your mom will be fine. She would be answering her phone if she wasn't. If this isn't normal for her, maybe sumthing bad happened to her friend, & her friend needed her. If your moms friend has kids, try calling them, & ask whats going on.

put your little sister down to sleep, and sing her a song, or read her a book. it will get her mind off of it, and she wont be worried. you and your older sister should just call your dad and ask him to drive down to your house to stay with your girls.
