy in the least bit. I went out to the guest house to get the phone, but it was locked, so I went back to the house. It was locked. I was stuck outside. I knew this was the time, in less than ten minutes I would be dead.     I ran around the house to check every single door and window. None were unlocked. Someone was chasing me now through the corn field behind my house. I was screaming, hoping for someone to hear my yelling and come save me. No one heard it. I was stuck between this man who was trying to kill me and a tree.     My life was over. But I tried to stay strong. I kept running as fast as I could hoping he wouldn’t catch up to me. The adrenaline rush inside my body made me want to cry. I held myself in and just kept running. I turned around while I was running. He was gone. I knew he would be back.     He chased me back to the house, I had no where to go. I pleaded for him to let me go. He wasn’t about to just let me off that easily. He stabbed me in the back. I fell to the ground and he kicked and hit me. He stabbed me once more in the stomach. Now he thought for sure I was dead. But I was still conscious, trying my best not to die.     I couldn’t feel any of my body. My parents came home, and noticed me lying on the ground, almost dead. They called the ambulance immediately. They didn’t think I would make it. They also didn’t know who did this to me. Whoever did it would pay the consequence. They rushed me to the Emergency Room where they did all they could to save me.     Finally they stopped the bleeding and got me into surgery as soon as they could. I had survived, with minor injuries to my spine. That night made me think twice about my life. I appreciated every little thing I had. My parents never made me stay home by myself again.     We got a new dog almost a year after this had happened. We named her Rosie, she was a golden retriever. It was the two year anniversary. My parents, my brother, and I were sitting around the Monopoly board, the phone rang and my dad answered. There was a screeching noise. I could hear it loud and clear, and it reminded me of that awful night. I never wanted to relive anything that happened. My life was never going to be the same.     Now every time I answered the phone I could hear that screeching in my ear and it gave me pains in my spine. This man had now killed my family and everyone who had importance in my life. I would never let this go. My life was ruined. Now I was only seconds away from death. All I could do was pray for my life now.
