Poems Quote #5296968
all quotes · poems ·

Just now came on the headache Of fear, of guilt, of grief. I

Just now came on the headache
Of fear, of guilt, of grief.
I beg to the God you believed in
That you’ve found your sweet relief.

Just now came on the coldness
Of uncertainty of death,
And in my own dull reverie
I long to hear your breath.

Did you hear me cry out for you?
Perhaps you found your hope.
Or did you ignore our prayers, my girl,
And tighten that length of rope?
