- Chapter Two Charlotte Kacey I swear to god. If one more of these germ covered poor people try to talk to me again I will jump off this freaking plane. As I slam my tray table up the forty year old man to my left looks at me curiously. “Mind you own business, creep” I’m so done. Ever since my parents got that damn letter from that prison school in England, they’ve decided to cut me off. Before I got the letter (before my life was ruined) my parents barely talked to me. But when that letter showed up, they decided to be the Super Parents of the century. They cut me off from everything…. My friends, my credit cards and my boyfriend. I sighed at the thought of leaving it all behind. Not because I’d miss my friends, but because I’d miss the Popularity… always being stared at, always setting the trends. But whatever, I can do that at St. Augustine’s… I hope. Reaching into my bag I grab the first thing my hand touches, when I pull it out I see that it’s a People Magazine with my mom and dad on it. The headline says ‘Celebrity Power Couple Still Going Strong’ I throw the magazine to my left in disgust, not caring that it hits the old man from before. Reaching further into my bag I grab my cell phone. The only thing my parents didn’t take away from me. Crap, I think as I remember that I’m supposed to call Trey. I unbuckle my seatbelt and step past the Creep… the smile on his face as I scooted by him was gross. As I enter the bathroom I flip open my phone and scroll through the hundreds of contacts, looking for one in particular. When I find ‘Trey Williams’ I press the call button and press it against my ear. When he finally answers I hear a girl in the back round. “Hey Trey, it’s me Charlie... your girlfriend” he doesn’t respond for a few seconds before saying “Oh yeah, about that… since you’re going to Boarding school in all for being a delinquent and sh*t… I don’t think this relationship is going to work” When I finally register the shock that he broke up with me I respond back “That’s exactly why I was calling. Since there is going to be tons of boys at my school and all, I didn’t think it would be fair to you if I was going around flirting with them” Satisfied with my response I wait for him to reply. “Isn’t it an all girls school?” The girl in the back round giggles and my face turns bright red. “screw you” I say as I hang up. I then lean against the sink with my head in my hands… why is my life so messed up? “Excuse me, miss. I need to use the bathroom” I hear from the other side of the door. “yeah, yeah” I say as I walk out. Eager to fall asleep and forget about all the drama I pretty much jump into my seat. - Chapter Four Hanna Harnett P ulling my orange Starkid sunglasses out of my bag and sliding them on my face, I stared up at the large, cathedral-like building in front of me. My mouth fell open, and my gum fell to my tongue, a soggy lump in my mouth, but I couldn’t help it! This place was huge! Just when I thought the large brick wall and sturdy iron gates were over-the-top, the ‘Correctional Academy’ proved me wrong. The place could have been a church if they replaced all of the barred windows with some stained glass. People were strolling all around me. A lot of them were obviously returning as they said hi to their friends, but there were lots of people who looked as confused and dazed as I was, as well. August weather was freezing here! I wondered what my dad would think if he knew I was being sent to a boarding school for delinquents. Tears stung in my eyes. No, I couldn’t think of that. Not right now. In no hurry to get inside, I glanced around at all the girls around me, mostly in fresh, new clothes, giving their iPhones most of their attention. I glanced at my PINK hoodie. It was clean (enough), but it had an old feel about it. I hadn’t grown since like 5th grade, so I never really needed new clothes. This jacket was from last year, so it wasn’t too old, and my Hollister jean short-shorts were brand new (and WAY against the dress code). My favorite orange spandex were peeking out under the shorts. I never wore shorts without spandex, because you wouldn’t believe all the pervs there are, even at an all-girls academy. I strolled up to a group of maybe five people. They didn’t look nice, but jealous eyes followed them as they talked, snapping their gum importantly. Popular. They reeked with self-importance. These were my people. I walked up to them, nervous again. Why was I all-the-sudden so nervous? I was never worried! Then again, the last time I made new friends was when I was seven at a summer camp. Their conversation was typical, they talked about make-up, how dumb this place was, and the rich boys private high-school a few blocks away.Wait, what? This was my opening. I stepped up to the girls, trying to look like I had somewhere else to be. “Hey, sorry, I just got here, and I was walking by, and…” My foot twitched and my hands shook. I took a deep breath. “And, I heard you guys. You said there’s a guy’s school here?” Everyone looked at the tallest girl there. Guess I found their Alpha. She gave me the once-over, then bit her lip. What’s that supposed to mean?The girl took a deep breath, gave me a snotty smile, and said, “Um, honey, this is a high school. Are you sure you’re supposed to be here?” The four girls around her tittered. I took a deep breath. I was tired of people thinking I was young because I was barely four and a half feet! With a voice reigning all calm thoughts, I replied sweetly, “Yeah, I think I’m sure. What I’d really like, though, is to know more about the boys school.” I pulled my sunglasses off of my eyes and onto my head, then artfully pulled my hair out of its hair tie and shook it out in one swift movement. It was my classic move to impress people, usually guys, but I occasionally used it to put snotty girls in their place. The Alpha looked surprised, but regained her composure in less than a second. “Hi! I’m Dawn, and this is Britney, Alicia, Leah, and Kate! What’s your name?” I smiled and told her my name, and just like that, I was almost at the top of the social heap, where I belonged. Dawn went on explaining the boys’ high school, and I got more interested at every detail she made. A bell that tinkled like a wind-chime rang, and just like that, hundreds of people rushed into the building. All of Dawn’s betas did too, but when I turned, Dawn grabbed my wrist. “Wait for everyone to go inside,” she whispered sneakily. I turned and watched everyone head inside. One of the adults who looked like she may have been a retired wrestler-turned teacher glanced at us. I pretended to be heading in, and then bent down like I had dropped something. It was an amateur move I had pulled many times. The lady glanced at us, then nodded and walked in. Once the coast was clear, I turned towards Dawn. Her hazel eyes were bright with excitement. “Nice move you pulled there,” she told me, sounding sincere. She shivered and zipped her Abercrombie jacket, hugging her arms from the cold. “Thanks,” I replied, fixing my own hoodie that had fallen off my shoulder. “Why aren’t we going inside?” Dawn grinned. “You sounded interested about the boys’ school. I found a shortcut out of the wall at the end of last year, and it just so happens that their school is having a party later. All we need is a hot guy’s invite! I’d say we have about an hour and a half before the headmistress finishes her depressingly boring speech and starts role. You in? “You bet!” >>Rules aren't the only things broken here...♥

"Kelsey?" I called. She wasn't quite awake yet. Suddenly, doctors came rushing in, telling me I had to wait outside. I did, for a few hours. One of the doctors finally came out saying, "I understand that you're Kelsey's friend, Aaron?" "Yes," I whispered. He bit his lip. "She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out. Instead, she looked me straight in the eyes, and whispered, "I don't know you, but I like your eyes."
