Poems Quote #2954422
all quotes · poems ·

When it came time for maturity, You were already the humidity.

When it came time for maturity,
   You were already the humidity.
Seeping into everybody's skin,
   Like it was paper thin.
When time came,
I was treated just the same.
Little did anyone know,
That the wind would begin to blow.
Yet you would stick like glue,
To the very tip of my shoe.
Grasping for a breath of air,
Just to reach my fragile hair.
You were like a second chance,
That started with a first glance.
I never knew the possibility,
   Of this unknown humidity.
