it's hard to let go,
it's hard to give up.
it's a tough life,
don't throw a fit.
put all your troubles aside,
i'll be your guide.
i'm gods messanger,
here to save her.
so listen up,
lok to sky and remember that he is always by your side.

He never really loved me. He just wanted what i would never give; my heart. a killer in disquise, a monster on the prowl. a trick of the eye made him seem mine but that was all a lie. ~ Midknight
Hi, my name is Tristan Maylex and I’m 15. I have black hair with blue highlights and my clothes match my hair; wild. And I have a dark secret…..I’m a demon. Big shocker, right? I know. –Sighs- most people think I’m human and I’d prefer it stayed that way. If I told you the pain I have to go thru just to stay hidden, you would probably laugh at my weakness. The truth is, I don’t really care. It doesn’t matter what people think of me. I’m not a wannabe or a poser. I can tell you the truth and nothing but the truth, but you would probably hate me. My mate, Lucas, doesn’t even know the truth about me.i grew up alone since I was 7. My family was killed and ever since then I have lived in the Lynx residence. Not a happy ending. I was taken from my house in France and brought to Mexico, it is a beautiful country….but it’s not my style. -2 years later- -Pounding on the door- Tristan!!!! My mom’s voice called. I sat up and scratched my head. Next to me, my cat Morass, stretched. I scratched him behind his ears. “I know boy, trust me, I know.” I pushed the blankets off and stood up, my back stiff from sleeping on the floor and walked to the door and opened it. “Yes mother?” I asked. “It’s time to get up. You have stuff to do.” I nodded and closed my door again. I opened my closet and pulled out a pair of tripps and my black sheep shirt. I walked to the bathroom and got dressed. Next I opened up the medicine cabinet and pulled out my eyeliner, mascara, and my powder blue eye shadow. Morass looked up at me from the bathtub. “What do you want Mor-Mor?” He looked up at the faucet and answered, “cats need to be washed too you know.” I sighed and turned the water on for him. “The only bad thing about you being able to talk is that you don’t talk, you just complain.” He cackled and turned to look at me, “well if you would rather just hear my annoying meows I can stop…..” he tempted me. Everyone tempted me. I smiled at him. “That won’t be necessary.” I walked down the five stories to get to the kitchen and walked to the dishwasher and pulled out a glass. I poured some coffee into the glass and sat down on the counter. My mom was nowhere to be found. My older brother Torento came running down the stairs, talking on his cell. He stopped when he saw me, “Freak.” He said. I shivered. That one word fried me. He walked past me and dropped a piece of paper on the counter next to me and walked outside. I picked up the paper. It said, “NOONE LIKES YOU. STOP TRYING” I rolled my eyes and crumpled the paper up and threw it away. A few minutes later morass came downstairs and looked up at me. “Torento again?” he asked. I nodded. “Don’t let him get to you, he is just jealous.” I shook my head, “Yeah. He’s perfect and I’m not” –sighs- “you wouldn’t let anyone else tear you down, so why do you let Torento do it?” Morass asked. I looked at him and walked away. -MONDAY MORNING- -School bell rings, kids shouting- “Hurry up Tristan!” my friend Belleza called from the doorway. I looked up at her from the steps “Do I have to come to school?” Belleza frowned at me. “because if you do not go to school, never have a job, and if not get a job, you will not be able to get the money. and then where are you?” I rolled my eyes and brought my language out. “Beauty, you know very well that I do not need money to buy a house. I can just move in with Lucas.” This time it was her who rolled her eyes. “lucas? What happens if you two don’t make it to that time? I mean geez, you’re only in high school!" I tuned her out. People where always telling me what I had to do. Belleza was only trying to help me out, but I wish that sometimes she wouldn’t tell me all the stuff I have failed at. I sighed and threw my backpack over my shoulder and followed her into the building.

We met in kindergarten. We were best friends. She always told me she loved my eyes. I didn't quite know why. I was in love with her, so of course my face lit up immensely whenever she said it. She was beautiful, kind, and extremely funny. We'd be talking about nothing, and she'd turn to me and whisper, "I like your eyes." One day, I was playing basketball, waiting for her to drive over to my house to have a game with me. Suddenly, I got a phone call. It was her mom. She was in a panic. I couldn't quite understand what she was saying. It sounded like, "Aaron, come quick! Kelsey, accident, Main Street! Blood. Come now!" I had no clue what happened, so I ran to Main Street with my basketball shorts and a tee shirt on. I saw Kelsey's mom helplessly crying, waiting for the ambulance to arrive. I saw a totaled car, blood everywhere. Then I saw her, Kelsey. My heart stopped as I frantically ran over to her. "Kelsey? Kelsey!" She was unconscious. I started crying. I know it isn't very manly, but I couldn't help it. Before I could say anymore, the medics took her away, the main source of blood coming from her head. I went to the hospital that night, I went every night. in fact, the only time I left was to go out to eat, but that's it. The doctors tried getting me to leave, but I refused. It was all my fault. If it wasn't for me, wanting to play basketball with her, she wouldn't be going through this. It was already four days, and she hasn't woken up. On the fifth day, I saw her eyes gently open. "Kelsey?" I called. She wasn't quite awake yet. Suddenly, doctors came rushing in, telling me I had to wait outside. I did, for a few hours. One of the doctors finally came out saying, "I understand that you're Kelsey's friend, Aaron?" "Yes," I whispered. He bit his lip. "She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out. Instead, she looked me straight in the eyes, and whispered, "I don't know you, but I like your eyes."
