*That Night*
It was just me and him leaning against a rock away from the rest of the mingling crowd. We noticed more people piling onto the beach getting reading for the fireworks. I listened to the soothing sound of the waves as they slapped against the sand. Suddenly, I noticed from the corner of my eye that he was looking at me. I turned to see a brilliant smile on his face.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said. After a long pause I asked with curiosity, "What do you like best about me?"
"Everything," he anounced.
"Can you be a little more specific?"
"You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my entire life. You're everything I've ever wanted, everything I'll ever need."
I could tell he was telling the truth by the look in his eye. I couldn't do anything but smile. I felt the gentle touch of his fingers lifting up my chin, and the next thing I knew we were kissing. I felt a swarm of butterflies escape into my stomach. It was a slow, passionate kiss and it was perfect. At that moment I heard a big noise, like a gun going off. We both stopped and looked into the sky. Fireworks. Perfect timing. We both smiled, and looked back at each other. I tuned everything out besides him. He kissed me again, but htis time it was a series of kisses. I concluded that this was the best night of my
