Chapter 17- Marnie POV

" I can't believe you spent 200 dollars all by yourself, I only spent 25 dollars..." Miles mumbled. I couldn't help but laugh, "oopsie."

He rolled his eyes, "I'm going to buy McDonald, what do you want?"

"Cheeseburger with fries and a sprite please!"

"Yeah all right."

My eyes went over to where a piercing shop was. I might as well buy something for Miles as 'Horray you survive high school' or something like that, I mean he's being so nice to me and would chose me over popularity. Plus he likes lip rings and ear rings so might as well buy him something beside anime thing for once.

You don't see that everyday.

"I'm going to buy something really quick, I'll meet you up in 10 minutes okay?" I said getting up. "Yeah okay I'll order for us then" he said. I nodded before dashing into the shop. There were so many piercing things that I was kind of shocked. I didn't even have my ear pierced yet and here I am.

'Let's see...' I thought looking through the lip rings section. Finally I saw one that looked really nice on Miles. I grabbed it and when I was paying, something caught my eyes, there was a set of silver bracelet that says you can engrave something on it.

An idea appeared in my head.

"Can I get that silver bracelet set? I want one to say Jock and behind it says Dimitri and the other Geek with Marnie written behind it" I said. The lady nodded and took it as I went to the other cashier where a man was and handed over the lip ring.

Dimitri's POV

"So you don't need to hang out with that geek today?" Kathy said with a seductive voice. "Nah" For some reason, kissing girls and making out with them didn't satisfy me anymore. Every time I did, my mind drifted to Marnie.

What has that geek done to me?

"It's for a friend, not for me" I heard Marnie's voice. "Is something wrong?" Kathy said. "Uh nothing, why don't you go to the Deli and buy me something to drink?" I said. She nodded and said, "Don't miss me to much" before walking off.

I rolled my eyes and hide behind one of the sections and realize it was Marnie. She was purchasing a lip ring...why in the world wears lip ring in our school? Who was this friend of hers?

Then it hit me, Miles. Of coarse, he was the only one in the whole school with lip rings.

I clutched my hand and I felt like hitting something so hard until my hand was numb. Of coarse it was him. Who else was I hoping for? The man nodded as the lady behind the cashier smiled at her and said "All done! That will be 40 dollars in total."

Damn and she bought him a 40 dollars lip ring, now nice was that. Before she can see me,and before I go up to her and demand to know why she spent so much for that guy, I left the store.

Marnie's POV

"It's 40 dollar with the lip ring and the bracelet right?" I asked. The lady nodded and I gave them 40 dollars. Thank God I have emergency money on me. I look at the receipt, 7 dollars for Miles lip ring and 33 dollars for Dimitri's gift.

Wow.

I made my way over to McDonald to see Miles already eating without me, how nice. He waved hi to me as I sat down. He brushed the side bangs away from his eyes, "Yo, I thought you ditched me" he said.

"I'm not that mean" I said rolling my eyes and gave him a small bag. I made sure I took out Dimitri's present before giving him the bag. "What is it?" he opened it and looked at the lip ring.

"Thanks I love it" he said hugging me. I giggled, trying to hide the blush, "It's cool."
