Summer Days- chapter 4
“Hi.” I put the bag on the steps and walked over to him. “I’m Ben. I live nextdoor.” “I’m Sam.” “Well I just wanted to let you know that I’m having a party tonight. You can all come. Its from like 9 to 1.” “Cool. I will be there.” “Cool.” “I have to go put this stuff away but I will see you around?” “Yea.” I went inside and me and Aaron decided that it isn’t a good idea to have a summer relationship. He said, “What ever happens, happens.” I was glad that we wernt really anything. I started getting ready and made plans to meet up with Mila later. At 8:30 I went to Ben’s house. We talked for a while until people started to get here. He introduced me to everyone. I ended up with him all night. Everywhere he went he had his arm around me. At like 12 everybody started leaving. They were gone by 12:30. He walked me home but when I told him he could come inside I didn’t realize Aaron, Keith, and Greg were on the couch. Before we went in, Ben kissed me. I kissed him and we walked in the house. Aaron said, “Who’s this?” keith and greg just sat there. “This is Ben. He lives next door.” “Where were you?” “You’re not my dad!” “Answer the question!” “The only guy in this house I answer to is Keith!” I grabbed Ben’s hand and e went to my room. I locked the door and we sat there. He said, “I don’t want to start trouble.” “No its not you… he’s mad because I told him I didn’t wnnt to go out with him anymore.” “Oh. Well… tomorrow night Want to go to the pier with me?” “Sure.” He had to go home so I walked him to the door and before he opened it to leave I kissed him. It lasted a really long time. Like 3 minutes. Then he left. I went and sat with Keith, Greg, and Aaron. They were watching some scary movie. I sat next to Aaron because I knew I smelled like Ben. That would drive him crazy. We were watching it for a while. Every time I got scared I would put my face in his chest and he would laugh.
