Chapter 9
Caleb dropped me off at my house and kissed me goodnight.
"I'll text you later ok?" he said and headed off home walking. I opened the front door and stepped inside and closed the door with my back to the door. Then something struck me at the middle of my forehead.
"Score!" I heard Frankie yelled and high-five Max then ran to wherever. If that's the way they want to play? Then we'll play that way. I ran upstairs and entered my room, I went over to my nightstand and opened the drawer. No one besides me goes in here, I took my lime green nerf gun and took out my protective eye glasses and slipped my vest over myself. I had an adrenaline rush go through my whole body and I laughed to myself, oh boy I'm starting to get a little too excited. When I stepped out of my room all the lights were out, my steps were light as a feather. All the rooms were clear on the second floor and I went downstairs where it was pitch black. My breathing got heavy an I just wanted to scream, I always got so into things like this it made me crazy. The whole house was empty I went to the laundry room and stepped outside. The warm summer weather filled the air I loved it, I went around the pool an no one was there. What the hell? Where are they? A dart flew right by me and I tackled the floor for cover, at least I knew I wasn't alone here. I peeked around the corner of the pool and saw someone's shadow behind the tree. A evil smile spread across my face.
