im so so sorry about your friend. But if you read my comment if you ever have the time tell him i said "The guy Im in love with right now has a girlfriend at least he had a chance to ask her out. But even though she rejected him doesnt mean anything he sounds like a good guy but I know those school too never fall for them. They just use you anyways. i know this because my ex of two years was basically the school player and he didnt love me enough to stay with me. So never go for those kind of people there is no point. The girl didn't do anything - every school has their , and just because she turned him down doesn't make her a villiain, she didn't know and even if she did, he'd be pitying her into dating him.

i'm so sorry, but he acted like an idiot there. if everyone who got rejected comitted, there would be very few people left on earth. but anyway, i really hope he'll be okay, and realize no is worth something like this.
